can't get into recovery mode - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Custom binary blocked by frp.
secure fail: kernel
And that's as far as it goes. So I can't even get into twrp. What do I do from here?

Can you get to download mode? If you can, Odin stock and start over.

I have only used it once. And that was when I first got the phone to get into download mode. Now my 3 button is working I barely use a pc. Just download new rom, kernel etc, on the phone and flash with cwm.

[Q] What have i done? medium brick?

Hi XDA, i'm having problems with my SGS.
the case is, i accidently formated "/boot" and now i cannot boot into recovery, only download mod and i can't flash stock via DM, it gives me this error: <ID:0/008> Can't open the serial(COM) port.
is it possibole to retrive my phone without JIG?
The only thing a jig does is enter download mode. Not sure what DM is, but have you tried flashing with ODIN?
Put phone into download mode and flash a stock ROM with Odin from samfirmware.com these stock ROMs contain the secondary bootloader the you erased. You will be fine after that.

[Q] Bricked or what? HELP.

My phone bricked or what? I can ONLY SWITCH ON and it's freeze at "Galaxy Note blablabla (black background)".
When it happened : When i pull battery without poweroff (because hang)
What i can do else : 1. I can login recovery mode. 2. Can charge the phone
What i cant do : Cant connect to PC, cant use the phone (only switchON)
What i tried : Clean install other rom + kernel but still the same.
HELP, TIA. :crying:
If You can't connect Your phone to pc, try to put some other rom on your sd card via some adapter, wipe data, system and flash new rom.
I hope this will help

Put a safe kernel (Philz) in and Wipe everything *Use Clean Before flash new ROM option under Philz Settings* and flash a rom via CWM or, if you can enter in Download Mode, from Odin.
Flash a stock rom and get the .zip file from www.samfirmware.com or sammobile.com

Boot loop with no way to get into recovery

I messed up, when loading Hyperdrive into a ROM slot, battery went dead. Now does the vibrate thing and the screen lightens a bit, (still black) and boot loops. Can't get into recovery, but can get into download mode. Any file on here set up so as to load phone in download mode?

Flash the ML2 Odin package (links in the Firmware Thread). You have to be in download mode to flash anything with Odin.

OK, but I should of stated that I was on 4.4.2.NE3...my guess is to follow the guide for rooting by sunderwear and not load the boot loader.

Correct. There will be a couple things that don't work when you're on 4.3 (WiFi and sound), but once you flash the NE3 update everything should be back to normal.

Flashing Back To Stock

I've tried flashing firmware through ODIN all day. Either ODIN gets stuck at start or Update Fails. Anyone else having these issues?
