Note 5 Unroot - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, so I was playing around with the HYD Rom for the Galaxy Note 5. Essentially, it's the entire Galaxy Note 7 UI. I was finished with it and wanted to go back to the stock. However, Odin doesn't work, as it stops at cm.bin before it says Fail. I tried loading Lollipop, same thing. My Nandroid backup doesn't work because when I restore, erase the cache, and reboot, it boots up right back to the recovery, no matter what I do. Can anyone please help, as I would like to go back to stock.

Galaxy S GT-I9000 not starting after using Oding to root

Hi everyone,
I was trying to root my Samsung GALAXY S GT-I9000 to install some custom roms. I followed this tutorial to install ClockWork via Odin:

everything went fine in Odin, no error messages, but my phone is stuck on the initial loading screen (that one with the samsung logo) and it's not loading properly.. I tried to wait like 10 minutes, but nothing changed..
How can I restore everything as it was before? Or flash properly a new rom??
Please help, I'm afraid I broke it..
Thank you in advance for any advice

Hello!
Can you get into download or recovery mode?
If you can go to recovery try wipe cache and if it doesnt work try wipe data but remember it deletes all apps!!

Don't worry, it is just a digestion problem (bootloop). CF-root doesn't work with every firmware. If yours wasn't compatible, bootloop is normal reaction. Check my last thread and there you can find step-by-by step guide how to unbrick it.

Sorry for the late reply: anyway no, the only thing I could do was watch the phone reboot and reboot and reboot and reboot and, finally, reboot
Thank you again!

Great, mate- I'm glad it works again
CF-Root is made AMAIK for Gingerbread ROMs only, and if you have Froyo it is enough to flash SpeedMod root kernel that already features CWM recovery, Busybox and SU. You should always ready very carefully the first posts of the files you flash, so you will void many potential problems.
If you did it after my unbrick guide thread, backup your IMEI No as soon as you root your phone (described how to)
Just click "thanks" button beyond posts which were useful for you, it is our way to express it on this forum (and many us here are visiting the forum to help each other)

Hello, i want to go back to stock rom on my galaxy s5. I am not bricked or anything like that. Every tutorial i look at, it involves using odin, and i cannot do that. I am on the Extreme Debloat ATT V1 running 4.4.2 kitkat. I don't have a md5 file to flash yet because i do not want to download a wrong file and screw up my phone. I don't have a computer at the time, so is there any way i can just download the file straight from my phone and copy it to root and go to recovery and wipe the device and then flash? thank you.

Go back, it means you are already rooted and that, so why don't you just go to recovery and wipe/delete etc, and launch your system
normally, then connect to the internet and download a stock image (.zip), put it on your external sd card, go back to recovery and flash it.
I hope that helped you cause that what I could get from your post,
Best Regards.

No Operating system on phone?

Long story short, I installed Xposed and my device went into a boot loop or just stuck at the T Mobile splash screen.
I factory reset and format data to try and fix the problem.
Now I don't have an operating system on my phone.
Where can I get the system for my phone? I have a SM-910T
I was on COD6 and was reading about COG2 being abailable now?
What are the differences?
Thanks for input
Uum my guess is to Odin back to stock...you do still have download mode on your phone right?
You shouldn't have formatted, reset would have sufficed. Odin back to stock and you should be good to go.
There are threads here that have the stock image or goto sammobile. TEKHD has the stock image in his threads, under android devlopment.
Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
I reset it a few times as well as clear cache and dalvik and nothing. Phone would be on T Mobile screen for 1 hour and still nothing.
So I thought I had to wipe everything. I got stock COD6 and it self updated to COG2 right after it booted.
Will be rooting in an hour or so!
Thanks guys!!!!

Good lol you scared me for a sec....that would've been a fancy expensive paperweight
same prob
i have the same problem with my note 4 ..i wiped out my OS ..can someone help how can i install them back??

Touchscreen not calibrated

I was on the latest Hyperdrive ROM (kitkat) and decided to try out stock Lollipop. So I installed it via ODIN, and then I installed TWRP. Except I installed the Note 4 EDGE TWRP, so now the screen is about half an inch offset in most places. I tried installing the correct TWRP but it made no difference. Same with CWM recovery. This offset happens in both recovery and in Android. I have also tried flashing to stock 4.4.4 kitkat with ODIN. And finally I have restored back to my NANDROID backup of the Hyperdrive ROM, but the problem still persists. I have also tried some display calibration apps but they did nothing.
It appears as if flashing TWRP for Note Edge Tmo has changed a hardware level setting in regards to the screen. However, using the S-Pen is fine (still perfectly accurate).
What should I do? It's annoying having to use the S-Pen for basic things all the time...
I was thinking maybe flashing a PIT file in ODIN would help but I couldn't find one online.
First pit files are no longer pulled from phone. Haven't been since note 3.
What steps did you take to go stock

I used TWRP to erase everything (system, data, cache, etc) and then used ODIN to flash 4.4.4 N910TUVU1ANK4.tar.md5. (Auto reboot and F. Reset Time were checked, by default).

I agree, it should have worked. But it didn't. So I'm thinking maybe using NAND Erase all in ODIN might help to completely reset the phone, but I heard I shouldn't touch that at all, so I won't until I find out more.
I'm just surprised flashing the wrong TWRP could do this...
Xposed mods: Greenify & Play store link in app info. However I doubt Xposed has anything to do with this issue.

Sorry for bringing back this old post, but have anyone found a solution to this yet? Done exactly the same mistake yesterday with TWRP and now I'm stuck with the Spen to do anything in the phone
Go to your dialer and press *#2663# and update all the touch firmwares.

it is a stock rom. Uninstall SuperSU and you're done. It an easy way.
But flashing a factory image is also an option.
But more hassle.

Just remain in recovery mode, download the ROM provided or any other you wish. If you want to get it to stock, that requires fastboot which is up to you depending on the time you have as well as the proper drivers installed on your PC. But anyway, easiest method is to transfer that ROM to your device and flash it from your recovery along with gapps. Afterwards, you can uninstall SuperSU and you won't have root anymore
Your problem will be solved within 10 minutes tops

And the lite stock rom of Danvdh already has most important G-apps installed.

Man, just reboot to the bootloader and flash manually the latest factory mage. If you don't know and don't care to learn, use nexus root toolkit and be happy.
