How much android system you had before and how much you have now ?
Whats your firmware
Was around the same before, but over a 2 hour period instead of a 9 and half hour one. I'm on the latest firmware, APG1.

What is the percentage.?
That period it was in standby ou using the phone?
It was around 94%. Browsed the Web for around 15 minutes then backed up some photos before bed, then let the phone sit over night. Before the tweak, Android System would ALWAYS be at the top of battery usage no matter what I did.
Here is my usage from the last hour. Basically been using the phone non stop, web browsing and listening to podcasts via Pocket Casts:

Even if there is no battery improvement, disabling CarrierIQ is something that pretty much everyone should do since it is just gathering information about your usage without your permission. Thanks for pointing this out.
I don't see a "Manage" button for Android System in EZ Package Disabler. Disabler is version 2.3.2 and the line for services count isn't even shown for Android System. Are you on an older version?

I've had relatively poor battery life as well... I went 12 hours with a recharge from 10 to 50% again before it completely drained...
I'm not impressed with the battery on this phone but everything else has been great.
... I'm starting to think I'll have to make my own Qi Charger for pant pockets... embed it in your pocket so whenever the phone is there it's charging. I'm seriously considering trying this to see if it's possible... if so, i'm doing it for sure. Or a carrying case with an extra battery and a Qi Charger... or a Qi charger dock for the car... you get the idea. Wireless charging shouldn't be the fix for poor battery life, but it definitely could help it.

Task managers mess around with Android's memory management and it is fairly well known that they usually end up draining more battery than they save. Try getting rid of it.
Also other people are reporting that the battery life gets better after a few days of using. Is yours really new? Im not sure how true that is btw.
Probably a combination of that task killer and a wake lock.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Install Franco's kernel. Battery life has been outstanding (1 Gmail account sync, 1 Exchange account sync, maybe 30 minutes of calls and 100+ texts a day; I have location services & Google Now enabled as well). I average 3+ hours screen on time and I normally end the day around 30% ...
I would stay away from task managers ... it's not that I know what's going on more than you or anyone else, but well established and respected kernel developers recommend against it. If these guys don't know then I honestly don't know who else does ...

Yep...20-30 minutes won't tell the tale. I'd also recommend Brightness Toggle widget...allows a few extra steps (16 total, IIRC) of brightness control over stock, to fine tune screen brightness, often another culprit.

Now I'm running the latest version of Rapture ultimate variant on 5.0.1, the first night after installing this rom I was at 100% didn't charge once throughout the whole day, screen was #1 on battery drainage, had a decent SOT of 6 hours and 30 minutes I believe that's good but you tell me [emoji14], anyways the following days it's been android system with an average of 24% it's really starting to annoy me as its brought down my screen time a bit here's some pics of my states an what's android system running, I have several things frozen as well that are listed why there listed idk but several are frozen! If you know of any fixes to solve android system from being such a high usage please let me know! Thanks!

Stock battery app doesn't provide enough information to solve the problem. Apps such as Wakelock Detector are needed to drill down to meaningful information. There are also lots of existing threads that provide great instructions on how to improve battery life.

It's going absolutely great here's an example of how my battery had been since I did that list
as for ims service and the others that's for instant message service so if you text it would affect your texting an to my understanding would force crash whenever you try to text now I haven't disabled it but I'll go ahead an do that for you an let you know if I am still able to text people or not

Youtube Official app isn't a battery hog at the first place.
The best alternate would be the browser but you won't have HD video in a browser (unless you switch to desktop mode).
Side Note: Firefox allows background play on youtube.

If you use YouTube, it will use battery. It's as simple as that.
12-13% per hour youtube means 7 hours non-stop youtube play until the battery is fully out...means 7 hours sot...

I'm a big fan of NewPipe. It's not available in the Play Store so you'll either have to install it with F-Droid or download the .apk from the F-Droid site.
I used to be a fan of New Pipe as well, until I have found YouTube Music. You can get it straight from XDA forums or install XDA Labs and get the app from there. In my opinion I think is the best apk for YouTube background, stream or download.

Might be something that have failed like a sync with Samsung Cloud or a site that keep sending notifications ?
For me, at least, browsers in general take by far the most of battery consumption. Maybe just the nature of the beast. I didn't measure but not such a big jump as on yours.

Hello guys!
I have battery drain problems and I can't find the reason if it's causing it an app or just bad radio signal. Overnight my phone loses about 5-6% with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Data, location switched off in about 6 hours of sleep. Same drain had it with airplane mode enabled in some occasions.
A detail I want to report, is that I have closed background data for all of my apps, except those apps I want to have notifications, such as Viber, Telegram, Gmail, Google, Calendar, Tapatalk, YouTube etc. Closing background data it's a method I use (right or wrong) to all of my previous phones and I thought it would be helpful with battery drain issues.
I'm on Android 11 but same thing happened with Α10 too. I use 90Hz refresh rate, no motion sense at all. No Root or unlocked bootloader. Radio signal ranges about -87dBm to -90dBm and I uninstalled all of my apps to find the problem. What could it be;

It would be better to save a dump and post it in the BBS thread. There are a lot of people who have been analyzing dumps for years there. Make sure to make it for at least 6 hours with less than 1 minute screen on time.
I would strongly advise against using Servicely and Naptime. They are not needed on newish phones and OSs and can cause more harm than good.
Btw, it sounds like you're getting less than 1%/hr idle drain, which isn't that bad.

Instructions are in the OP of that thread.
Basically have your phone charged to around 90% or so (can be less but don't charge it to 100%), unplug and immediately turn off your screen. Don't use the phone for 6 hours (so best to do it overnight). After at least 6 hours turn your screen on and go into BBS and save a dump file (it's under the share icon and will be saved in Internal storage>Android/data/com.asksven.betterbatterystats/files/download). Or if easier you can share it to a place where you can retrieve it. Then post that dump file in the thread.
