Your LCD is broken or just LCD flex tape is not connected properly. Check flex connection or replace LCD. Worst scenario is damaged capacitors near LCD connection but first You need to check LCD and connection itself.

problem: Hardware button "letting go"

As more people probably have noted: The hardware keys of the HTC Diamond lie a bit higher than the screen itself on some units.. I think this problem caused the protective layer on the keys on my diamond to let go, I attached a picture for better explanation. (Look on the upper left and right corners..)

Does anyone else have that same problem?
And can I send my phone back for warranty with this problem? Or am I simple doomed with an ugly keypad from now on?
Thanks!
you can buy new ones from ebay
I had the same problem and I just peeled the layer off.. its been about 5 months without the layer and the button works just fine.
Yes, just be sure to press against the button while you peel the layer off, so you dont break the plastic panel, its a bit thin. I think its as if the wheel censor has better sensitivity with the layer gone, and it looks as good too..

[Q] a question on the design looks of different variations...

I've noticed on the WHITE AT&T VIVID that there's a small rectangle/round edge window on the front near the top speaker to the left of the logo..etc

I don't have that on my black VIVID...
anyone know what that is ?? is it the ambient sensor for the display light ??
so why it's only shown on the white version ??
Thanks

Yes you do, shine a bright light at the top of the glass, all of the same 'windows' are there.
I think the capsule/rectangle one is the proximity sensor -- an emitter and a receiver to gauge proximity, and the top left dot is the ambient light sensor.

Display issue

Hi everyone!
I have a tab S2 9,7 2015 wifi and i bought it recently. When I have the tablet in portrait everything it's ok with the display.
When i turn it in landscape i have an issue with the display. It's more visible at night with low lights and low brightness.Since i see it once, now i can see it all the time.
It' like i can see the leds behind the screen.
It's not visible with any app from google play that tests the screen.Only with this blue colour and white or grey etc.
I send it to samsung service and they send it me back and said to me that the screen has no issues.
What can i do?It's very annoying...

I have 2 sm-t813, they got the same effect in landscape and low brightness, one of the tablet got the screen replaced (cracked) and the new screen have also lines... It seems to be a normal behavior of amoled screens.
Thank you very much for the response!

normally when i double click the power button a yellow border appears covering the whole screen and goes away but today
the yellow border only covered the status bar and it has a black background. this was gone with a restart but the full yellow border still appears when i double click the power button.
i did factory reset but the problem still exists.
somehow if you use same wallpapers for lock screen and homescreen the yellow border doesnt appear.

Water damaged mi 9

So I dropped this Mi 9 in water and I am getting some interesting problems. When hold the power button connected to power the screen flashes for a millisecond. A shot in the dark but I wonder if anyone could tell me whether that's a mobo or digitiser/amoled problem? I've done a full teardown of it and I can't see any visible water damage on the mobo.
