After upgrading to Marshmallow with Titanium backup I'm trying to restore my appa but I had me constantly full memory and do not know how to solve. It seems that marshmallow has partly filled memory

My Wizard's running low on internal storage, how would I go about getting rid of the extended rom and expanding the internal storage to fill the space it leaves? Would I be able to do a backup using SPB backup, then flash a ROM (not sure which one I'd need), then restore the backup?
I don't think it's currently possible to remove the Extended ROM without somehow rewriting the partition tables but that's beyond most people, including me! However if it was possbile then it would msot likely be possible to do a straight forward backup and restore so long as it was the same OS image.
Can anyone tell me where the firmware update is cached when updating to Lollipop over OTA.
Because after the update from Kitkat to lollipop I have about 1 GB lower internal memory than before. I think this is the installation file or so.
So where does my phone save this in internal memory, when it comes over OTA, so that I can delete this?
With Kitkat I had 2 GB internal memory left. After the update to Lollipop there are only 850 MB or so left.
Maybe someone can help me.
Greetings Lemmi.
Hi Lemmi1,
Afaik the downloaded OTA files already being flashed to System and then deleted automatically, maybe something else is using your internal memory.
I always suggest to make a factory reset after doing these kinds of major FW updates, also to prevent any type of battery draining.
i just got a note 3 and i flashed the firekat rom to it and i restored alot of the apps i had on my note 2 to it via TB. once i was done i got the almost full memory message after that i moved as many apps to sd card as possible which helped with clearing data to those apps as well. with my note 2 it seemed like i had much more space for apps or that my apps was saving to the sd card automatically as i never got that warning with the note 2 and i only transfered half of those apps to the new device. is there any suggestions to how to get more space?
I also was curious of it it was possible with safestrap to readjust the space allocated for apps in the custom rom slot...
this is my idea
do a nandroid (which i have never done nor really knows how it works) to back up the rom
then clear that clear that custom slot so that I can make those adjustments to the memory from 2gb to 4gb
then restore the nandroid backup and then boom everything is back to normal except i have more space for my apps .
is that how that works or will after i restore i have ot go back and reload all the apps and setup settings and such ?
Hello
After flashed some roms and other root practices I lost at least 12 gb from my internal storage. I realy have not idea how can i recover it. Of course i wiped all date and make everything what newbie rootmeister should do. So...
have you any isues?
P.S.
In system it is showing me 2gb (full memory size)
and in Hisuite on desktop is 16gb but 13/14 is filled.
Sorry for my english. I know it isnt perfect.
Factory reset with stock recovery should fix it
hello,
I have a p8 lite 2017. After few months of usage, the memory is already full.
Of course I have selected the sd as default storage, and I clean the internal memory (cache etc.) daily. I have installed only the strictly needed apps, but I have reached a point where I cannot even update apps because of this.
What can I do? does installing a custom rom allow me to move the apps to the external storage?
There is a solution for the old p8 lite (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/help/how-to-extend-storage-using-sd-card-t3614396). Does it wor for the 2017 version too?
thanks

Read the thread you sent a bit more carefully.
"Used with P8 Lite 2017".
And that should work but backup everything.
