unenrolled from Nougat beta - got Error with dead android - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so i unenrolled Nexux 6 from Nougat beta, to go back to 6.0.1
it received it updated, downloaded the file, applied it, then i got the dead android logo.
error appears to be "Error in @/cache/recovery/block.map (status 7)"
so what can i do now?
i'm not sure which of the many 6.0.1 factory images is the one for my device.
I assume it's MMB30K, but maybe the device received the wrong update which made it fail?

Did you have twrp or a custom kernel?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

no, it was 100% stock.
never rooted.

Are you unlocked?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

the bootloader is currently unlocked

Put the phone in bootloader and flash the image.

which image ?

You are going to have to download the newest 6.0.1 image and flash that while in your bootloader, flashing them individually, flash them all except user data. Do you know how to do that?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

yes, but as i mentioned earlier
which of the many 6.0.1 images is the one i need to use?
this is UK sim-free 32Gb Nexus 6

MOB30w for shamu
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

so not MMB30K then? which is what seems to have been sent to the device during the OTA downgrade?

Pit whichever you like mob30w is the newest
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

i just wasn't sure if different versions of the device got different builds.
ie US vs european etc etc

Ever since 6.0 they are all unified
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

Did you get back up and running?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app

yes it's all sorted now.
flashed MMB30K and it's back on 6.0.1 now.
dunno why the OTA downgrade failed.

Error 7 is a cache issue. It wouldn't read and write the emmc so did you try flashing a radio?

He's already back up and running

I think my Tab is bricked...

So, it's stuck on this screen:

I cannot get into Download Mode. It won't connect to Kies. Won't leave this screen. I'm assuming it's bricked. I'd love to be wrong and someone could tell me something can be done aside from a JTAG.
That is also a download mode.
Use Odin to flash a stock rom.
You can try the method in my signature.

Well, I flashed it and now it's stuck on, what seems like, an infinite loop of the Samsung logo...
Maybe there was another problem that cause that failure in the first place.

I can get into the normal Download Mode now. Does that help me at all? lol
Have you ever heard of this "loop" before?
Anyone have any idea how I can get past this infinite Samsung loop now? I can get in download mode but I guess I need something different to flash? Surely someone has encountered this?
You could try to proceed with the overcome instruction. And use it to flash, say Omnirom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634278
Download Omnirom and it's recommended gapps and superSU
Use odin to flash overcome kernel 4.0 tar
Once you have it successfully installed, just immediately power off the tab (instead of letting the kernel do its file system conversion).
Then boot to cwm recovery and flash Omnirom zip.
Then flash gapps.
Then flash superSU.
See if that gets you anywhere.

OK! I finally found a ROM that works. Got it back up to 4.2.2 where I left off. Now I'm stuck with the original problem. It should be in a new thread...

Can't get WiFi calling to work

I can't get WiFi calling to work what so ever. I've tried different ROMs etc rebooting, resetting different routers, won't work. I have WiFi calling on and set to preferred.
I am on T-Mobile, and using lmy28e
Sent from my SM-T320 using Tapatalk
What kernel?
Stock. I got it to work. No idea what was wrong. I read around and most people say if your boot.img file is modified WiFi calling won't work. A few others said it had to do with the radio.
So I downloaded the factory image extracted the needed files and flashed boot.img, the radio and cache.img . rebooted and it works right away .

I had the same issue and reflashing those 3 img also cleared it up. Good to know if it happens in the future. I'm not sure what could have corrupted those.

Is my P9 too unique? Can't find details on it.

So, I wanted to put 7 on my p9, looked at a video saying I should download the stock rom first, but couldn't find my build number.
I then went to google my build number, but it come back with ZERO results! What the heck am I to do? I guess i'll never get an update now. (was willing to pay for it too)

Can't fknd that either, mine is truly unique, sadly.
Please post here a screenshot of your screen

EVA-L09 is the model number of the phone. C555 is the region code. B160 is the build number of the stock official rom firmware.
I'm sure Samsung uses something very similar for the naming scheme.

would I be able to wipe it or use an American one or something? I only want 7.0 lol I even offered to pay them
I've got the same version as this. I'm on 3 in the UK, and got my handset directly from a 3 store. Having the same problem. I googled how to manually update, and downloaded the required file, unzipped, and copied over to my sd card, creating a dload folder. I got the update started, but it failed at 37%.

This should do the trick.

Android Pay on latest B133

Just a heads up for anyone who uses Android Pay that (at least for me) it doesn't work on the latest release - VKY-L09C432B133.
I had this once before on my P9+, the release probably needs verified before it gets the green light. If it starts working I'll update.

Have you forced the update or normal ota?
If you updated manually do you have uncertified in play store settings?

It was a FunkyHuawei update. Play Store is fine, but I get the result below. As mentioned I've seen this before and it was resolved a week or so later once, I believe, the update is okayed by Google.

What's funky huawei? Third party firmware finder?
I'm just wondering when the official ota is going to come to my p10 plus? Other countries seem to have b133 but I'm still at b120.

Yes it's a paid service, but you can update for free using this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108/page55
Or firmware finder from playstore.
