I can flash a custom Recovery to my unlocked HTC One(Tmo-us) but everytime I reboot to boot loader (The top says tampered and unlocked) it says "entering recovery..." at the top and then reboots. I have flashed both TWRM and Clockword Mod and cleared the cache both before and after. Nothing. Any ideas? Newest 1.54 setup...
the same problem with you

Are you sure you have the proper recovery.img? If you are flashing a sprint or Verizon recovery IMG by accident they aren't the same. I just guessing since you've provided little information...
Also did you verify the md5

After Installing custom ROM my HTC One is freeze at Welcome Screen. Touch Screen is not working. Only volume key and power button are working. Any Solution?
I am installing this ROMhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023&page=5
This is the process I took:
1. Turn OFF the device
2. Turn ON the device in bootloader mode (hold power + vol down)
3. Enter recovery mode using navigation keys
4. Selected "install zip", then "choose zip from /sdcard"
5. flashed Android Revolution HD ROM
At the end of the AROMA installation there was a message "se_metadata_recursiv: some changes failed" but it allowed me to continue
When finished it said Rom was flashed successfully I rebooted, it went to splash screen and went no further.
I tried re installing the Rom again same result
I completely wiped phone clean, restored to factory default re installed Rom.
sd card wont mount so due to not having removable sd card on this device I cant put any other roms or backup files on phone
I tried reinstalling the ROM without using the touch functionality on AROMA, with no success as well
Phone info is
Recovery Clockwork mod v6.0.4.8
Unlocked
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.56.000

Do you have a Sprint or Verizon phone? If not, try CWM 6.0.4.3 or TWRP 2.6.3.3 or 2.7.1.2

Try to get into bootloader/FASTBOOT USB and run the following:
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
If you have a nandroid backup of your stock rom, you might want to try it.
Also you needed to wipe cache and dalvik cache and data before you installed the Rom. So your device is so fresh and so clean

Well no arhd wipes cache and dalvik as part of the install script. I would flash twrp 2.6.3.3. It works best with that Rom
Thank you all guys, the phone is back working again.
I changed the TWRP recovery to 2.7.1.1 and did the dalvik/cache wipes and it got back to work. The splash screen took a somewhat long time to finish in the first time, but everything worked.
Whenever you flash a new Rom you should wipe data, cache and dalvik.

Okay.. so I did a stupid act by flashing runny kitkat on my HTC Sensation sxl S-On ... Now i am stuck in a bootloop and i am not knowing how to restore the phone by the ruu since most of them are failing .. i relocked the bootloader btw and i am panicking so much right now
I need help .. please
I wanna either restore the phone, or find a way to install a new rom
I think I need to restore it first to be S-off
Please help me
Thank you very much
There is no need to be s-off (my experience). I installed a lot of roms on this device while it was s-on.
Unlock your bootloader (if you lock it, you won't be able to install any custom rom or recovery, only official roms (ruu's) from HTC)
Boot into bootloader (boot into bootloader with power button + volume down)
Make sure you are in FASTBOOT mode. (If you are in HBOOT mode, you must select FASTBOOT with the powerbutton.)
connect the sensation xl to your pc.
Try to install a recovery (like twrp) via fastboot with the command " fastboot flash recovery ..... .img" (You can find the program fastboot here. It will also come with ADB, but you don't need it (unless you want it).
Boot into recovery (boot into bootloader with power button + volume down, then scroll down to recovery and use the power-button , recovery wil now boot)
In the recovery, format/wipe system, data, cache, dalvic cache.
mount usb storage to your pc. Copy the rom you downloaded to that USB storage. Unmount
Install your rom. (I recommand the pac rom, since the installer of this rom alse provides a better version of HBOOT)
I hope this will work for you and some other people. :silly: Please hit the thanks button if this worked for you and if not... feel free to ask more so i can help you.
Ok so I did unlock the bootlader a while back.. but now issues with recovery can't flash anything and there is no recovery installed
How do I know if the bootloader is still unlocked?
Can it lock on it's own or ??
I can do a temp flash with twrp.. but it is gone after I reboot.. if I try to flash anything with the temp twrp.. it fails..
If you can temp flash twrp, then your bootloader is unlocked fine. You should probably get new downloads of the files you wish to flash before retrying anything.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Next, you'll need to flash magisk and NoVerity_opt-encrypt.zip to keep twrp if running stock:
- boot recovery
- format data and make sure ya wipe encryption fully as directed in twrp thread
-flash noVerity.zip
- flash magisk
I tried installing custom rom for the first time now i did it with xiaomitool but it gave error that it couldnt wipe data and my phone stuck on boot.
Then on my phone i booted to twrp and frm there i wiped dalvik cache and data with a wrappedkey error but i continued and flashed pixel exp plus and formatted data and when i rebooted system i again got stuck there
Then once again i went to twrp and tried wiping dalvik cache and data again but this time with wrappedkey amd some decrypted error to and formated data and then tried rebooting to system. Again nothing worked pls help my otherwose my parents are going to kill me
EDIT : Also my laptop has mac os so i think there isnt much i could do with pc and thats only why i used unofficial xiaomitool in the first place
If youre coming from xiaomi rom or xiaomi eu rom you need to format data ( option in twrp where you type yes) not just wipe data, then reboot to recovery (twrp) again and then follow instruction of rom you want to install. Some custom roms require flashing vendor firmware before flashing rom , then gapps , then magisk if you require root ( if magisk wont install then after flashing rom reboot to twrp again). Also xiaomitool is not ideal for installing custom rom but for recovery and fastboot roms ( one that came originally with phone when phone had locked bootloader, never tick wipe and lock)
Disregard my comment about xiaomitool, had thoght that you mean miflash tool
But how
That rom is not in my phone anymore nor i know how to install back to xiaomi rom btw my phone is indian varient
UPDATE
I once again tried flashing pixl exp plus using a diff tutorial which included flashing some disable force encryption and now my device wont even boot into twrp its stuck on fastboot mode.
Now i only hot two question :
1.) will i be able to charge my phone in fastboot mode (or any other way?)
2.) will i be able to flash stock miui rom in fastboot mode through my mac (or if theres any other way pls tell me)
Yes you will be able to charge through fastboot
Just flash twrp again thn boot into twrp and go to wipe - format data and type yes.
Until and unless you format data you will not be able to do anything
Thn download Indian vendor zip ,your required rom and disableforceencryption.zip in your pc and copy it to the phone while in twrp.
Go to wipe and wipe cache ,dalvik ,data, system, vendor
Thn flash vendor zip followed by rom and dfe
Now reboot
device is jusr stuck on fastboot

Only if you forget to change the option in the Mi Flash Tool, which is easily done if you're not paying attention. If the fastboot ROM is the correct version for the phone then you won't brick the phone if you forget to change the flash option. You will just need to unlock the bootloader again before doing anything else.
After flashing a fastboot ROM, boot into MIUI once so that the install finalises itself.
Then flash TWRP and boot into TWRP.
Do a factory reset, then format data. No need to wipe anything else.
Reboot into TWRP to ensure the newly formatted data partition is properly mounted.
Now copy across and flash the ROM of choice plus any optional extras.
There is no need to flash dfe files or vbmeta, etc.
Assuming you've flashed the latest fastboot ROM, then there's no need to flash vendor or firmware files.
