I'm on NPC91K and tried rooting following Heisenberg's Guide.
Unlocked my bootloader
Flashed the boot.img
Flashed twrp-3.0.2-0-angler.img
But when I boot into recovery, it just gets stuck at the logo?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Well, "angler" is not the nexus 6.... Nexus 6 is "shamu"

@lukeyy33
I see no additional details added in either of your posts.
If you don't read the advice that members post for you, then you'll never make a success of maintaining your phone, and there's no point in posting the question.
Did you see this? "Well, "angler" is not the nexus 6.... Nexus 6 is "shamu""
So did you install the wrong recovery, or are you posting in the wrong forum?
Sorry for the ambiguity, wrong forum!

There are step by step newbie guides posted already, why should forum members "have to" keep repeating themselves constantly? It encourages noobs to read less and create even more pointless annoying repetitive threads.

Have you considered if there were less noobs creating pointless threads that your research could have been accomplished faster? You have also successfully ignored the noob OP's question in this case choosing instead to criticize the content of a post that actually answered the question.
Good luck on your quest to spoonfeed every noob that comes along.

Flash via recovery, as I know. If you see META-INF in the zip, it's a flashable zip.

You could use Titanium Backup and use the FREEZE Application option. It will prevent frozen apps from running but if you have stability issues, then you can simply unfreeze them. This would be a safer way to do it if you don't know what you are doing.
I know I'm stupid, please don't judge.....
So I have managed to delete my entire OS.
I was able to ASB Sideload an Android Revolution ROM, it goes through the install process but then it just gets stuck on the HTC One beats logo screen on reboot.
Then I messed about some more and ended up having to phone just keep rebooting into TWRP recovery.
Please somebody help me!!!!
What version twrp. 2.6.3.3 works best. After you flash recovery then fastboot erase cache and you should be able to boot into recovery

yes you can, but I doubt it's a radio problem, more likely you need to manually enter/add the correct APN settings for your carrier

I have added the APN but still only EDGE.
I flashed Android Revolution 6.1 Google edition but that was stuck in a boot loop so went back to Android Revolution 71, I do not like this ROM.
Any more suggestions on the lack of HSPA connection?

Hi guys
first , sorry for my bad english
guys , according to this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/disable-dm-verity-force-encryption-op3t-t3688748
i do everything right step by step , and now my phone oneplus 3t is already decrypted ! BUT still cant write anything to system data
like use Dual Boot Patcher or Nexmon
so now what i must to do ?
thanks.
Flash stock recovery, decrypt phone. Flash custom recovery and flash custom rom. Should work.
So I just updated new secerity patch 9.0.6 thru twrp. Everything is working fine but I'm worried when I go to flash another rom it will encrypt my phone. When I go to setting and security it's says encryted

You don't actually have the problem that this thread is about, right?
If you have a general question post it in the q&a thread - that's what it's there for.

Sorry dude, just don't have the time to maintain a thread with updates and guides etc... Only been more active recently because I've got time off work and a new phone!
Has root for the NE2217 been achieved yet? I've been searching thru the threads & cannot find mention of someone achieving root specifically for the NE2217 model. It is the US T-Mobile version. Any help is greatly appreciated
Still waiting on one plus to update the page to unlock the bootloader. Hopefully we get a modified Msn tool soon.

yup just realise that
You don't really need to wait for the firmware, you just need to extract the boot image then boot it...
I'll find the commands required to do this.

I can't find it?? Wth!
I'll keep looking, really annoying me, haven't had to do it myself but remember seeing the process
Until the commands are found to extract a boot image from a live device are found.
Why don't you attempt to boot a boot image from a comparable model?
Do not flash it unless it actually works as you do not have a route back to stock, but by booting it's risk free just obtain a patched image ( I have some in my root guide in the guides section )
Pop your phone in fastboot then just run fastboot boot name of boot image, the phone will boot. If it fails to boot just hold the power and volume buttons and allow it to restart, you original boot image will be intact and nothing will have changed.
If it does indeed work then you could use Magisk to make it permanent by opening Magisk and clicking install / direct install as you'll be rooted at this point.
As you're on T-Mobile you need to verify that your calling and text ability works as well as your internet access .
Have seen a tonne of issues with T-Mobile and custom ROMs / rooting, so yep be weary of processes, make sure you test everything first before committing to changes like this.
Side note: have you actually unlocked the bootloader? Not sure if the process is the same for you guys or not but thought I'd ask. Obviously won't be able to boot anything with a locked bootloader
