File Managers with root access compatible with recent SuperSU versions? - SuperSU

I have been using ES File Explorer Pro for root access, but I found it was not compatible with SuperSU 2.74, and I had to go back to SuperSU 2.65.
I would like to eliminate ES File Explorer and find another option that is compatible with SuperSU for root access. Can anyone make any recommendations for a high-quality root-capable file explorer app?

It works flawlessly on my shamu with mm, n dp4 doesn't work with es and latest supersu

Where resides downloaded apk?

Hi,
I own a Huawei S7 tablet and most of the installed apk (also those installed from market) are located in tmpdata which is located directly under root dir.
Where is this data located on a NookColor running Cm7?

/data/app and /data/app-private
First one for free apps, second for paid apps. You can grab your installed apks from there.
However the folders are hidden so use an app like root explorer to browse them.

Viper4Android on Vanir 4.3

Hello,
I've just installed an update of Vanir 4.3 25092013 by Nuclearmistake.
Everything works fine except of V4A. :/
On 22092013 everything were normal..
I've restored V4A FX and XHIFI via TB. If i want to install the driver (CortexA9/15) I get "driver install failed...." root and busybox are up2date...
I hope you can help me... :/

Normally your phone should reboot to recovery and install by itself the su-binary

I know... I've done this many times before but now he said no root...
After installing supersu, driver install worked but after a reboot he asks for another driver install (driver install loop)...

1. Push app after installing into system/app folder with rootexplorer.
2. Deactivate dsp-manager in appsettings.
3. Reboot.
4. Open viper4android
5. Install driver. And reboot
This is how i do it on vanir.
And it works great.
Just give it a try
Edit. "i've didn't installed supersu"

Existenz Black system always RW

Hi,
The system is always mounted as RW on my existenz black ROM.
I used ES explorer and set it to RO, but it reverts back to RW.
Thanks,
Ashish
Do you use another file manager? Maybe in this one you also activated mounting /system RO?

Okay, is it since eXistenZ ROM or since another "incident"?
Maybe try using an other file manager which has that option (e.g. X-plore).

Possible to install SuperSU 2.76 over 2.78?

Hi,
I have SuperSU 2.78 on my device and would like to downgrade to 2.76. Is that possible by installing the 2.76 apk, that I still have in my archive? I guess the binaries wouldn't be affected? Is it possible to downgrade the binaries too?
You can flash supersu 2.76 zip
Enviado desde mi MI 4S mediante Tapatalk
Ah right. So first SuperSU unroot, then flash supersu 2.76.zip?
Or just straight 2.76.zip over it?
All I had to do was flash the zip and disable updates for SuperSU in the playstore - that worked perfectly.
