Here is a flashable zip to get the radio working in hopefully, all CM12 based roms. Delete/uninstall the current FM Radio app/apk from system/app if it's there, then flash this. Have only the one device to test but is working on mine and 'should' be working fine. As always, back up first
Thanks for the fix
Am using RR_5.5.9_X510_Stable and after I flashed your zip FM radio for showed in \system\app which wasn't there before, but FM radio still force close in app drawer.
I has to install the app in your zip which opened normal but give error: NOT AVAILABLE NOW
weird... thats the rom I'm on, and is working fine here, and tested on crdroid as well. Is working there also. Just installing the app wont work, you need the other files in the zip.
Has anyone else tried it?

Umi rome-x does not work
Hmm.... As a test, if someone finds the files in the radio zip from their stock rom, and adds them and FM radio apk to a port rom, and flashes that, does THAT work? As I say, I only have the one phone to test.
Radio
It doesn't work.
RR 5.5.9
Sorry, it was for a doogee x5/6 and I flashed it to my uhappy up580 and works on that as well, assumed it would work on the infinix.
Sorry.
Didn't work for me. I'm on RR pie ROM

Hello,
I am trying to install CM7, the stable (bbq) version, on my gfs n1. I downloaded the zip, did a nandroid backup just in case, applied zip and rebooted. It opened to the CM7 load screen and i thought everything was working. Waited on that blasted screen for 45 mins and nothing happened. Did a battery pull and restored from the backup and everything is working how it used to. I am trying to figure out why the CM7 install didnt work.
I think it is because of the radio. She is coming from 2.1, an old CM rom. I am not sure which one. I didnt update any radio before i flashed the rom. I didnt know which radio to flash. The newest radio is a Korean radio. Should i flash that before i do CM7 flash. Any advice would be great. Thank you.
yes, you should have the newest radio, korean radio is ok for usa use.
alright, ill flash radio, then flash rom, then reboot. Ill let you know if i blow anything up. Thank you =)
Did you wipe everything?
i would do a full wipe ...yes
Did you flash gapps file also?
Full wipe should include system partition also.
FYI radio 5.08 is what come with 2.3.x ota. Radio 5.12 should work no problems.
I just updated my device to the last version 2.3.3 gingerbread.
Everything was working good until I tried to make a call.
I have full service signal, but the problem is that I cannot hear anything and from the other side cannot hear me too.
however, is not a hardware problem, because I can make calls using Skype or any other similar app without problems.
my device is in S-Off and I used ClockworkMod Recovery (downloaded from another thread here) to Install the Rom.
first, I downloaded the Rom from a chinese website and then I tried with another one (non chinese)
but...both with the same problem, So I guess is not a ROM problem.
I'm trying to update from a 2.2.1 version also downloaded from a chinese website (I bought my cellphone in China).
I have tried with some RUUs from this forum, but I'm also having the problem 170 & 171 usb conexion.
I tried to explain everything full detailed. Hope someone could help me!
(I was looking for answers in other threads but with no success)
Thanks.
Hi there,
I had the same problem as you only a few weeks ago after installing a custom rom as well going from froyo to gingerbread.
The problem lies with the radio. You will need to upgrade your radio version. In doing so you will get sound from voice calls back.
Here is the thread I followed that will show you how. At the bottom of the first post you will have the list of radio versions as well as with which RUU it should go with.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1129014
Hope it works for you, good luck!
System92
Thanks for your quick response!, I will check right now!.
Tell you later!
---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 PM ----------
can you tell me which Rom and Radio you used please?. and Did you use some .exe Ruu?.
Thanks!
I am using CyanogenMod Nightly builds, which are based on Android 2.3.5 now. My radio is 20.2810.30.085AU_3805.06.03.16 (last hyperlink from the list) and everything runs well.
No I didn't use a .exe RUU
I need to bother you again!. is this version size just 78Mb?. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015532)
others Rom I downloaded was all above 200 Mb.
If it's like the ones on the official site, it is probably zipped (explaining the smaller size, +/- 80mb).
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=vivo
Thank you very much System92, I just Installed the same Rom and Radio as you did and It worked perfectly!. (by the way, It's a great Rom with a fantasctic interface!)
Thanks Again!
Your welcome Bastian_n, I'm glad you got everything working!
CM7 is basically what stock Android looks like without Sense UI. Although with some tweaking you'll find that you can still customize it to your liking!
Have fun!
one last question. I cannot find the market in this version? Should I do something more? maybe patch it, or Install it as an upgrade?

Yes with the CM 7 Rom you will have to install the Google Apps separately.
Google apps may not have been included in the rom's installation. All you will have to do is download the Google Apps from HERE. Go to the very bottom of the page and click on "Download" for CyanogenMod 7.
Next, follow these instructions:
Once booted you might find some apps are missing, namely the Android Market, Gmail, etc. If this has happened, you will need to flash the Google Apps pack. To flash, copy the Google Apps to the root of the SD card, boot into the custom recovery image, and flash the Google Apps package like you flash any other ROM (do not wipe data after flashing the Google Apps package). I have the CM One Droid rom on my HTC One. I'm running the latest stable build (build #13). The rear camera doesn't work. When I try to open the camera app, it just says "unable to connect to camera". I've tried different camera apps and they don't work. The only thing I have accomplished by trying 3rd party apps is that I have got the front-facing camera to work with the one called CameraMX. I really don't know what the problem is. Usually, when stuff like that happens, it's because you flash a rom or kernel that was made for a different phone or something.
So the CM One Droid rom is indeed made for the HTC One M7 GSM version, right?
I've also tried reflashing the rom, reflashing after erasing my everything as well as every different possible combination of erasing different things and then reflashing. As far as reflashing that rom in order to fix what got messed up goes, I've beat every possibility like a dead horse. I can't even update my version of TWRP because I'm already on the latest version. Version 2.6.3.4 to be exact.
The camera worked fine on the stock rom but that's the only time I've ever seen it work. Also, the camera flash doesn't work. No flashlight programs are able to access the flashlight with the exception of the built in flashlight app that comes with that rom.
I even bought a new camera unit. The only problem is that the wonderfully smart people at HTC who are awesome at planning ahead for things like this did such an amazing job designing the case that it's impossible to open without seriously messing it up with power tools  That's the only reason I haven't attempted to replace it yet.
Will going through the S-OFF thing help anything at all?
Is there anything I haven't tried that anyone can think of?? I just find it hard to believe that I'm literally the ONLY ONE having this problem.
Edit: I see that there are different TWRP firmwares for the m7ul and m7 variant. I'm currently running the 2.6.3.4 for the M7ul. Should I try to flash the latest version of the M7 firmware instead of M7ul? I bought my phone from [email protected] in the US so everything SHOULD be working without problems on the m7ul firmware but the fact that this damn camera isn't working says otherwise.
Another thing is that it worked when I have the stock rom, but I'd rather not have a camera than use a rom that doesn't have Privacy Guard.
Since I have the sneaking suspicion that no one will be able to help since this isn't a common issue, (Wiping everything and reflashing works for everyone else but not in my case), does anyone know of another rom I can try that has Privacy Guard? That would be a close enough compromise, assuming that it's possible to make the camera work with something other than stock.

hmmm no... you didn't try another rom...

So if it was working fine on stock rom, then the custom rom is probably causing this

maybe you should try to pinpoint if the rom is causing this first...

Meh... again you said it worked fine on stock rom. Might be related to your custom rom lol

Even if I think CM team did a great job with this feature, you could use any rom with Xprivacy module for Xposed framework, much more complete imo and its not limiting you to CM rom...

Why not just try flashing a custom kernel and see if that works. Had the same problem.
Hello all.
I recently flashed the Stock Optimized ROM. Now, none of my radios turn on. Also, no sound at all. Whenever I go to try and change a notification sound or ringtone, it says "Unable to play this file". And SuperSU gives me a message about missing binaries. No idea what do to.
Link to the ROM you flashed?

Looks like there were some issues with that ROM. Either flash the ROM from the link below or run the RUU I PM'd you about. If you flash this ROM make sure you install the Sprint version.

Hi, guys:
I really need some help to make my LG G4 H811 work.
I flashed latest lineage-14.1-20170404-nightly-h811-signed.zip but my camera app "Keeps Stop Working". I tried other camera apps, none of them work.
I also flashed cm-13.0-20161010-NIGHTLY-h811.zip, same problem
I even flashed stock (but rooted) ROM, LG-G4-H811-20R-Stock-Debloated-Rooted, still the same problem.
I am using twrp-3.0.3-0-h811.img (the latest version for H811) and flash my phonh using ROMs from SD card.
Before I flash anything, the camera worked fine out of box.
Should I bring back stock ROM with LGUP/KDZ? However, I really need some 3rd party ROM working because I need multiple-user feature which is disabled in Stock ROM.
Any suggestion is very much appreciated.

thank you for the kindly reply. The issue has been solved by flash Stock 20p KDZ first in download mode then flash the same LineageOS through TWRP. Not sure which step really fixed the issue though.
I do have issues of video recording for 4K and 1080p, which is OK to me for now.
