Kaiser, no service - Help - ?

Last night i was playing with my gps ( Navigon - Google Maps - Google Nav) I switch the phone off at the comm Manager and left it off like that the whole night.
This morning when i switched it on, the phone refused to receive any signal.
Ive tried the following
Soft Reset
Hard Reset
Different Sims
Switching flight mode on and off aswell as the phone tabs
Ive changed the band from auto to gsm and back and still nothing
Gps, Wifi and everything else still works perfectly.
Before i return it and wait like 50 days for them to fix it, what can i try?

More information please. Rom, Radio, SPL?
Also have you tried calling your provider to ask if theres any problems at their end?

I have no idea what rom..
lemme check..i have not changed a thing since i took delivery of the phone about 9 11 month ago.
my sim works perfectly in another phone.

radio version 1.27.12.32

Does your sim work perfectly in another phone *in the same location* though? It was suggested you contact your network provider to see if they have any known issues or there are any reasons why your phone shouldn't be working. It may help if you have the IMEI number ready if you are in the UK, in case there is some reason why it has been blacklisted. If your TyTN II wont work with another sim in it (ideally from another network provider) and your usual network provider is unaware of any reason why this should be happening, then as a stock standard TyTN II, I think you'll have a good chance of having it looked at for free under warranty by HTC. Here in the UK I had my ROM reflashed from their WM 6.1 abomination back to the original WM 6.0 version by HTCs repair centre within one day so unless you choose a turtleback express postage option to send it in, there's no way it should take 50 days.

It started working all on its own again? how weird is that?

it had been normal ?
my tytnII had became the same after flight mode had turned on.
when fight mode off, it displayed "no service".

you just use GSM-schen-HTC.Kaiser.CommManager.3G

my tytnII had this commManager software. I just used this commManager to turn on or off this flight mode .

how about no sim detected?

This problem is on my phone ,but this prog is not running perfectly. Error report at cca 95% full "sufficient system permissions"

after I reflash this tytn`s rom, it remain no service.
I think it had wrong with its gsm hardware.

My solution is
1. I format rom by use MTTY tool.
(1. How to check and repair bad block
a). Please make sure that you are SuperCID and you understand the importance of hard spl as this maybe a dangerious operation for you.
b). Download Mtty.exe file in the attachment below and save it to your computer.
c). Open connection setting of your activesync or WMDC on your PC and disable "Allow USB connection".
d). Put your divice into Bootloader mode and connect to your PC via USB
e). Run Mtty.exe from your PC
f). Selec "USB" in port box and then click OK
g). Press Enter once or twice to let the screen dispay "USB>" or "CMD>"
h). Type "info 8" to check if your device has bad blocks. And if there are any,
i). Type "task 2a" to fix the bad blocks.
2. Flash Rom again.
3. Now Signal come.

And you turned your Kaiser into a BRICK...
... If your SPL supports "task 2a".

Major Issues

Well lets just start from the beginning.
My mate tried to mod my Shift which he brike and it has been sitting on a shelf gathering dust. I have finnally picked it back up to now try and fix myself. I have a half working version of windows 7 on it. Boots up only in safe mode and the windows mobile side I can only get half the functions.
I would like to ge this fully working but I think its giong to take alot of support from you guys. I have tried installing the windows 7 drivers from you howtos but still dont sea to be getting wifi. I have tried to get into the commmanager in the windows mobile side but only get half a screen with the only options of fight mode and modem.
First of all I would like to say I am limited as i dont have a external disk drive but I do have a 16bg usb stick.
Where do I start???

OK reading a few things installling windows 7 without wifi activated in the windows mobile can lead to bad things.
Canm I switch on the wifi using the file explorer, is there an exe to activate it.

OK I have sorted out the BSOD on boot by disabling the resolution program in msconfig. It now boots up without any issues.
I have tried restarting snapvue using ECShift - reset but does not work.
In ECshift I am getting "could not open EC"

Found that the ECcontroller drivers were not installed correctly so i have updated the drivers to thge correct one and now I have it working.

I think putrwanz once told me that when u are on windows side , u can fully restore to original windows vista if u press Fn button and F3 button together . If that is successful then u may try slowly to put back snapvue , shagcontrol , all drivers , etc ... and play around it for awhile before u decide to change to xp or windows 7 and also windows mobile 6.1 romeo rom and etc ... cab u try fn + f3 button first ? All the best trying - jimmunsw

Sim Card Missing/No Service

Since a few months I have been experiencing some serious issues with my TyTN II.
After being on for a while, it displays either:
No Service - While the reception in the area is just fine. Switching 'Phone' off and on in the Comm Manager fixes this problem, but then after maybe half an hour the same thing happens
Sim Card Missing - Apparently it can't read the SIM, a soft-reset usually helps in this situation.
I have tried several ROMs and Radios, and I even had the SIM-reader in the phone replaced. The SIM-card itself works fine in several other phones.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Any other suggestions as to what I could do? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Have you tried other sim card on your phone and see what happens? Have you checked the sim card slot and see if there is nothing that's interfering the phone signal?

this is the same thing that is happening to me and there is no obstruction or anything interfering with the sim card connecting to the phone eventually i gave up on looking for a fix. So now i reverted to using my opal So the TyTn II just became my pocket pc now im going to flash wm6.5 jijijijijijjijiji but if somebody finds a fix please post it cause the tytn II was awesome but now its dead.

I'm having the same problem here. Already changing the sim flex and sim card reader, but still no improvement. Is there anything that I can do for this problem?

tried sim in another phone and it works, tried another sim in the kaiser and no sim detected??

almost the same problem with my 8925
I have WM6.1 on it. It some time has a good reception, but in several minutes it says The SIM card is missing. Then it (not always, but sometimes) finds SIM itself. strange thing is, that if I flash WM6.5, it has almost no problems but it looses sound and camera doesn't work either...
Any ideas?

Almost the same with my Kaiser. The only difference, it doesn't show "No Service" message, shows network icon and name, but not available for calling. From time to time becomes available, after few seconds no more! After several hours of such unstable working, drops network at all, with no chanse of restoring it unless switching phone off/on. After that, performing as before.
I have installed a numerous versions of Roms and Radios, ranging from WM6.0 to WM6.5, tried Android, tried almost every combination of band, frequency, hsdpa and data setting with no help.
Is it possible hardware failure?

I did notice a micro switch in the sim card slot when I was tearing down my unit.. perhaps you want to play with the switch to see if other position may solve your issue.

has anyone tried this? I'm having the same problem where my phone says no service and sim card missing, but i'm afraid to be the first to try this mtty fix as i've never used it before. Can someone confirm that it will fix this problem? Thanks to the guy that put it up ^

after "info 8" my kaiser formatted... and i can not type "task 2a" ??????

i'm planning to change the flex cable cause mine has a cut in the middle and need to change the lcd due to crack

It's not the SIM card or the switch. That switch you're referring to will shut the phone off in the event that the SIM door is opened.
As for the "no service" issue, I understand that the HSPDA/3G radio part of the phone tends to go bad, especially with certain radio SPLs'. Once it's gone, it's gone for good. The only way to restore functionality is to replace the lower board which contains the radio, which includes the NAND (all your precious data).
I have seen some success with people using the 1.70 series of radio versions but it does not restore 3G/HSPDA, only 2G is functional, and the way networks are changing over to 4G, I don't see much of a future for 2G devices.
My advice... Find a replacement Kaiser with a cracked screen or other problem that doesn't involve the lower board and swap parts.

Out of curiosity, and asking for a mod to help on this:

Broken WiFi for htc Diamond :(

Hi guys, I mingled with my phone last night and installed this android build i saw on neopeek, it said it has 3d drivers and camera working so i thought idd give it a shot. I installed it and it worked pretty fast , then i wanted to download an app and started wifi.
It took longer than usual to activate so i went to settings (i activated it from the power control widget 1st) to check out whats going on. And wifi it was saying activating .. error. I tried a few times when i said to myself , oh well, good build , but wifi aint working.
I returned to windows mobile and now i cant activate it anymore not even in windows mobile. I tried everything, soft reset, hard reset, installed a stock rom, nothing works
can anyone help me ? is it broken hardware ? should i use the heat gan on the wifi chip ? what should i do ? thanks

i remember that in early version it happens. I thinks the solution was to reset our device until windows recognize wifi.
i tried everything, soft reset, hard reset, installed a different rom with new radios, nuthin` worked. I think the wifi is broken hardware
Also When im in windows mobile and i go to device information , i can see the bluetooth mac address, i cant see wifi anywhere in the hardware tab
Sorry for editing once again , just wanted to say i tryed MTTY format + ROM installation, and its the same, i guess its hardware broken and i need a heatgun, will post updates, if anyone cares

you don't see wifi MAC address under hardware..
I had same problem, changed bottom buttons(contains wifi chip as well) and now working
I changed them because they had pretty bad scratches.
you can get those pretty cheap on ebay.
if reassembing, make sure you connect screen and buttons ribbon cable(they don't snap in)

Okay first of all i would like to thank the person who posted an answer , it really helped.
I didnt even buy new buttons, i just disconnected the phone from all the connectors (display, buttons, etc.), and reconnected. It was really hard reconnecting the display but i did it in the end. Now wifi works once again !
One happy camper here !

Help: cant use File Explorer to update Win8.1 to Win10 on Lumia925

I have a couple Lumia Phones on Win8.1 and I want to update to Win10, but obviously I cannot connect to the store. I cant believe I didnt know about the Windows Store shutting down before now!
The really bad news is my Lumia925 does not have a File Explorer app so I dont know how to install anything on this. I've tried downloading various .xap and .appx files, is there no way of updating this phone?

so I was following the guides posted for setting up Windows Phone Internals to unlock the bootloader and mass storage, I thought I had done everything correctly as I found the FFU for my phone, I flashed it once and then selected unlock bootloader, but now my phone is softlocked with a blank screen that just says Nokia. I cant shut it off and this model Lumia 925 doesnt have anyway to remove the battery. hopefully I can recharge/reset it after the battery dies
I thought the 925 was like all the other Lumias but it doesnt even have an SD slot sigh! I guess this wasnt the right Lumia for me to buy lol at least I still have my Lumia 1520 working just fine, but I wish I didnt just throw away $50 on this thing
I was hoping to have a smaller sized WP (as backup to my 1520) but the only other model I want is the Lumia 950 and for that price I could buy a full windows tablet/winbook with keyboard lol... is the 950 worth it? or should I just wait a couple years for small notebooks to decrease in price
update: my battery finally died and when plugging in the charger the phone came back... now to see if i can figure out what went wrong :good:

Press and hold together [Volume down] and [On/Off] keys. This will reset your phone as a battery pull.

You can try a method call "offline update Win 10 mobile" to up Wp10 for your Lumia 925 in this XDA forum, it don't need to unlock bootloader. I can't get link to you in this post, sorry !
