Its not letting me receive any calls. Because by the time I press "Accept" it becomes unresponsive for like a couple of mins and the call has already ended.
Its taking forever to load any apps too. It takes forever to open the Programs folder or the Settings folder. Everything takes like a min on the phone now.
I don't know what has caused this. It was working fine yesterday. I haven't installed any new apps either.
I have the HTC stock ROM downloaded from this website. I've had it installed for a few months now without a problem.
Can someone please help me in understanding whats causing this?
I've restarted the phone a few times now. The boot time is around 15 mins for some reason. It stays at the Window Mobile 6 screen for 15 mins before starting up.
Hard reset anyone?
Is that the only solution?
I'm sick of this and slowing turning anti-windows.
Some times things need to be refreshed. Don't be scared, it will be ok.

Somebody please explain to us that this slowness/unresponsiveness is unique for the TYTN II?! Should I expect the same from a HTC Touch or a Samsung?

Have you, by chance, been experimenting with network folders? I saw something similar with the file explorer, after I had connected to a network drive at home. It was trying to reconnect while I was away from the home network.
You should expect it from any electronic device like this. Maybe not 100% of the time and not 100% of them, but things like this do happen. There are too many things trying to live in harmony and not step on each others feet for there to never be a problem.
Do a hard reset and see what happens. If it doesn't solve your problem then it's time to look into a warranty claim. If you can use the phone, just backup your numbers and then reset. It's really easy and doesn't take much time to get things back to normal.

I didn't touch any of the system folders. In fact, nothing was done to the phone since yesterday except send/receive phone calls and play Solitaire.
If you don't reset it then don't complain.

I've done this (hard reset) before and I have every right to complain. Not trying to be a troll, but sometimes I feel I should've bought an iP***e instead.
Right now I'm trying to take a backup of my files on the Storage card, but Total Commander is unresponsive (trying to copy 5 files for the past 30 mins).
I know I'll eventually hard reset this thing, but I'm just pissed right now.
So you don't think people have to hard reset their iphones? I laugh in your general direction.
If you can't make or receive calls, send or receive text messages, or access email or the web
Check the cell signal indicator in the status bar at the top of the screen. If there are no bars, or if it says "No service," try moving to a different location. If you're indoors, try going outdoors or moving closer to a window.
Check to make sure you’re in an area with network coverage. Go to your carrier's website to see network coverage areas.
Make sure airplane mode isn't on. From the Home screen choose Settings, then turn Airplane Mode off.
If that doesn't work, turn airplane mode on, wait 15 seconds, then turn airplane mode off again.
Make sure to include an area code for every phone number in your contacts list that you use to send or receive text messages.
If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: If you enter the SIM PIN incorrectly three times, you may need to contact your carrier for a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) to enable your SIM card again.
If that doesn't work, there may be an issue with your wireless service. Call your carrier or go to your carrier's website.
If that doesn't work, restore the iPhone software. See this document or see "Updating and Restoring iPhone Software" in the iPhone User's Guide.

Come on now. You know what I meant. I wasn't trying to imply that at all. I was just venting. Sorry if it offended anyone.
is it possible that its just having trouble reading the sd card (if you have one?) maybe the file system is becoming corrupt on the card and its constantly trying to read it?..

I thought about this. I tried using the phone without the SD card. But the behavious was the same. Currently I'm hard resetting it
So how did it go?
Just finished hard resetting it. The phone works now. Fortunately I had an export of my contacts in an XML file (using a .NET utility that I wrote.) Unfortunately, I haven't written the import part of the utility yet
The phone works, but my docs and pics are gone. The SD card works fine. Thanks for your help guys.
Outlook works nice for backing up contacts and there is also a program you run from your phone that does the same thing. I think it's PIM backup
use cleartemp from now on to clear unneeded items on every start up
it is pim back up
its the BEST

I have been having issues with my Hero lately, and going through the Tech Support/Store/Retention phone transfers has made me pretty pissed off. (I was hung up on by 2 supervisors, and I was not even talking to him angrily) I hope that one of you guys who I helped out at one point or another with anything could help me out with my phone issues and figure out where to go from here with my phone/account.
If you are a rep/tech from Sprint, I would really appreciate a reply or pm. Thanks in advance guys
Dan

Yeah the hanging up thing was weird, I was talking and then all of a sudden I hear a click and the dial tone after that. I called from my corded home phone to make sure I didn't lose signal.

I don't know when you worked for Sprint but we have a "release" button to drop calls. If we hit it, we get pulled up on a report and the call is listened to see why the release button was hit I WORK for sprint

Hey, I've got problems if any Sprint Techie would please listen to me!!! I've asked for help from a couple of developers and all I get is ignored and told, "Sorry dude."
Two weeks ago, I themed using MM instead of the usual signed zips. Since then, my phone completely freezes/black screen every single time I get an incoming call, requiring me to pull the battery and hard reboot. No buttons work/black frozen screen until I fully reboot. Everything else works perfectly except for incoming calls. I can't have this!
I pulled a logcat (found nothing), RUU'd, re-rooted, reflashed the ROM (Flipz 2.1d), wiped the SD, etc. Still happens and am now so ticked I'm about to auction this POS and get me the EVO too! I took it to a Corporate Sprint Store 25 miles away and after I had to show the morons where the 'on' button was on the Hero (yeah, seriously, I did), they told me I'd be without a phone til after 7/5 while they work on it, because of the holiday (I can't, I use my phone for work!!!).
All I themed was a revised rosie killing off the top-bar clock & battery signal meter, and another hiding the text under homepage apps.
WTH??? Could someone please, please help?

I don't think theming with metamorph could potentially harm your phone in a way that an RUU couldn't correct. Have you used an overclocked kernel or done anything that could potentially break your phone's hardware? If it happens when you receive an incoming call, I'd tend to think there's something going on with the cellular radio. Do you have any issues with data connection or receiving SMS? Any other issues at all?
Nope, absolutely no other issues at all. Data, SMS, all fine.

Does it happen EVERY time you get a call or with less frequency? Are you using a non-standard PRL? I suppose there could be 100000 different things making your phone do that, but I just don't see MM doing it.
Then again I've been wrong before.
No, when I have it plugged in on USB or straight charger, I'll occassionally get the incoming call. Not always, but occassionally. Once today it rang through, then I got 8 lock ups, all on incoming.
But when the phone is off the charger, I won't get the call at all. It completely locks & goes black even before I know there's an incoming call. I only find out when I check the phone or hear the BT shut off in my ear. Then I'm forced to pull the charge & reboot, only finding out 5-10 min later that I missed a call and have a VM message.
I had to call it myself to find out that it's locking down on all incoming calls, because at first I just thought it was doing random lock ups. But, no, it's only on incoming calls.
I've had some weirdness with incoming calls recently, but that's due to forcing my clock speeds way low when the screen is off with overclock widget.
If you successfully RUU your phone and you still can't receive calls, my money is that it's busted.
Anyone else have any ideas?
I have installed the official Darky 7.0.1 ROM, with the OC/UV Charge Death fixed kernel for the past 5 days or so. it has been great. Until today when it turns out that I cannot send any texts at all.
The report on the message is "Delivery Report: Not requested".
I have looked at my APN settings and they all look the same as what is posted in the main sticky, was missing the password but that seems to make no difference.
Does anyone have any idea what is happening?
Seems like i have not sent a text since the 25th, but it should be working as I have had this ROM on since the 24th.
Any clues?
Thanks for any help.

Try this I had a problem one time when I couldn't send any messages at all and this fixed it.
push your message app
then the menu button and hit setting
go down to message center and make sure you have this +1312314810
If not put in in there then reboot

Mine was empty so I was able to put in +1312314810 without the # pound sign, but alas it did not fix it.
Is the Pound sign necessary? it kept rejecting it for me.
Thanks for the suggestion.

DITTO !! I was having the same problem. On the phone with ATT for an hour. Finally googled delivery report and found this page. Had it fixed before tier two tech support got online.
THANKS !!!!
Hey everyone,
I'm getting this error when I try to switch on my LG 4XHD.
"Security Error
Error !!! Read morningcall"
To give you a background, I actually happened to drop my phone on a very rough and uneven concrete surface, screen-first. This developed cracks on the glass, but everything else was perfectly normal (the touch sensitivity, screen, camera, etc.) so I stopped using the phone and removed the SIM card until I could get the glass replaced. But a few days ago I switched it on (without the SIM card) just to make sure everything was still OK and also turned on the WiFi. I then went into Google Chrome and tried to open google.com, but my phone hung up, so I had to remove the battery and start the phone again, and that is when I started getting this error. Since then I've been getting this error whenever I try to switch on the phone and it does'nt get past that, not even allowing me to switch it off.
There is a lot of important data in the internal storage of which I would like to take a backup before doing anything.
Can someone please help me fix my phone?
Thanks a lot for your help in advance...

One more thing that happened before it hung up is that Whatsapp gave an error saying the date was incorrect and also the Onavo data monitoring app said I used up 325% of 3G my data. Just wanted to mention these in case there are any known bugs related to these.

I think you would not be able to make any backup now ( I personally had this morning call problem as well but it was because of some other problems) the only thing that you can do is restart in software update mode and re flash with LG Flash Tool. You can find the thread named under "Rollback to ICS by SnXo.
I hope it can help you and don't forget to thank him for his post.

Sad to know I cant backup my files now. But, nevertheless, thanks a lot for the reply and suggestion...
I'm not a noob by any means. I've done all the normal troubleshooting. I've looked for other similar topics and none exist for this phone. I've tried everything that I can think. Having said that, please excuse me if i missed anything.
Basically, my issue is that I can't accept 95% of my incoming calls. I try to.... And the call hangs up when I press answer. I have the regular stock google dialer. I'm stock but rooted and unencrypted. I realize this may have to do with LTE still being on and not H+ but it's really annoying. It does switch to H+ but still hangs up.
I tried a few custom ROMs and the issue still exists. I've ensured that notifications are checked in the dialer app.
Someone please help me. Maybe I'm missing something simple. It's really annoying not being able to accept a call and having to call people back for every call received.
Please and thanks
And now I've officially tried EVERY ROM for this phone and still.... Can't answer incoming calls. Ugh. Someone please help
Have you tried updating your radio? Have you tried setting your phone in non-LTE so at most it only utilizes H+/H/3G?
Have you cleared cache and tried it in safe mode?
@zephiK thank you for the ideas. Flashed the new radio from your thread... Issue still persists. I haven't gone to just 3g yet because I use my phone a lot for work (law enforcement) and need the LTE speed when identifying people
Edit: tried using 3g and 2g anyways.... Still hangs up whenever I answer incoming calls. Ugh

I have cleared both cache and dalvik cache. I can't get safe mode to work..... I'm using liquid smooth at the moment and when holding power off it doesn't show the option for safe mode
Well I figured out holding reboot gives the safe boot option. My phone bootlooped. I'm going to have to totally undo everything on my phone. Lock and unroot my phone. Then I'll start over using only stock without unlocking or rooting first then continue this trouble shoot.
If anyone can think of anything else please let me know thank you and merry Christmas
I had the same issue with mine. I thought I was going crazy. Hope you get it worked out. I sent mine back to Motorola yesterday for a refund.
Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
Update : Solved....
I wiped everything and started over. I flashed stock and went into safe mode. Calls worked. So it was easy to figure out... It was a downloaded app. A call blocker that was blocking everything instead of just the calls it was supposed to.
Thank you to those who offered opinions, suggestions, and comments
I had the same issue with the N5 on att. Was rooted and used a tool that opened a Sprint "only" service menu. Played with a setting and boom, i had voice. Data worked no problem throughout this ordeal.
Have the same problem with a Nexus 6, suddenly the phone did not show up any incoming call screen/window or way to slide out to answer an incoming call. It rings but there is not way to answer the call, even trying to go to the task bar and see if there is a window up there to answer it, no notification or window to press and answer.
This phone is not rooted nor have an application to block calls. it is with lollipop 5.01.
Any ways to solve this horrible bug? This bug is driving me nuts.
