there is a script located in system/etc/init.d regarding the mass USB storage ..delete that or use the usb switcher from the android market to switch back to MTP or viceversa
Thanks for the quick response but i didn't work out.
when i tried deleting this file from ASTRO it says error deleting file ???
Secondly, in play store usb switcher is for galaxy S1 thats it.
Now what needs to be done?
Hi friends,
I have usb otg cable which can connect my phone to usb pen drive but I am unable to find any info in file managers i downloaded from playstore since there is no default file manager, there is no mounting happen for my usb storage device.
Since its ICS which should support pendrives via usb connection by default so i am asking you all if u can verify the same.

hi (sorry for my bad english),
I've been using CM10 without problems (updates via OTA included), MTP & mass storage modes working properly.
Until one day stopped working!
- The mobile charges fine, both USB and wall charger.
- I installed CM10 from scratch, with all the wipes, even I tried with another SD and does not work.
- When connecting the mobile by USB (Windows & Ubuntu) recognizes the device and the modem but no storage.
- From ubuntu console.... "adb devides" command do not recognize it.
- In the mobile shows no notification, no debugging or usb.
but ...
- From the recovery CWM ... I can mount the sd by usb and it works fine! adb also recognize the device!
- Recognizes the phone SmartFlash Mode S / W in windows.
so its not hardware relating? that might be happening?
thank you very much
PD: FIXED! flash official ginger bread with SmartFlash and CM10 again... and now works usb storage.
Hey,
I have the same problem as you, do you have a link to the official ROM, I've been searching for a while and I don't find any >_<
thanks
EDIT:
Finaly I found a link ^_^
Hello everyone,
First of all, I'm sorry for my low level of english, I'll try to explain my problem correctly
I have an Htc One Mini 2 since few days and when I connect the phone on my computer, it's recognize as a "media device" and not as a USB storage. So, I can't transfert files, create folders etc.
I'll try to solve that by activating the debugging mode and updating my drivers but it doesn't work
Do you know how to proceed?
Thank you for your help :fingers-crossed:

first thing to do is go to your device manager and see if you have any device to be installed. You should have "Android USB Devices">"My HTC"
Are you in windows, Mac or Linux?

Most android phones are connected as a "Media Device". Mostly because they use the MTP protocol. You can transfer files, I transfer them all the time. The phone will show up as "HTC One Mini 2" as a media device, open it up and you should be good to go
I've tested several dongles and adapters on stock ROMs x520 and x526 and nothing...
Ir really seems that the OTG function is disabled.
I've made some tests and althou the OTG function is detected there's no OTG signal detected.
Did this happend to anybody else?
Is there any way to enable the OTG?
================ EDIT ==============
Well...
The aftermath is that i had 2 f*cked adapters... Tested with a friend's otg adapter and... Voilá it works...
Also, must never uninstall or delete the stock file manager...
