PRL help please

I have updated to the 2007 PRL on my ppc 6600 and I called sprint yesterday. While I was on hold I was told that my phone was automatically updated. How do I know what was "updated" on my phone? How do I know what PRL is on my phone currently?
I used to have VzW, and updating the PRL there was something that I did once a month because I got better coverage and connectivity every time I did it. On a regular cell phone, you don't ever really know or care what PRL number you have. All you know is that it either completes successfully or not.
My guess is that if your phone said that it updated successfully, then you have the latest PRL on the device. If I remember correctly, in Phone, choose Tools--Options, and then choose the More tab. There may be a button on that tab that gives you additional information (as I recall). Tap it and see what it reports.
The next time you update your PRL, you should notice a difference. If not, then the PRL hasn't been updated yet. As long as you are on your carrier's network, you should be able to update your PRL anywhere in the country.
I hope this helps!
My problem is that the 20007 PRL is not a published PRL that is supposed to be for EVDO but the 10028 is not from my understanding. I know there is a way to see your PRL. Any suggestions professionals?

Mysterious Digital Roam

Today while at work I look down and my phone is in Digital Roam for no reason at all. I tried PRL update I just get a force kill on OMADM has stopped unexpectedly.
I tried removing the battery, re flashing to a different radio, tried wiping the phone and reinstalling fresh 2.1.2 still digital roam. tried connecting to wifi no luck.
took it up to the sprint store the guy is familiar with the fresh rom and told me he's seen a flood of issues today with 1.5 and 2.1 regardless of rom. but they reflash the phones with the sprint update and they are fine...
anyone else having this issue? any fixes? help?... i dont want to get the sprint update and I refuse to believe that they implanted something to block people with bootleg roms... right...?
I know the PRL should be 60665 but it shows 27392

Have you tried running Update Profile as well? That has fixed it for me. Also, I know this seems to pertain to ROMs and such, but post this in the Q&A forum.
Hope you get it figured out.

try adb pushing the attached OMADM.apk to your /system/app directory.
OMADM.apk FC's have been reported by others, and i experienced them myself. This APK fixed the issue for me, I was able to update Profile+PRL and everything was hunky dory =D
EDIT: also, it sounds like your on a GSM PRL. this issue has been covered by many. here is a quote from damageless on the issue.
damageless said:
you need to go and set your phone to not use the gsm band. On the dialer, type in *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone information and change the set preferred network type to CDMA auto(PRL) - you must do this regardless if it shows it already.

when you go into phone info, it will show that its set to CDMA auto(prl), but its just a graphical bug, if you try and change it, it will force close, and when the app recovers you will see it set to GMS auto(PRL). Just set it back to CDMA auto(prl).
Good luck =D
The sprint RUU actually wont fix the issue, I work at a service center and saw 4 phones with the same issue today. All had the sprint official 2.1 update.
To fix the issue you need the PRL flashed over the wire, unfortunatley the only way I know how to do this is with the software we use at my store. Ask your local service center to just flash the prl.
I nadroid to a previous version still was in digital roaming tried a prl finally it worked 60665
Usually just hitting Update PRL over and over fixes it.
I did but it kept FC and would just sit on the screen.

[Q] Reverting back to standard PRL?

I'm having a lot of NO SIM inserted problems, if I bring my phone to the Sprint store will they try and update PRL? I'm currently on the corporate PRL, what will happen if they do a data profile update through the phone, will it give an error message?
Pretty sure that if you just update your profile and prl before you go into the store then you shouldn't have a problem. You can do this through settings, but I'm sure you know that since you changed the prl to a corporate one manually (?). I'd think the bigger issue would be if you are showing s-off or not.
Sent from my rooted & s-off'd Sprint HTC One, powered by Android OS ?
I seriously don't think they would notice that you're on a corporate prl if that's what youre worried about. If they do a prl update it will simply revert to your normal prl no harm no foul. I could definitely see some of the sprint techs blaming root or s-off as the culprit though.

Not getting OTA update notifications?

Hey all-
I was messing around with my phone today, a T-mobile s6 edge 128 gb, when I noticed in my settings-> about phone, the top option says download software manually. I thought that was weird as it used to notify me when an OTA update was available and it's been long minute since I received one. So I checked for one, and it found one, downloaded it and installed it. Then it checked again, found another, and installed it. I'm now updated to the latest firmware, November 2016. But why did it stop checking automatically and how do I change it back? Is it the scheduler option right below it? Even when I turn that on, that first option still says download updates manually. I just want to be notified when there's an OTA update without having to check, like it does on all my other Android devices and used to on my phone. Appreciate any advice.

VoLTE? for someone with 11e installed.

Just go off the phone with TMO support and they didn't have a direct answer, I have a stock device with the latest update 11e installed that added the digits functionality baked in. The issue I have is that regardless of being on a call or not, I cannot disable VoLTE in the settings, it's there, looks like it's on, but the option is greyed out.
I've reset the device and had the same issue before any changes were made or apps installed. Also, I used LG Bridge to update as I always do, I rather have the rom installed/updated as a whole and not patched.
If you have a stock device with the latest update can you go to setting/call and see if you can disable VoLTE.
My device allows me to turn VoLTE on and off, and I am on the latest stock 11e update.
thanks for the info swan3983!
Looks like it was a SIM card issue, I continued troubleshooting it, after putting in my duplicate line (digits) sim into my G6 it worked as it should. I just got off the phone with support and had them set up a new SIM that I had not used and it's working as expected.
