There is no such thing as a difficult rom, if you were smart enough to root and install twrp on your KFHD7, then you'll be fine with any rom , installing a rom is easier, all roms are good for any beginner or expert. The kitkat rom I'm running at the moment is Hashcode's CyanogenMod 11 latest build and it is definitely stable.

Oh cool. I'll have to try that. I installed CM 10.1 (Hashcode's latest jellybean) and it was stable, I thought KitKat was still early days.

Sorry didn't mean to come out as an A-hole if I did so, but yeah any ROM is good for any level of expertise.

Take your pick http://forum.xda-developers.com/kindle-fire-hd/7-development although 10.1 is not the newest Jelly Bean ROM. If you want to stick with CM try cm 10.2 There are so many great ROMs though.
new version?

Well clicking the link seems to not work so copy and paste it into your browser or just look under Kindle Kindle Fire hd 7 Android development.

I'm considering porting AOKP to the Kindle Fire HD 7 (2012). I'm curious if anyone would be interested in AOKP. And if so what version Kitkat or Jellybean or both. Honest opinions please.

I am interested. One question, how do I port a rom for the Nexus 7 2013(flo) to the Kindle Fire HD(tate)?
There's posts on XDA on porting a lot of posts just have to find one that works. I'm using AOKP jellybean right now.

While porting, I did every thing right, but ended up in a bootloop.

Ok, I will

I have been testing my AOKP port and I have a fully functional aokp with Bluetooth working. If anyone is interested in a fully working AOKP ROM let me know. I'm also working on jellybean ports for those who still run jellybean. Working on a slimbean port now.

Does anyone know how to install the lasted kernel posted by maromi?
I get stuck in a boot loop installing the no override and override versions 3/27.

Most have been doing this. I got one to boot but I had to work hard at it. The way to flash is to just dirty flash and wipe dalvick and cache after. If you get a fail then flash a nandroid or Hashcode 1.5 GHz kernel and repeat with next kernel. I like a fresh start when testing even though dirty flashing the next test kernel should be fine.

I am using an Atrix HD with CM 10.2. I tried to install CM12 for MB886 but it says that my phone is XT925. It's strange because the CM 10.2 I have installed was for MB886. BTW I tried to install CM12 for XT925 but the installation is still aborted but now because of the bootloader. What should I do to install CM12?
Thanks for the reply!
What recovery are you using? That could be the source of the issue.

Wipe system, flash the CM12 from MB886, XT925_jbbl, or xt907 (i think that's photon Q's number) download pages.

I believe is an out dated recovery issue.
I would like to port Resurrection Remix ROM to Op3t. What would I need to do this? Is it possible right now to do that?

Not possible to compile from source right now since there aren't any cm device trees or kernel yet.
