Hi all,
I have an original pebble that has a non functioning back button. Unfortunately it is an earlier version without a screwed on back meaning there is no way to open it up and fix any loose connections without completely destroying the watch.
I was wondering if it would be possible to create a custom firmware with the back button remapped to something like long press up. If not then it'll be a sad end for my faithful watch.
Cheers
Andrew
contact pebble support and ask how do you get it fixed you may get lucky you and get the option of RMA or a way to get it fixed cheaply

on ebay they do ones that just cover the screen and not buttons thats what i use
Try this,
settings > language & keyboard > htc sense input > advanced > calibration tool
see if that will make the response better.
I had this trouble but the new update fixed the response for me

I am on ATT and i have checked ATT software hosts and HTCs update but it data my software is current. Amy suggestions to update?

The home and back button are not good.

I'm on the sprint version (not updated yet) and I was having the same issues with response - I'm using a screen protector. It could be just placebo, but when I use power saver or if I turn the vibration on the buttons off, they seem to always work. I've been testing it for the last fifteen minutes without a mispress.
Maybe the rest of you could try it and see as well?

That's the most current available on AT&T. To get the actual most current you'd have to root and install custom ROM on 1.29....13

I just put on my otterbox screen protector and now I am having troubles with the capacitive buttons. No issues prior to the screen going on.
I'll have to try out the SPGs, I haven't had a problem with them back with my last cell.
I have a Rogers SIM card. What version is Roges on? If it is higher, will the Rogers SIM card update my software?
I think skin oils are causing a drop in capacitive button response. Wipe the button area clean with a sleeve and it should start working again.

To me it happens mostly with the back button. Drives me crazy in tapatalk. I'm not buying the screen protector as the issue. I had the issue before and after putting one on.

As soon as I disabled vibration, the back button started working ALL THE TIME for me.

I've used it like this for quite a bit longer...and while it's a great temporary solution it's not fool proof.
In my experience the buttons need to be "reset" every once in a while...power switch, long press, vibration switched.
But I do think taking off the vibration helps the buttons to not mess up as often. I recommend people to try it for sure.

Updates are in the settings under "system updates"
Currently the updates for the htc one have pushed to the euros, in the state's we're waiting for the carriers to release it.
Your other alternative would be to root your phone and flash a rom with the update fixes.
Is anyone experiencing this? A significant number of people over on the Android Central forum are experiencing their voices cutting out pretty frequently, especially when there's background noise. To clarify, the people on the other end of the line are saying that the person with Moto X's voice is intermittently dropping out.
Some are speculating that it's a problem with the noise cancelling software.

Yep, same problem here... It's all over the Motorola forums too, but they're talking about the Verizon edition. I told them that it happened on Rogers phones too.

That would suck. Mine's on the way but this would be a deal breaker for me if it's not fixed very soon.

Well, I think it'll be fixed by software at some point, apparently the bug isn't being exhibited when using voip apps (Skype, csipsimple, etc)...
Not having any of those problems
Motorola is aware of the problem and working on a fix:

Confirmed. Def an issue for my. The pizza place hung up on me cause they couldn't understand me. 4 bars too
Allow me to be thanked. For cdma versions (VZ and rogers) go to phone then settings and disable voice privacy. First it's BS anyway since cdma to cell is digitized anyway with basic encryption. Second the 48key encryption method I think called is95 umm sucks! It's uses bandwidth on a network that has none and causes breakup and delay. It's an immediate night and day difference.

Thank you for that tip. I was so frustrated with my phone cutting out on the other end I was ready to throw this one in the trash. I exchanged my phone once already because of the call quality and I was on the verge of making the switch to another phone altogether.
Since turning off privacy I no longer have the issue. Thank you!

It doesn't matter because this doesn't fix anything. I'm on Verizon and every phone call I have people complain. I can tell they can't hear me, because I'm asking questions and they just sit there silent. Its really annoying. Especially since I shelled out $705 for a Developer Edition and I can't even use it for its main function.
I really hope Verizon pushes out this update soon.
Mine still does it...
Hey everyone, I know it's been a year since this thread has abruptly stopped (to which I credit an OTA update that fixed the voice cutting in and out issue)...but...I just bought a moto x and my phone is doing it. I have the latest OTA software, stock everything, and I pretty much have to yell for my voice to get above the noise cancellation level to be heard on the other end of the phone call. Interestingly enough, if I speak directly into the mic on the backside of the phone, I come through loud and clear.
I've tried the "voice privacy" setting to no avail. I've tested all (three!) of the mics with the phone's built-in "CQATest" app and can confirm that all three are working. I've spoken with motorola support, cleared my cache, did a full factory reset, and still no dice. Can anyone help?? I hate to send this thing back because I'm almost certain that it's a software issue and not a hardware issue.
Thanks in advance, this is frustrating!! If I don't get replies then I'll start a new thread, seeing as this one is old.
[edit] update: I got a replacement phone and everything works fine. Turns out it was the hardware. I have a suspicion that the used phone I bought had its screen replaced, and it messed up the noise-cancelling features of the mics.
Well i never rooted but i want more. I want to customize the vol up/ vol down buttons on the back so a long press will work to control tracks. Also I want better themes and the ability to tether via bluetooth. I bought the Sprint LG flex on release day... Got pissed and threw and kicked the phone in a fit of rage. Well insurance claim later. I have my new Flex.
I turned it on and put it in airplane mode. It shipped with JB . My question is this. I have 10 days to return my old phone to assurion . Surprisingly beside the screen being cracked to hell n back. The KK flex still works. Can I try my first root on the one slated for return? Can I root it and return it back to stock? I dont want assurion denying my claim? What to do?
Ill post up some pics when i get time.

First I would go and see a psychiatrist j/k. As long as the phone can boot properly then rooting/unrooting won't be a problem. Use this to root if you're on KK http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232&postcount=869If you paid the deductible then they(Asurion) really shouldn't care either way though. You can probably use the SU app to to unroot itself(easiest method). The safest way would be to return to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644083

Return it to stock and take it back to Verizon for replacement if it's still under warranty, otherwise you're going to need to pay LG or someone else to replace the display. Wasn't necessarily Xposed that caused it, there's been a number of things that cause it to happen. Bottom line is the pixels are now dead on the LCD panel, that's why it doesn't show on your screen shot.
Plenty of threads on the issue if you want to know more.

Good morning XDA community! I recently bought myself the Moto X 2014, saved up and went for it! I have had the phone for about a month and after three weeks I noticed the bezel at the edge of the screen coming loose a bit. The phone has not been dropped!! I have been nothing but careful with it. I have attached some images of the issue four weeks on and as you can see it is progressively getting worse!!! Is anyone else having this issue? And is there a way to fix the issue? I have contacted Motorola but seem to not get any response from them :/

Motorola doesn't have the best quality control in the world in my experience, my device's back panel is slightly loose in between the lens and dimple, and the speaker grille isn't secure, but this is a bigger problem, so I would advise you get it replaced or fixed ASAP.
