D5803 strange network problem.. expertise question. please help me.. - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have Z3 compact (D5803).
i have used it for a long time.
After installing "D5803_2157_Concept_6.ftf" via flashtool, my z3c lost network.
i have tried tons of methods:
i have flashed "D5803_4.4.4_23.0.A.2.93_TR.ftf", and rooted.
i have flashed "D5803_23.4.A.1.264_1289-4791_R2C.ftf" and rooted.
i have repaired the firmware via Sony PC Companion 2.1
i have repaired the firmware via Xperia Companion
i have tried installing twrp, when i try to install any custom rom, i get an error like this: "this rom is for d5803, d5833 etc etc... but you phone is differen"
i have tried this: http://firmwaremobiletools.blogspot.com.tr/2015/11/how-to-remove-pattern-lock-from-all.html
i have tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/guide-unlock-z3c-international-bands-t3091344
So i can flash any ftf without any problem.
But i can not install anything via twrp. (although i can install twrp)
i can root roms without any problem.
But phone can not connect to network..
it always says "invalid card. emergeny calls only"
- there is no IMEI problem..
Anyne have any solution for my problem?
Thanks...
- i have attached screenshots of *#*#service#*#* and *#*#info#*#*

Noone have any idea?

what shall i do?
Repair via PC Companion and go back to stock where everything was fine. If even this not help, try different SIM card. Then if the problem persist go via warranty.
thanks

[Q] How to fully restore Xperia Z1

Hi,
Im trying to restore Xperia Z1 original firmware (that can get updates from Sony) and I cant seem to succeed...
I have used flashtool but the software is just not right:
I can't use Wi-Fi, the sim is not working anymore (Im from Israel), everytime the phone get shut down - it asks me in what language do I want to use...
`I have tried using PC companion (Repair) also` but it tells me that my phone doesnt have an update.
I dont know what to do anymore
any advice?
Just download a rom for your model z1 and use, 'Flashtool' to flash the image.

I did that.
The IMEI is gone. Nothing seems to work ...
its probably because the flash version is not compatible with the baseband. Try flashing an older version (for eg. .108 version : u can get it from mega ftf thread in general section) and then after the flash, pc companion should detect and install the latest update.

HELP: Upgraded from stock 4.2.2 to 4.4 and lost network connectivity

Hello All,
Tried searching for a case peculiar as mine, wasnt able to find one so here is the lowdown.
1. Xperia C6603 , originally had 4.2.2 stock ROM which was working fine with my local network. Dont remember the baseband version.
2. Used XperiFirm to download the latest firmware as reported in the list. Dont know what does the suffix RxD (R1D--R8D) means. Anyone please explain. As per the below screenshot downloaded version "C6603_Customized HK_1270-5695_10.5.1.A.0.292_R1D" .
3. Before flashing the downloaded firmware I flashed the dualrecovery from XZDualRecovery. I made a TWRP backup of the 4.2.2 stock ROM on an external SD card, for all partitions including TA,system,boot etc.
4. Used Flashtool to convert the downloaded (step 2) firmware "FILES" format to a flashable FTF file. Flashed the firmware , which went on smoothly.
5. At the first startup I got the following screen , telling me that it is a prototype device/firmware . I went on to see that the network which was working fine with stock ROM 4.2.2 was no longer available.
I tried to go to settings to check and search for networks, which shows available networks, but unable to get itself registered to the SIM providers network. Tried all the settings combinations in menu "*#*#4636*#*#" , nothing makes it work to get the GSM network connectivity back. It is supposedly on the correct setting of LTE/WCDMA/GSM which my current operator supports. Following is the "About" screen for current baseband version.
Tried going in the "Service" menu via "*#*#7378423#*#*" , with the following info, having an unknown modem configuration.
6. Tried reverting back to the old TWRP backup, for which I needed the TWRP recovery loaded on the phone. So ran the XZDualRecovery script again (with the new 4.4 ROM on the phone), however the script hangs around in the end and never reboots the phone with the TWRP recovery. So i am unable to revert and use the stock ROM backups .
7. I dont want to root/unlock the bootloader, however I tried installing TWRP via its "XZrecovery.apk", but it requires busybox (which requires a rooted phone). So i tried the rooting script from [GUIDE] How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292 [Locked Bootloader], but it also hangs around in the end and never delivers a rooted phone.
8. Tried looking around for assortment of xperia Z baseband files to check and see if flashing it separately can make it work, however to no avail the the condition persists.
Either ways having a prototype version on the phone which transmits all data back to sony is not desirable at all. So need to replace it for sure. Currently I am stuck in the middle without a clue of how to go back and restore the 4.2.2 TWRP backup, or to actually flash a "non-prototype" or retail version of 4.4.x .
Any help/guidance/suggestions to remedy would be appreciated.
Thanks.
=====================UPDATE
Ok followed the instructions at [GUIDE] How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292 [Locked Bootloader] , read carefully again to flash the .230 kernel. Flashed the XZDualRecovery and got the TWRP recovery back.
Restored the old 4.2.2 TWRP backup , hoping that everything would go back to normal. However with a successul restore and a reboot, I was amazed to see I still have no network connectivity. The baseband version is "9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110068-44" . Another noticeable thing was that after the restore and first boot, I still got the "prototype device" message again, which was not there when I first booted the device with original stock 4.2.2 ROM before this flashing adventure began.
Any ideas what may have gone bad.
Thanks.
=======================================
Just got to know that my device is a BROWN device, its IMEI number starts from 0044 so it is a prototype. Any ideas is it really good or bad to have one. Also I see that after another restore of the original stock 4.2.2 ROM it is barely getting the signals indoor (1 bar only). The signal reception is very weak and sporadic . Should i keep the device or not and is there any remedy or network signal strength.
Thanks.

Firstly I love the detail you have provided which would save you and me a lot of time to pinpoint the exact problem and work it accordingly.
Firstly, I would suggest that if you have a box or any other receipt that shows your exact device name with its basebands. Where did you buy it from and what is your exact location so we can guess your region. This is the time to show it now. Also which basebands work in your location can also help us out.
The problem you have made it flashed basebands of a different variant which has resulted in loss of network. So to fix it we need, and there are three ways about it.
First, download Sony PC companion and try to repair your phone and see if that helps.
Secondly, download flashtool and ftf for your device (make sure you select the right variant this time. Choosing for wrong device can hard brick your phone. so beware) and flash your phone with it.
If all this fails, you go to Sony flashtool called Emma. Download it and try to flash it with that.
You can google how to use every tool on xda and I am sure you would find a lot of guides for that.

no sir.. no physical damage at all..
do you think flashing it can fix the problem?
thanks sir
@lonesome10
I tampered once with the radios and selected USA bands, and had no signal but clean reflashing a rom brought it back to life.
You said though, you already tried repairing it through PC Companion so I don't know if you can solve the problem.
If you have flashtool, try flashing an ftf from here and see if that helps, otherwise I can't think of anything else.
@yngwie_m
thanks for your reply.. I have no idea regarding flashing of my xperia.
can you send me a tutorial on how flash xperia z1. I want a stock firmware flash.
again many thanks..

I am now on my Xperia. When I get back home to my laptop I will try to gather links and make a fast tutorial. Or if anyone else can do it that would be nice too.
Will be right back.
No need for thanks. I 've been to where you are now it was annoying.
@yngwie_m
I already flash it using a ftf from xperifirm. no changes, still no signal from my network.

In that case I am out of ideas too, and close to thinking it is a hardware issue.
Because in my case flashing a clean ftf brought it back.

i want to downgrade my phone of software.. is that possible? sorry i am new on flashing an android phone..
@lonesome10
Yes it is possible. You wrote you managed to flash an ftf from xperifirm, which means you downloaded the files, and used to flashtool to create an ftf. Correct?
Now go to xperia z1 general section and in there, there is a thread containing stock ftfs.
Download one (preferably a kitkat 14.4.a.0.108), and flat it through flashtool again. Do not check anything in flashtool, that means wipe everything and do a clean flash.
See how that goes.
@yngwie_m,
Yes I manage to flash it by downloading a firmware from xperifirm then create a FTF using flashtool and I flash my phone.
If I download a firmware (preferably a kitkat 14.4.a.0.108), do I have to use flashtool to create a FTF file then flash my phone? or I don't have to create a FTF file and directly flash my phone with the firmware I downloaded using flashtool. I am from the Philippines, is there a firmware that is made for PH user? What is generic/unbranded or branded FW? what is rom and kernel?
Sorry again for the inconvenience, I don't have experience with flashing using different firmware.. again thank you for your effort to solve my phone problem. I appreciate it so much!!!
@lonesome10
On the 3rd page of Xperia Z1 General subforum, there is a thread called "[FTF] C6902 & C6903 & C6906 & C6943 FTF Mega Collection".
On the first post it has all stock uprooted ftfs.
So find which variant you have (C6902, C6903, C6906, etc) and download the corresponding ftf. Any Generic or Global ftf will do.
You will be downloading an .ftf file so no need to create it. Just flash it through flashtool.
Don't worry about roms and kernels. You have to make the phone work again for starters.
Branded is an ftf that contains stuff from a brand, like Vodafone or o2 or whatever.
Unbranded is a clean ftf as given from Sony to carriers.
So to sum up, for starters go to that thread and get an ftf to flash through flashtool.
To check your variant, see the phone package or in dialer press *#*#7378423#*#* and in Service Menu go to Service info -> Model info to see which one you have and download appropriate ftf.

Need a solution from experts..

Have you tried cleaning the sim card?
Do you have a different sim card from another phone you can try?
There is also a hardware reset button next to the sim, have you tried that?
I looks like there is some sort of corruption in a system volume, looking at the error states listed.
What was the results from using PC companion to fix? any error messages?
Did you restore your TA partition? That would have been damaged in the flash to 6 concept.
Have you tried finding the right firmware for your country/provider via Xperiafirm, download it, make a tft from the file, then you know you have the correct baseband flashed.
Don't know what else to try, sorry.
Hello, thanks for the answer..
My z3c lost network, after installing "D5803_2157_Concept_6.ftf" via flashtool
I have tried cleaning the sim card.
I have tried different sim cards.
I have tried hardware reset button next to the sim.
After PC Companion, there was no error message.
I have tried all different ftf files for my country. (4.4 - 5.1 - 6.0 etc..)
No solution
it always says "invalid card. emergeny calls only"
Put a stock rom back on and send it back to Sony for repair
