Hello, I have problem with my diamond.
Few months ago my battery started to leak very fast, it was fully charged during night and lasted till evening. And I found another problem, the battery meter was always different after Soft Reset. For example it shows 100% charge after first SR it will show 86%, another SR 63% after next SR it could jump up for 75% and so on. I tried evrything- Hard Rreset, New ROMs WM6.1, WM6.5, Battery callibartion. Then i decided that all problems with battery it could be dead, I bought new battey but problems still the same, it alive till evening. During day I making 5-10 phone calls, around 20-30 sms, not using internet/GPS or any games and video at all.
Please need your help.
Thnx in advance.
?
same here... i had changed a lot of roms including setting up Android and battery meter weather jumps like crazy or does not change until soft reset
i have reverted back to Shaks.Pv4.30
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=462455
and it works fine... it also woks fine on official htc roms
i have no idea what is going on... any input would be nice
EDIT:
battery last longer if you turn off device fully and then recharge over usb port (connected to a computer)
Your problems is not from your PSU , but from the ROM installed in your headset. I had the exact same problem a few days ago when i tried to flash a new OS on my Diamond. At first i thought it was because i used my phone`s music player agressively. Then i kept my phone charging all night and the following morning i had noticed my batery was at about 75% of its capacity , wich wasn`t normal.
But my phone kept going and when reached critical values , it did not warn me about that. My guess is your ROM is faulty and does not indicate accurately your PSU amount of remaining energy at the time being.
After flashing with a better ROM the problem dissapeared.
Either this , or you have serious power leaks due to , again , a faulty ROM , wich chokes up your batery , even if you use it as you say you do.
Search the forum for a different ROM version , try to upgrade it , try flashing a new OS. You said you bought a new PSU , so it`s not from that. How old is your headset?
>>>"battery last longer if you turn off device fully and then recharge over usb port (connected to a computer)"
This statement is wrong , at least for my case it is. The PSU will power up faster if you use your charger pluged in a AC power source. It has always been this case in my opinion.
But seeing that all headsets are different from one another , i tend to think they have individual means of working.
Hi Folks,
I read the threads I could find on the issue but none of them helped. Here is my situation:
The phone was working all day without issues. I did not install any other applications. Left the phone on (and did not connect to power supply) all night. Next morning, the phone did not start. I thought the batter drained.
Connected it to a power supply all day but cannot get it started.
Tried the volume up + power on button several times without any signs (e.g vibration).
A red LED shows when the phone is connected to the PC or a power supply.
Tried flashtool but the phone does not get recognized. Any help would be great!
Don't worry this is normal, leave it to charge for a while and it should boot up fine. Happened to me more times than I can remember, scared the crap out of me haha
Connect the charger and keep charging until the red led change to yellow. The is normal behavior if you drain the battery to death.

Thanks for your replies. The phone is on charge for more than 12 hrs. How long will it take for the red LED change to yellow?
All Sony Xperia Z experts,
No changes on the situation.
Overall, I am quite surprised how little reaction this issue has caused with you guys. This is an unlocked BL, rooted phone with a deodexed 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware. So, rather standard. I use the stamina mode, causing almost no battery drain while idle. The phone never dropped battery below 30%. I am not using any apps to mod CPU or other fancy settings. This significant issue could happen to many Sony users.
I will contact Sony to see what they can do (not much I guess). In the meantime, if anyone else experienced this problem, please contact me.
Sony replaced my Xperia
Good news. Sony replaced the phone and included the charging station as well! Good service and a happy customer.
Hello guys i bought used xperia z from one guy he was claiming it has fulty battery and i bought it under price, phone couldnt run witohut charger, on charger was fine but after you disconnect charger phone shuts down, i changed battery first, on first look everything was fine 5 min later i noticed that battery is draining super fast i reconnect charger battery goes up for few percent imidetly is it possible that motherboard is faulty or it could be software problem, phone is running on 4.4.4 and google play version passed 5.0 so i guess this problem is not about service bug, any ideas? thanks
download an antivirus and check your phone for any viruses if that doesnt work then factory reset your phone if that doesnt work either then its a hardware problem
Hi everyone, a friend of mine bought an used Xperia Z and replaced the battery with a brand new one. Problem is that after a while of flawless usage, the battery drained to 0% and the phone refuses to charge or power on at all, this is the situation so far:
BATTERY PLUGGED:
- Cable on: can't go to flash mode or fastboot, the phone tries to power on and gets detected for a split second (screen off and red light ever so often)
- Cable off: fully dead
BATTERY UNPLUGGED:
- Cable on: can go to flash mode and fastboot mode (this way I flashed latest official ROM) but doesn't boot of course
- Cable off: of course nothing.
What I tried so far:
- Charging overnight, NO USE
- VOLUME+ and POWER ON for 8 secs, then charge for 1 hour, NO USE
- Hot plugging the battery with the cable off (bad idea), MANAGED TO BOOT ONE TIME but like an idiot i disconnected the cable to switch to wall charging
Does any of you have any idea? Of course the phone is out of warranty and I don't have another Xperia Z to charge the battery, neither I think another battery will help, since this works.
im having this same issue, ive even tried a replacement battery with no results.
ive asked around in the Sony forums and my posts either get ignored or deleted seems like this is probably my first and last sony phone.

i hav the same problem
For your information, my xperia died, he doesn't boot anymore, if I plug in the powercable he don't charge, he boot but falls out directly after, so he is stuch booting. downgraded it to kitkat but still does the same problem (If I connect with USB I can still flash a rom with sony flashtool)
I think the battery is dead, I'm going to try to change the battery, ordered it online but must wait 3 weeks to receive it.
If anyone has a solution or don't think it's the battery please tell me, I want to fix this problem.
