Questions about Flashing

Hello, I am new to flashing ROM's on my device. I have seen the tutorial on how to do it, but I still have a question which I hope can be answered, as well as put somewhere so others that might have the same questions can find it without making a new thread like I am doing right now.
Does this void the warranty on the phone, and would restoring the original stock ROM on the device restore the warranty?
Again, sorry for making a thread for this, but I could not find the answer for this anywhere.
Thanks.

Yes it will void your warranty but as long as you flash back to a stock ROM and relocking your phone before sending it in for repairs you should be ok....

Take away the "Root" logo in Phone info?

Anyone know how you get rid off that "root" text that stands on info about the phone?
GroundVersion: ------ and then it comes. [email protected]
Mean even if you reflash rom and so and you not got Root it still there, not good i guess if you need to send it in.

If my memory didn't fail me, its the original from the firmware.
Rooting your phone or not doesn't change that line.
Pretty sure it can be changed in build.prop
this line tells about the building [email protected] where the rom was cooked and has nothing to do with having root or not. and yes, it can be changed in build.prop
Can someone post a tutorial to "un-root" the phone?
Thing is rooting voids warranty and if I need to send it back to repair I don't wanna loose my warranty :S
Rooting really voids the warranty? Damn, and I was about to do just that. Not worth the risk, yet. Thanks for the heads up!

[Q] in need of lots of help to get nexus back to stock android

my friend just brought this nexus and it turned out that it was rooted it currently has cyanogen mod 5.0.6 i thought that i could help take care of gettin rid of it and turns out that its really hard. i am jus a regular android user and i enjoy my stock nexus. and my friend really wants to get the phone back to stock. i sure its possible to do so just possible to relock the boot loader. it just seems like this is somthing that is really complicated and i been tryin to help him out. if someone and help walk me thru it and even provide me with all the proper info im sure its possible to get it back to stock. im just not sure how to do so myself i never really played with a rooted phone before. thanks i could really use the help and would appreciate it. thanks.
wrong forums and it's actualy easy if you just read 1 post on this forum...
why would you relock the bootloader? that's just stupid and risky to do.. if it's done it's done.. it's easyer to do everything with an unlocked one anyway.
next time read before you ask:

Well, Superoneclick has got "Unroot" button..
Do it and then factory reset your phone.
Will be enough I guess.

SM-G900A downgrade to root confusion

First off, PLEASE dont yell at me if Ive missed something in one of the threads which I have been searching through, there is just so much info to take in I would ust like clarification.
The phone in question is not one that I am going to be using, I dont care about the warranty, or anything like that. I am trying to recover data (texts, pictures, videos, contacts, etc.) that were lost when a vindictive person factory reset the phone. I am doing this with Wondershare's Dr. Fone software. It says it needs root access for this. The phone has not been used since it was returned to me so nothing should have been written over.
In one thread a girl asks about SimMobile firmware "Are there any glitches in the no-ship OF3? If so, I'm guessing flashing firmware from sammobile will remedy the problem. (root after this will not be necessary)" If root isn't needed after can't I just do that? http://https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/help/rooting-file-recovery-t3603349
I have a S5 that has taken the update to 6.0.1, I dont know which one that is on this thread http://https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/guide-downgrade-firmware-sm-g900a-t3398934 .
I have read root guides, and thread after thread, after thread. I am flustered and just want to recover this data. If there is a better way I will gladly do it, but if not can someone hold my hand and walk me through this? Pls
Phone is running whatever was there to begin with...if someone will help I can give the exact info just tell me what i need to show and do! Thank u for your time, and any hero that can solve this dilemma and stop my ears from smoking, just point in the direction of a donation link!
