Need a solution from experts.. - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have Z3 compact (D5803).
i have used it for a long time.
After installing "D5803_2157_Concept_6.ftf" via flashtool, my z3c lost network.
i have tried tons of methods:
i have flashed "D5803_4.4.4_23.0.A.2.93_TR.ftf", and rooted.
i have flashed "D5803_23.4.A.1.264_1289-4791_R2C.ftf" and rooted.
i have repaired the firmware via Sony PC Companion 2.1
i have repaired the firmware via Xperia Companion
i have tried installing twrp, when i try to install any custom rom, i get an error like this: "this rom is for d5803, d5833 etc etc... but you phone is differen"
i have tried this: http://firmwaremobiletools.blogspot.com.tr/2015/11/how-to-remove-pattern-lock-from-all.html
i have tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/guide-unlock-z3c-international-bands-t3091344
So i can flash any ftf without any problem.
But i can not install anything via twrp. (although i can install twrp)
i can root roms without any problem.
But phone can not connect to network..
it always says "invalid card. emergeny calls only"
- there is no IMEI problem..
Anyne have any solution for my problem?
Thanks...
- i have attached screenshots of *#*#service#*#* and *#*#info#*#*

Any help?

Have you tried cleaning the sim card?
Do you have a different sim card from another phone you can try?
There is also a hardware reset button next to the sim, have you tried that?
I looks like there is some sort of corruption in a system volume, looking at the error states listed.
What was the results from using PC companion to fix? any error messages?
Did you restore your TA partition? That would have been damaged in the flash to 6 concept.
Have you tried finding the right firmware for your country/provider via Xperiafirm, download it, make a tft from the file, then you know you have the correct baseband flashed.
Don't know what else to try, sorry.

Hello, thanks for the answer..
My z3c lost network, after installing "D5803_2157_Concept_6.ftf" via flashtool
I have tried cleaning the sim card.
I have tried different sim cards.
I have tried hardware reset button next to the sim.
After PC Companion, there was no error message.
I have tried all different ftf files for my country. (4.4 - 5.1 - 6.0 etc..)
No solution

it always says "invalid card. emergeny calls only"

Put a stock rom back on and send it back to Sony for repair

[Q] The phone is useless, HELP

I updated my to 4.4.4 via Sony PC Companion and then rooted it with easyrootool and installed the dualrecovery. Everything seemed fine but after the first reboot i noticed that the there is no cellular connectivity. Wifi and Bluetooth work and the sim is recognized but the the phone says'inavlid card'. The phone sim unlocked. Not only that but my phone doesn't want to take pictures anymore. The camera doesn't focus and when I press the camera button it does nothing. Also when I connect the phone to the computer and try to copy somthing the windows explorer doesn't respond either way. I tried to repair the software via Pc Companion but it gave me the same result. To be clear the bootloader is locked and there was no sim lock but when i enter the service info i get this. Please anyone that can help ?
You tried with different SIM card?
Or just try to reinsert SIM card.
Try to go to recovery and wipe cache (both cache)
If that doesn't help, flash ftf again and test everything before you root device.

If it's still not working - I would flash last good ftf (be sure that one worked before)
Test everything...
If everything is working, flash 4.4.4 ftf but exclude baseband files....
Then check is it O.K...
And yeah...full wipe is something you should do now...
You have to get rid of old files...

Who knows...
Something in flashing process screwed firmware...
I'm sure everything will be OK after new flashing...
Signal could be problem again, that's why I suggested - flash ftf without baseband files. -
So...
Flash older ftf (the one that was working before)
Test to be sure everything is working fine.
Flash new fw without baseband files.
Test it...
I'm using Generic DE or my country fw.
That's something you should do, Singapore, China or similar fw could be problem in EU or US...

Sure....
If you have your carrier / country ftf, flash that first to test and to have right baseband/modem/radio files..

I can't that specific one for my carier. It's Austrian A1
Try to downgrade to older rom, if then everything works fine then you may try upgrading again.
Sent from Xperia Z1, or maybe not anymore
So i tried to flash the FTF file with flashtool but i get an error
ERROR - Processing of system.sin finished with errors.
INFO - Ending flash session
I don't know what that means but the process is still running. Should I disconnect the phone or leave it?
EDIT: I tried it again with a different cable and it worked..now I have to see if it worked
@funky0308
I'm on firmware .757 now and the camera is working again and I can copy things from an to the phone but the problem with the signal is still there. It says that the simcard is invalid, but like i said the phone was sim unlocked
Try the simcard in another phone or try another sim card in your phone so that you can eliminate the chance of having a defective simcard

[Q] Lost network & relocked BL?

Hello,
I've a weird problem with my Xperia SP. Today i wanted to get back to rom based on stock rom to get miracast feature.
I downloaded newest existenz rom and williams kernel for stock based roms. Installation went fine system booted ok and everything worked fine. After some time phone turned off and didn't wanted to start. Only flashmode worked. I've decided to download stock .205 CE1 rom and flash it.
It booted up, sim card was recognized(had to write PIN). After that network was not found. Signal with red "X". I've tried to manually register to network but i could not.
Next thing is that after flashing stock rom fastboot mode stopped working. Service menu shows that Bootloader can not be unlocked even that it was unlocked before and flashtool(BLU option) shows that it is still unlocked. Flashtool also shows Bootloader: NOT_ROOTABLE.
I have actually no idea what have happend. Now i'm installing stock rom using Sony PC Companion but i think this wont help for network problem.
My main network is PLUS GSM(Poland network).
Could sim card die? It is old type card (almost 10 years) and i had to cut it manually to fit micro sim for the phone.

Use flashtool to flash stock firmware by ftf file. Here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311964
Use an older one and if that does not work, try one or two more. Hopefully, that will help. Best of luck!

Does it matter which country is it for? I can try some of them but i think that won't help. I've checked other sim card and it was recognized but didn't even ask me for pin. Weird Oo.
If nothing helps i will just flash stock firmware with SEUS and let sony service take care of it, hopefully. Phone still has guarantee.

Regions perhaps. But the thing that does not make sense it that that why did it work before and not now? It should work. Anyway, my SIM was mini too. I, too, had to cut it. It works. Or possibly contact your service provider maybe something is wrong with the SIM. They might have have locked it or something?

If none sim card works on phone then it is IMEI problem or phone itself somehow. I'm trying to flash other roms now. Hopefully it will help if not then sending to service.

I've reflashed stock rom using SEUS and sended phone to sony service. Hopefully they can help. Be careful with Williams Kernel for stock roms. This may be a common bug.
For anyone who had the same problem. Sony exchanged my whole phone with information that mainboard was broken. They said that phone could not be fixed.
Good luck
PS. Topic can be closed i think.

HELP: Upgraded from stock 4.2.2 to 4.4 and lost network connectivity

Hello All,
Tried searching for a case peculiar as mine, wasnt able to find one so here is the lowdown.
1. Xperia C6603 , originally had 4.2.2 stock ROM which was working fine with my local network. Dont remember the baseband version.
2. Used XperiFirm to download the latest firmware as reported in the list. Dont know what does the suffix RxD (R1D--R8D) means. Anyone please explain. As per the below screenshot downloaded version "C6603_Customized HK_1270-5695_10.5.1.A.0.292_R1D" .
3. Before flashing the downloaded firmware I flashed the dualrecovery from XZDualRecovery. I made a TWRP backup of the 4.2.2 stock ROM on an external SD card, for all partitions including TA,system, boot etc.
4. Used Flashtool to convert the downloaded (step 2) firmware "FILES" format to a flashable FTF file. Flashed the firmware , which went on smoothly.
5. At the first startup I got the following screen , telling me that it is a prototype device/firmware . I went on to see that the network which was working fine with stock ROM 4.2.2 was no longer available.
I tried to go to settings to check and search for networks, which shows available networks, but unable to get itself registered to the SIM providers network. Tried all the settings combinations in menu "*#*#4636*#*#" , nothing makes it work to get the GSM network connectivity back. It is supposedly on the correct setting of LTE/WCDMA/GSM which my current operator supports. Following is the "About" screen for current baseband version.
Tried going in the "Service" menu via "*#*#7378423#*#*" , with the following info, having an unknown modem configuration.
6. Tried reverting back to the old TWRP backup, for which I needed the TWRP recovery loaded on the phone. So ran the XZDualRecovery script again (with the new 4.4 ROM on the phone), however the script hangs around in the end and never reboots the phone with the TWRP recovery. So i am unable to revert and use the stock ROM backups .
7. I dont want to root/unlock the bootloader, however I tried installing TWRP via its "XZrecovery.apk", but it requires busybox (which requires a rooted phone). So i tried the rooting script from [GUIDE] How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292 [Locked Bootloader], but it also hangs around in the end and never delivers a rooted phone.
8. Tried looking around for assortment of xperia Z baseband files to check and see if flashing it separately can make it work, however to no avail the the condition persists.
Either ways having a prototype version on the phone which transmits all data back to sony is not desirable at all. So need to replace it for sure. Currently I am stuck in the middle without a clue of how to go back and restore the 4.2.2 TWRP backup, or to actually flash a "non-prototype" or retail version of 4.4.x .
Any help/guidance/suggestions to remedy would be appreciated.
Thanks.
=====================UPDATE
Ok followed the instructions at [GUIDE] How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292 [Locked Bootloader] , read carefully again to flash the .230 kernel. Flashed the XZDualRecovery and got the TWRP recovery back.
Restored the old 4.2.2 TWRP backup , hoping that everything would go back to normal. However with a successul restore and a reboot, I was amazed to see I still have no network connectivity. The baseband version is "9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110068-44" . Another noticeable thing was that after the restore and first boot, I still got the "prototype device" message again, which was not there when I first booted the device with original stock 4.2.2 ROM before this flashing adventure began.
Any ideas what may have gone bad.
Thanks.
=======================================
Just got to know that my device is a BROWN device, its IMEI number starts from 0044 so it is a prototype. Any ideas is it really good or bad to have one. Also I see that after another restore of the original stock 4.2.2 ROM it is barely getting the signals indoor (1 bar only). The signal reception is very weak and sporadic . Should i keep the device or not and is there any remedy or network signal strength.
Thanks.

Firstly I love the detail you have provided which would save you and me a lot of time to pinpoint the exact problem and work it accordingly.
Firstly, I would suggest that if you have a box or any other receipt that shows your exact device name with its basebands. Where did you buy it from and what is your exact location so we can guess your region. This is the time to show it now. Also which basebands work in your location can also help us out.
The problem you have made it flashed basebands of a different variant which has resulted in loss of network. So to fix it we need, and there are three ways about it.
First, download Sony PC companion and try to repair your phone and see if that helps.
Secondly, download flashtool and ftf for your device (make sure you select the right variant this time. Choosing for wrong device can hard brick your phone. so beware) and flash your phone with it.
If all this fails, you go to Sony flashtool called Emma. Download it and try to flash it with that.
You can google how to use every tool on xda and I am sure you would find a lot of guides for that.
Quote me back in case you expect an answer

If your phone is 6906 than you should only use 6906 firmwares to update your phone.
Hasn't their been a update notification on your phone?

I don't know. I think it has something to do with the baseband maybe.
I never had the situation that I flashed a wrong firmware to my phone.
Are you sure you downloaded the firmware you needed?
Have you tried the repair function from pc Companion?
