Is MM Adoptable Storage possible on T710 - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to get adoptable storage working on my non-rooted t710 with MM. I have tried the guide for the Galaxy S7 (http://www.phonearena.com/news/How-...rage-on-Galaxy-S7-and-S7-edge-no-root_id79189) which I hope would work for the S2 Tab, but no dice.
Is there anyway to get adoptable storage working on the t710 with MM?
Thanks
T-V

The consensus seems to be that adoptable storage is bad. Don't do that. The issue is even good SDXC cards are slower than the onboard flash. If cards keep getting faster then maybe it would be a better idea. I am not sure why you need root. Seems to me when you plug in a new card you get the choice right then whether you want it to be adoptable storage or portable storage.

[Q][i9001] Swapping internal&external sd storage

Hey!
Just quick question, will this script swap internal/external sd correctly on my rooted Smasung S plus? I'm running out of space for games(especially those, as data for it is saved on internal sd) and applications.
If it won't, can you suggest anything better?
I've got 32gb microSD class 4(should be enough fast), in case it matters.
Thanks for anyhelp.

G870A MM Internal SD Card Mode

Hey, I'm having problems with my SD card and read somewhere that MM has an internal SD card mode. Does this work on the GS5 Active?
I think I figured it out.
For those who are curious I just followed the steps here (http://highonandroid.com/android-ho...rage-for-galaxy-s7-s7-edge-adoptable-storage/)
EDIT
I guess it's not working right... or maybe I don't really get how this works. I thought this would merge my storage. So camera/music and what not would auto migrate to SD card... But that doesn't seem to be working. I used bittorrent sync to sync my music but it is taking up all of my internal storage space. Any thoughts?
EDIT 2
Maybe okay now? I didn't migrate my data... so maybe this will fix the problem.

Is there anyway to get adaptable storage on lollipop

I always get low internal memory error, and the custom roms builds cant use 2nd mic at all,
so I am looking for a way to get adaptable storage on the official lollipop build
Buy this

It's worth it. I use this app on my ZR with stock 5.1.1. In my internal memory less than 2GB is occupied.

Run Android off external sd card. This script worked in CM13. But not in 14.1

Any talented coders here that can fix this script to make it work with the L90?
https://androidforums.com/threads/sd-hack-for-storage-expansion.908126/
This script used to allow the phone to run entirely off the sd card. So if you had a fast Sandisk Extreme sd card, you would never run out of space, and it would be as fast as internal emmc storage.
No stupid link2sd apps to mess with.
This script worked in CM13, and I was able to run android entirely off external sd card.
But since wifi would always turn off when the phone was asleep, I had to upgrade to Lineage 14.1.
However, something in 14.1 is breaking this script, and it does not work anymore.
So I'm now forced to suffer from the extremely limited storage space of the L90.
Adoptable storage sucks hard because it doesn't really use external sd card storage effectively. You still can't install a bunch of apps because actual internal storage is so limited.

Tab S8.4 Lineage 14.1 use MicroSd as internal memory

Hi,
I recently installed Lineage 14.1 on my Tab S 8.4. Everything worked great and there is great improvement in performance.
I have one question, I have installed a 32Gb Micro Sd card and the device asked me if I wanted to format it as internal memory, which I did. So according to the OS I now have 40Gb, 8Gb onboard + 32Gb Micro Sd.
However when I try to install apps or connect the tablet to my computer it says that I only have 8Gb on board memory. So now even though I have a lot of space, the tablet keeps on telling me that I am running out of space.
So on one hand it sees that I have the 32Gb card installed, but on the other hand it ignores it.
I can try with another SD card, but it is quite a long process, since I will need to reset the tablet again, so before I do that I wanted to ask if someone had a similar problem, or maybe there is some hardware limitation on the tablet that will not allow me to use the sd card as internal memory.
Anyone come across issues like this before?

Your device should have 16gb not 8gb internal storage.
The data on the sdcard also gets encrypted once adoptable storage is enabled.
Data also needs to be migrated using the migrate option after setting up adoptable storage.
If your internal storage was already full before enabling adoptable storage then that's part of the issue.
Internal storage will still get used even with adoptable storage enabled, just most of the data will go to the sdcard.
I suggest you fix your size issue first.
You are right, the device does have 16gb and not 8gb.
Right now the usage is as follows, 14.5gb on the internal and 1.4gb on the sd card, although when I click on the sd card I am told that I am using 8.9gb.
When I first installed Lineage, the first thing I did (before even installing GApps) was to put the sd card in and when asked chose to format it as internal storage, so there was nothing to migrate, because none of the apps were installed.
The problem that I am having is that although the tablet days its using the sd card, it uses internal memory.

After more experiments I think I understand what the problem is.
Even though the OS says that it's using the sd card as internal storage, it doesn't.
I tested it by putting the sd card into a computer and seeing how much space was being used, the partition was encrypted, but based on the fact that it was less than 1gig, it is pretty clear that it did not store the 8gb of data as Android OS might have suggested.
So the question is, is Lineage OS unable to use SD Card as internal memory on Tab S8.4 because of hardware limitations.
Or is my tablet FUBR and it's time to let it rest and get a new one.
