Splash image thread

Thought I would start a splash image thread here. I made a splash.img file for a start using this image.bmp

To install
Reboot into download mode.
open up FIH/image/ folder
Copy your original splash.img file to somewhere safe.
Copy in new splash.img
Reboot by taking out battery.
if it wasnt copied correctly it will vibrate. re copy or revert to old splash.img to fix.
I converted it from the bmp above using ffmpeg.

I don't use windows unless I can help it. I use Sabayon linux.

i have ubuntu on dual boot lol can give it a try over linux to.. post a link for instructions ,,, u know googling is much harder when u have a very good helper around

Do you have ffmpeg installed? if not install using
/code
sudo apt-get ffmpeg
code/
Use the command from first post from folder with your image file. The file name of this image will be changed in the command to after "-i" in your command.

Updated with New Post
Updated New Post with some screen that i came across while googling..

[SPLASH SCREENS] Ideos X6
I am not the creator of any of these...the credit goes to all the folks out there...You know who you are....
Putting together a few that I really like...(all ready in 480X800 resolution)
How to get the image ready:
1. Install Paint.Net from here : http://www.getpaint.net/
2. Download the rgb565 plugin attached and place it in:
C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\FileTypes
3. Open Image of your liking in Paint.Net and Save As xyz.rgb565. The size of teh image shoudl be around 750kb post save
4. Rename the Image file as splash.img
How to apply it to the device: (Already mentioned by Sergekarol previously, just summarizing )
1. Start the device in Fastboot/Download mode (Vol up + Power)
2. Once you see the fastboot screen, connect to USB on your computer
3. It will mount a drive named FIH or Mobile (in my case)
4. Go into Image folder (its the only one there)
5. Backup current Splash.img someplace safe
6. Replace with the Splash.img you created before
7. Reboot by pulling battery and you are done..
Note: In case the file new splash file doesn't copy over properly or you end up doing something wrong during conversion to rgb565. The device wont boot up and will continue-sly vibrate. No need to panic...just go back in download mode and replace the splash.img with the original backup and you should be fine.
Disclaimer: Important thing to note, you are playing with system files here...so do it at your own risk and understanding. I am not responsible if you end up killing your device.

Did You Do as per guide.. plz.. pm the prob. although you can restore the backup!! because bootanimation do not cause a brick!!

But, after boot animation, it can't going into the home screen, but still stuck in samsungm until 5 minutes..

I did what you said, but it doesn't work? I even set permissions and rebooted, but no sound? Your bootanimation works fine though. Any idea why the sound won't work? Is there a folder in the etc folder it has to go in?

i flashed STOCKBOOTENABLER-deathnotice01.zip still did not work, when i put in a custom boot animation i still have my stock boot animation, i mounted r/w in root explorer and changed permissions in system/media still nada! am i doing something wrong?

Hey Guys,After a long gap I am back with a bang.Presenting you first custom recovery recovery other than CWM,which is generated by MTK Droid tools.This recovery is called CTR[CARLIV TOUCH RECOVERY].This wouldn't be possible without @carliv sir.Press Thanks for him.So,Now without talking much let me tell you the

Yes bro,U can install it through mobile uncle tools.
Just download and put recovery in root of the sdcard.
Open mobile uncle tools.apk.
Select recovery update.
The recovery will be tgere on top,select it and install then reboot into recovery.
Dont know about adb activated will check though.

Lol Copyright you just need 2-3 secs to port this recovery as all thing is done via CRT Porting Tool

1] Switch Off Moto G 2015
2] Reboot into TWRP recovery
3] Flash my zip
4] Reboot
5] Done :good:
If you don't want to flash with the TWRP, you can do it via Bootloader too.
Flashing Instructions (Bootloader):-
1] Switch Off Moto G 2015
2] Reboot into Bootloader via pressing VOL-DOWN and POWER button simultaneously
3] Then Connect your Moto G 2015 to PC
4] Make sure you have essential Motorola drivers and adb files installed on your PC
5] Then in the the adb folder, extract the logo.bin file inside the zip
6] press SHIFT key and Right Click in empty space and click Open Command Window Here
7] then in Command Prompt, copy the following line
HTML:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
8] Then
HTML:
fastboot reboot
9] Done:good:
Enjoy the Official Bootlogo of Moto G 2015.
Flashable Zip is in the attachments.

You changed the stuff. You were offering logo.bin from Alberto's zip. Now you changed to a logo zip. Be honest. You also edited the first reply and put "zip" were was a ".bat" for bin flashing.

I created my own logo.bin file..
But if .bin file is not secure to you, I have flashable zip now..

This worked great for me and I for one appreciate it since using the fastboot method to flash to stock logo didn't work, (tried it 4 times with no joy). I really don't care if it is borrowed and modified, it did the job. If this was the only example of borrowing on XDA, then the whole site would be a fraction of the size. Haters gonna hate. Just sayin'.

Thanks to developers for the beautiful boot logos. All logos are good but I liked the Autumn Couple one but it is not working. After flashing it in twrp, only blank image with a tiny white box appears. Other logos are working fine. Am I missing something?

Did you use the moto bootlogo maker to make these logos? if yes pls tell me the settings u used cuz i tried but failed in extracting the logo.bin.

Did you choose the custom resolution? cuz I'm unable to save as a zip . It says file size too large. I've also tried decreasing the resolution of the image, but it still says file size too large. pls help.

use Moto G4 Plus from the combo box list. It will increase the logo size partition...
Just use "save as" option fromthe menu.. it will automatically create a flashable zip for you.

Cause it's bugging the crap out of me. 14 is SSGSS Vegeto, 15 is SSJ4 Goku, 16 is SSGSS Goku, 17 is Left: SSGSS Goku Right: SSGSS Vegeta Middle: SSGSS Vegeto, 18. Vegeto in a suit, 19. SSGSS Goku, 20. Ultra Instinct Chibi Goku.
SSGSS = Super SAIYAN God Super Saiyan.
AND 23 is ATTACK ON TITAN, The Colossal Titan. and likely Eren Yaeger.

You can't remove it as such, as it's a bootloader overlay. What you can do is mask it with white so that it can't be seen. If there's no way you can mask it, post it anyway, there are people who don't mind seeing the N/A.

I am going to create a bootlogo using the following image.
It's a screenshot of low quality for which I am not sure how the bootlogo will be.
I'll ask for help if I need.

I made the G6 bootlogo but i can't install the zip or ibstall using adb, can i give you the image so you can try to make it work?

I have created a dark version of Google Pixel White Bootlogo.
As it is a dark bootlogo the small yet distinctive white text N/A appears on the left hand side.
You have to put up with it.
