Hi,
I've bought my Samsung Galaxy camera about three years ago, and it has worked fine until a few weeks ago. I mean, I've had some problems with losing photo's on the device, which were easily fixed after googled around a bit, but I've experienced nothing like this before, because about two weeks ago it just completely refused to boot.
I've tried leaving it on two different chargers, each for one day long. I've tried taking it apart and vacuum-ing everything, but everything without any results. Whatever buttons I press or hold pressed for several seconds, the screen just remains black.. And since my warranty has already expired I can't return it too.
Does anyone have any idea about what I can do in order repair it? Every suggestion is welcome and appreciated, since I'm close to giving up..
Thanks in advance.. ?
How to?

Hello to all you fine folks at xda.
I am not entirely new to your site but decided to register so I could post this thread since I am in need of your help.
I have already read hundred of threads on bricked/frozen/sod/... touch diamonds, but my situation seems to be unique.
So I have had my diamond for about 2 years now but haven't been using it for the last 6 months because of a sudden brick.
First of all you should probably know that I never tried to tamper with any soft or hardware of this phone so it may be considered a clean phone .. no romming no tweaking no installing of doubtable software etc..
When it bricked my diamond was in normal use (can't remember exactly what I was doing at the time but I think I was just texting to som1..). It suddenly went to black screen .. turned itself off.
I tried power button.. nothing
I tried red reset button at the back.. nothing
I tried power+vol down+center.. nothing
I tried charging.. nothing (not even circular light around the middle button).
I tried hooking it up to my pc.. nothing(no charging signs, not even a pop up on my pc that i connected a usb device)
I tried leaving the battery out for a while and re-inserting.. nothing
I tried a full charge overnight.. nothing
I tried slamming it into my head.. headache and nothing else..
So because all of the other threads about bricked diamonds seem to be about tampered with diamonds, I am wondering if there is a standard solution or other way that I can get my brick running smoothly again?
Hope I find tons of your answers and tips below!
Best regards and thanks in advance, Sam.
Bricked diamond
Two years is a long time for the battery life to be over. have you tried changing it?
No I haven't do they die that easily nowadays ? my other phones non pda all did much longer with their batteries..? What does a new battery cost me? thanks...
Why don't you go to a repair center or send it in for repair? You obviously didn't do anything that caused the malfunction, so why don't you give it a go.
In Europe you have a standard 24 months warranty on the device; hopefully you're in time.
Good luck
Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone.
The touch screen has a problem whereby it seems to be like you are pressing the screen (but not actually touching the screen at all) and the "Applications" touch area of the screen activates randomly.
Like "phantom" finger touches.
It seems to be a problem around the lower right hand side of the touch screen.
Does anyone know what might be causing it and how to fix it?
I have the same problem.
but i have to say it begun when i installed ICS on my phone (i9000)
and after i took back the 2.3.6 and the problem is still here.....
i cant go to the service 'cause im abroad until june....

anyway i have the problem on the lower left side of the screen....
Hi,
My problem is not related to a software upgrade because i have not upgraded the thing in many months. This problem is only a few weeks old. I guess it might be due to an app update, but i don't see how.
i have some bad news pal....
i brought my phone to the service and they said that i have to replace the touchscreen...
I went to the samsung support web site, got the address of a local Samsung service center, and went in. They said the phone has a 2 year guarantee, so they replaced the touch screen for free. It was a Samsung Galaxy S I9000.
Dropped it into the shop in the morning, had a working phone back that same afternoon. I did not have any purchase receipt, so they just used the serial number of the unit to check if it was still in guarantee or not.
Had the same problem when my phone got a bit wet, turned if off and removed battery, waited some hours to let it dry in a warm place, then I just set everything back together and problem was gone.
Hope this helps.
My HTC ONE (M7, not rooted, no mod bootloader or anything else) suddenly died the other day. Had it in a charger/holder in the car, was reading messages, as the phone froze, nothing to do. Tried normal restart, nothing happened, then tried to hold power button for some ten seconds, the screen turned off, and the charging light stayed lit red. Next I tried to hard-reset with power and vol. down buttons, after that the phone bricked. No lights, no response at all, just plain dead.
I updated to Android 4.3 a few weeks ago, without any glitches, worked fine until...
I returned the phone to my dealer and after a day, I got a message that the phone has to be shipped to HTC for further repair attempts.
I had the same thing with my old HTC One V, just died. searched the net and found several others with the same problem, seemed to be common fault. Got it repaired, worked fine since then. I also did a search for problems with the ONE, but found nothing.
Could it be the same with the ONE? Probably I'm one of the first with this problem, and we have to expect a lot more of this?
Others with the same problem?

I would check that your chargers (including your car charger) returns the correct current, with a Fluke or something similar. For all we know one of your chargers could be faulty and giving out too high voltage, messing with the lifetime of your battery/batteries.
I've never heard of his kind of incident though. But then again, these kind of things can always happen with electronics...
I wouldn't say it's uncommon. Read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45632154

I'm on my 4th One, and it's dying as of today. 4 phones in 3 months.
Two of them overheated and drained fast than could be charged, one died like you described, and the other had a screen that didn't display anything half of the time.
Yup same issue for me...
Was using my One.. Ended a call.. Screen went black and couldn't start it!!
When i put the charger in the charging symbol came up on screen but still could not boot the handset... Tried all the options of holding down the keys and even shining a light on the sensors while booting, nothing!
Called HTC.. They arranged to pick it up.. Went into repair.. It was returned 4 days later working once again. I have no idea what they did but it's working now. And now up for Sale!!! Shame as i loved the handset but I'm not that impressed

I've got my phone back january, 4. and got the following description:
Repaired at High Level repairshop
Replaced parts:
Speakers
Flex board
Camera
Micro sim tray
Cover part
LCD Display
Touch module
Main board
Battery
Software updated at extern shop
Basicly a new phone... But absolutely no explanation about what was wrong
Hi there,
I have a common issue. I ran out of battery and i left it charging but the % didn't rise. Tried all the charges in the house, for wall and computer. After 1 hour the red light stopped blinking and the One didn't want to do anything. Tried everything and when I gave up I ordered a new battery. Today I just replace it extremely carefully and when I tried to turn it one Bang, the same thing. Still does not one to power on. I come to think there is something to do with the main board or some little part that does not give a proper contact.
Does anyone of you know what I can do now or at least how to check if the problem come from something else?
Thank you very much!

Re: [Q] HTC One Suddenly Died! Common Issue?
So I got my Z3C about a month now. 6 weeks ago I thoughed my phone broke, suddenly it was dead. It looked like it was bricked, but I didn't do anything with it. There was no charging light, no fibrating on a hard reset, nothing. There was not even a connection with the adb.
So I send it to a repair point and they fixed it for me. I had no idea what that do, but I was happy with it.
Yesterday it happend again and I was pretty angry. A 3 month phone broke twice! I contacted the store, because I want a new one and not another repair, because i have no faith in another repair.
Now here comes the thing. Today I tried my phone again and suddenly it was working again.
You might think I should be happy, but I'm absolulty not, because now it is hard to prove there is something wrong with my device.
I suspect the repairpoint didn't fix anything, because it was working again at that point. So they just did a factoryreset
Has anyone experienced something like this or has any clue what the problem is?
Thanking in advance.

first of all you should make it clear If it s software problem (which level of software) or hardware
to get this u can Repair Xperia firmware by PCC to install fresh firmware
after that if problem remains u can be sure that problem is in hardware and ask for replace
in repair center they may just install new rom and return it so just ask for replacement
:good:
I k now this post is a little old but I have the same problem. After 6 weeks of flawless use my Z3C suddenly died. Nothing would bring it back to life. I spent several hours on the phone to sony support to no avail. We tried numerous manual and computer related fixes to no avail (including flashing a new stock rom which didn't work because no phone could be detected). Finally the tech gave up and said to return to return it to where I bought it. I was in the process of doing that when suddenly the phone worked again when I pressed the power button. battery charge was showing as 74%. Unfortunately I didn't do a factory reset while I had the chance.
This afternoon I didn't use the phone for 3 hours and now it's dead again. Nothing will wake it up again.
To me it sounds like a hardware fault, not software. This is a near new phone. This shouldn't be happening. I've searched the net and found numerous others having the same problem and in every case it has resulted in a replacement phone. Unfortunately my phone seller is a long way away. I guess that will teach me to buy local and pay and bit more.
Any suggestions please as I'm desperate.
I'm also in the same boat where my g/f Xperia Z3C just died and unfortunately the phone is out of warranty as it was a grey import and not local Aussie stock.
I have tried everything to get it working. When it does switch on it doesn't last more than a few hours before it goes back to a permanent coma.
I've wiped the rom and started from scratch when it was working with the Sony Xperia Repair centre but with little success.
I was left with little choice but to take it to a repair centre to find any faults with the hardware but I'm not feeling that confident they can fix the phone without replacing the whole board which isn't worth it.
Same thing.
Hello,
Today my phone shut downs itself and i realized it after 2-3 hours. Can't force reboot with volume up + power or the yellow button near the sim slot. Also no leds working to confirm if it takes electricity or not.My phones screen changed about a month ago due to having volume changes in 3.5 mm jack while listening music.Funny thing is i gave my phone for that same reason 8 months ago and they did not changed the screen and when i asked why you changed the screen, the lady said because 3.5mm jack is together with the screen(which i do not believe).I am hoping for device to wake up like jesus...
Edit: Does android have a log that reports every incident like windows does?If so how can i access it to see why my phone decided to die and ressurected by itself?I can't get this device to technical service cause it is fine now but i want to make sure it does not happen again.
Right after I take the watch off the charger, the top 1/8th of the screen flashes white for several minutes. After the watch has been on for a little while it goes away. Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else.

I haven't seen it on my watch, but there is a thread or two about this same issue in the G Watch R section. They have the same display, so you might take a look there.

same issue to me, occurs only when I take the watch off the charger. but my screen also flicker and flashes white randomly parts of screen for 25 minutes and remains flickering the top of screen for about 45 minutes more, until it goes away. (don't occurs every day..... maybe once to three times per week) is very frustrating!!!
I think is a firmware issue, (this issue start since 5.1.1 lollipop update)
if someone have or found the solution please share.
thanks
I'm also having similar problems. However, mine isn't happening after charging - it can happen any time.
The first time I noticed it, was right after landing on a flight from UK to US (it had been in theatre mode for the whole flight). Happened a few more times throughout my trip - so I made a recording of it.
I too have the same problem
Any update regarding this issue?
should i ask the seller for replacement or should i keep it?
is this a software or hardware problem.
I'm going to replace mine - but I need to wait for a lug removal tool so I can get my engineer II strap off it and put the original back on.
Bought via Amazon, so thankfully replacement will be straight forward.

Hey guys! Didn't saw this post, so I've made one in the other day... (http://forum.xda-developers.com/watch-urbane/help/white-flat-tire-glitch-update-forced-one-t3193006).
Anyway, it's the exact same problem... But it only happened to me three times... Always after taking it from charging... Besides that, it never appeared in any other situations...
Next week goes take it to warranty... Just to see What they say...
Oh and I've forced the last update by sideload (Android wear Version 1.3 (LCA44B)) ... Anyone like me?

Going to know that within a week or so...
But in my opinion... It's a hardware problem... The issue persists even after a reeboot...
So far it looks like the Wear Mini launcher was causing it for me. I deleted it and now it's fine
