I want to run Viper 4 android but the root is systemless. From my understanding I have to be using regular root to use Viper 4 android.
My question is, is it possible to go from systemless root to regular root?
Thanks
Just follow the instructions, flash MM, flash twrp, flash the latest SuperSU beta, load your apps. Then flash freeza's beast mode kernel that was released today on the Android development section. Then install viper as usual. I flashed the kernel at lunch and viper is running fine.

twrp recovery isnt a market app, and cwm recovery does not exist for a necus 6. twrp you need to flash via fastboot. after you have root, you can install/update twrp via an app.
So when I rooted I recall TWRP showing up on my phone in the process...does the root toolkit remove the recovery after the root?
Sorry if these are silly questions, its been years since I rooted a device and I've never used adb until recently...
I have solved my issue. I now have TWRP and am running Pure Nexus and its badass!!

Hello all,
So I just installed the latest Xposed framework on my rooted note 4 (the stable one not the experimental) and am having trouble installing it. It keeps giving me an error shown below in an attachment. Either Xposed is "Not (yet) compatible with Android SDK Ver. 22 or not compatible with my armeabi-v7a processor.
Any help is appreciated. Other forums have had the same problem except with Marshmallow and I am on 5.1 lollipop

Flash the .zip in recovery, reboot and then sideboard install alpha apk afterward. This is what we must use to get xposed to work on 5.1.1 TW.

Thanks for your reply. Can i do this through ODIN since I dont have TWRP or CWM installed on my phone? If so do I flash under pda with a .tar file or will the zip work?
Thanks!
You would need to Odin the twrp or cwm recovery first, than flash the .zip thru either recovery.

Thanks so much. I bricked my device a few times trying to fix it but it worked. For anyone else who has the same problem, just use Rashr to flash it and it will automatically go into recovery in TWRP and do it for you. I also made sure to clear cache and dalvic before doing so. Thanks again d12unk13astard!
Glad you got it to work, I can't live without xposed lol

I upgraded from cog2 to dok2 by flashing through odin just fine. then I flashed cfauto root through odin to retain root, worked great check through root checker and have root. now my problems come when i try to install twrp 3.0.0. I go into odin and flash, says successful and phone boot up just fine. but when I power phone off and try to launch twrp it just stays on the samsung galaxy note 4 powered by android screen, then shuts off the goes back to screen and does this it wont boot to twrp or boot back to normal start up. i have to go back to download mode and start the process all over again reflashing dok2 and root, Every time i try to install twrp same thing. Any ideas?
Latest twrp is like 2.8.7.6 or something not 3.0.0 make sure your flashing the correct twrp or philz recovery for your phone model.

Latest is 3.0.0.0-1. Op downloaded the version that was bugged. A new version came out that fixed the problem and is posted in the twrp 3.0.0.0 thread in the T-Mobile galaxy note 4 original development forum

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get a Custom recovery working in my phone. It's a SM-N920C International (UAE) version. If I flash Arther's Philz Recovery or TWRP both of them get stuck in "Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Recovery is not SEandroid enforcing". Usually it should start right away but even waiting like 10 minutes it doesn't start. I can use the phone normally and even flash stock roms with ODIN. It just doesn't want to start any Custom Recover I throw into it. Any thoughts?

Oops, I've forgot that! I'm on Marshmallow
Btw I realized that I was installing LP recoveries in MM so I flashed the lastest TWRP build and now it works. The new problem is that I managed to root it but even if SuperSU works I can't manage to modify system files and busybox doesn't work either. I've flashed Dr.Ketan experimental MM root over Supersu 2.67 (Systemless root) because it didn't worked.. so maybe there's a conflict there. I'll report tomorrow.
Fixed with a beta of twrp

You have to be extremely careful because there is a Lollipop and Marshmallow version of this device. I cannot give a link to the correct thread, but there is a thread on XDA that has a Marshmallow guide.
Basically you just flash with Odin, I used TWRP version twrp_3.0.2-1_sm-t350_mm_9816
Before you flash make sure you are in dev mode so Knox does not screw with you. have your SuperSU flash Zip on your SD card, I used UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323
Boot into recovery, select install and chose the file I said above. It will flash and Root your device as a system root.
