Q/ Go back to stock rom htc 626s metro - Desire 626 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello fellows, so the back story of my problem is that I tried to root my phone, everything was going fine until the su update, after the system rebooted it just kept rebooting at the htc logo, after searching for a solution I found the Sandix AdvanceStock 626 rom(tried 2 other roms but didnt boot), which booted the system correctly but the WIFI didnt turn on, tried the boot.img backup of Sandix but the system kept rebooting at the htc logo again.
Also i already tried the RUU but keeps showing a 155 error(already relocked and s-on) and sometimes 120 for battery(it's 100% charged), also download a 0PM9IMG and the error message its FAIL19 os version in android missing.
I dont know what else I can do :/ Here's some information of my phone.

(Solved) Need help, Bricked HTC One on OTA ?

Hello,
I´m afraid I´ve bricked the HTC One
I have a S-Off and unlocked HTC one. Stock bootloader, CWM recovery.
Today the OTA 2.19.401.1 popped up, but when trying to install it, the phone just reboot, and the OTA appeared again, and again.
I guesses the problem whas the CWM recovery, so i flashed Stock recovery , and whan entered into recovery, the OTA just started to install.
Never ends... It has been installing for more than 1 hour, progress bar stuck arround 20%
I think the problem is:
Before the big OTA 2.19.401.1 (released today in my country) a small OTA (preparation for next update) also poped up, i downloaded and installed ( At this point I still had CWM). No error at any point, just like a reboot of the phone. I think the small OTA didnt install fine becouse of the CWM, then the big OTA popped up (weird because the small one did not install properly) , changed recovery because i noticed something was not going fine.
Right now, I have my HTC one on the table, with the updating screen ( green arrouws with blue phone) stuck at 20%, no progress in the last hour. The phone is hot.
Pluging the charger does nothing (does not light the led)
Trying to power off is not also possible, even trying to long press the power button for 30+ seconds does nothing.
Any ideas? :crying:

Finally I managed to reset the device by pressing VolUp + VolDown + Power for 20+ seconds.
I have entered into bootloader and factory reset the device.
It bootep then, with some errors and the rom doesnt working, but finally it was detected by the comupter and chargind, so I´m flashing right now a RUU. I guess i will have no more problems, I will confirm when is finally solved.
OK, I can breath now , Restored with RUU and now the system is running fine again, updating riht now.
Can be marked as solved.

[Q] OTA update to 4.2.2 keeps failing [FIXED]

Hi All,
The phone is currently running 4.1.2 stock ROM. I unlocked the bootloader and flashed CWMT so that I can install exhange mail no-security patch zip file. Now that 4.2.2 is available, I had to install a small patch first before the phone can download the full 4.2.2 update.
1. I tried installing the update with unlocked bootloader but the update fails, getting stuck at the update image with the progress bar only at 1/3. I had to hold down power button to reset the phone, then it boot back to the update but fails at the red triangle with exclamation mark.
2. So I went into fastboot mode and relocked by bootloader. Now showing "Tampered, relocked".
3. Tried updating again to 4.2.2 and still stuck at the same sequence in #1.
In between steps 3 and 4, I've tried several times to relock, unlock, fix partitions, clear cache, reset data, flash recovery.img etc.
4. Since I didn't do a nandroid backup of the original recovery, I downloaded from XDA a nandroid backup from another user with the same region and CID number. The version was 1.29.980.2 vs 1.29.980.17 on my original ROM.
5. Had to unlock bootloader again and reflashed CWMT to be able to do a nandroid restore. Showing "Tampered, unlocked"
6. Completed a nandroid restore, it was successful. I was able to boot into ROM.
7. Relocked bootloader; now showing "Tampered, Relocked, Security Warning"
8. Tried to install OTA update again and this time the phone just boots into Fastboot and nothing else happens.
I can't find a stock RUU for Aust Unbranded version yet. So my only option to get stock Sense 4.2.2 is via OTA. I would like to stay on stock Sense ROM.
Any suggestions to fix the problem I'm having is much appreciated.

You have to flash stock recovery.... OTA's will not install if you have a custom recovery
Finally fixed the problem. Turns out the stock recovery image from the nandroid backup I downloaded might have something to do with failing. I tried another stock recovery image from here and I was able to finish the upgrade but not without having to manually reboot the phone once, fortunately the install just continued from where it last stopped. Happy now

Can't s-off... bootloader 1.44 but version 4.4.2

I have unlocked and rooted my HTC One - no problem. Then I made a backup and flashed to a new ROM... before finding out that unless I s-off, it will just reboot over and over and over. Problem is that now I can't seem to s-off. I have tried:
REVONE
This gives me an error that appears to be because I have version 4.4.2 instead of 4.2.2. I have tried flashing to older ROMS (including an RUU version), but it still says 4.4.2. In there some way to flash the kernel or something?
RUMRUNNER
I am able to get this to sort of work, but the phone reboots at the same point each time, and interrupts the process.
FIREWATER
I can't even get this started because I can't get a stable boot with an internet connection... it reboots before I can get there.
RUU
I have tried to use an RUU, but I have Ubuntu (not windows), so I can't use the .exe. I can't flash the RUU (because I have to relock the bootloader), and can't seem to find a way to do this on Linux.
After a few hours a day for a week of trying different things, I am pretty comfortable with fastboot and adb, so if there is something manually I can do, I'm all for it. Otherwise, it seems that I need to revert back to stock somehow (or at least down to 4.2.2)... but I'm not having much luck.
Any ideas?

version 4.4.2
Update!
Ok - I was finally able to get s-off. I flashed to viperROM_One_v1.1.0.zip from here. That gave me an older version to work with revone. Because of the constant rebooting, I had also been trying to use revone from the recovery tool, but that doesn't work. By booting into the custom ROM and skipping everything on the setup, I was able to keep the phone one for long enough to use revone. I now have s-off!
But, I am still having trouble flashing ROMs. I jumped immediately into the lastest ViperOne ROM (6.2), and tried flashing with CWM recovery multiple times... but it would never boot. Then I tried EclipticOne (3.3), and could get to the boot animation, but then it gets stuck in a reboot cycle. I flashed the boot image from Ecliptic, but still the same thing.
I've also tried flashing an older ViperOne ROM (2.1) plus the boot.img from that one, and it just reboots over and over... never leaving the hboot screen.
At this point, I have two questions:
1) Is it a problem that my "version-main" is blank?
2) Do I need to flash/update my hboot?
Tried going back to stock, but the same thing
I have now tried going back to stock Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed_05.17.13.zip, and flashed the boot image that goes with it. This *actually* does boot up into the setup... but then reboots itself before I can complete setup. Again...
I thought this whole time that the issue was s-on (maybe it was), but its STILL happening. Any thoughts?
FIXED
It turns out that one of the first ROMs I tried was a GSM, and that messed things up. I followed this tutorial and FINALLY got it working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503646

Help. Please. M7 ota update fail after guru reset.

Hi Guys.
I really need some help here and would really appreciate it as it's driving me up the wall for the past week. And I have combed through the forum looking for a solution before posting. So here goes.
I have a One M7 running on ARHD84 with 6.13.707.1 firmware. Learning of the coming OTA update for Lollipop, I decided to return to stock the best I can S-ON. Thus my nightmare begins.
1) I did a nandroid backup restore with a file named 2014-09-15--13-39-50 KTU84L release-keys (I don't have a nandroid backup of my own). It worked fine. Then I did the OTA update (6.13.707.4). It pops an error "Variant System Version".
2) Thinking it must be the nandroid issue, I went for guru reset 3.63.707.4 ROM and it installed with stock recovery and radio. Startup okay then I did the OTA update. It installed halfway and stopped to show a red exclamation error. I hard reset the phone and it went into a bootloop. It loops at the HTC logo. I went into fastboot, flashed twrp and got my phone back with the nandroid backup.
** Stock recovery goes into black screen.
3) Tried the nandroid again. Still Variant System Version.
4) Tried a lower guru reset 2.24.707.1 and it installed with stock recovery and radio. Startup okay and did the OTA update. It installed 1/3 and went into bootloop. This time it took me many many many tries to get back into bootloader.
** Stock recovery never happens, it just goes to black screen
5) Scoured the internet, came back a little wiser and tried the gurureset 3.63.707.4 again. This time I flashed the stock recovery again just to be sure. And this time, guess what.... same thing. Installs 1/3 and goes into the red exclamation mark. Only advancement was it did not go into bootloop.

Try this TWRP backup https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/xda-developers-5233323/stock-rom-6137071-asia-twrp-backup-3430002891 do not use the modified firmwqare, it will brick your phone as your s-on.
Give up with the Guru resets, they are failing because your bootloader is too new and even the OTA cant back flash your bootloader, those OTA's will be trying to install HBOOT 1.54 or something like that.

Thanks for the reply man.
Unfortunately, that's the exact same backup I used in step 1. Get's the variant system error.

Try holding the power and volume up button down at the same time for ten seconds. Once the screen turns black, press the volume down button and the phone should reboot to the boot loader. Once there, run the RUU again.

So which version of RUU you flashed which solved the problem? I'm also having the same problem i have htc m8 Harmon kardon sprint. I tried flashing RUU_M8_WHL_L50_SENSE60_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_Harman_4.25.654.18_Radio_1.09.20.0209_NV_SPCS_1.52_003_release_446220_signed_2
But during flashing the process stuck at 25% saying
Updating system...............
It did not move further for almost 1 hour and i ended up unplugging the device. Now it has stuck in htc boot loop(though i can access the bootloader and fastboot). Please tell me which version should i flash in order to make it work again like normal.
Phone is bootloader "locked", and S-on. Please i'm waiting for your kind support
