[Q] How to change screen area partially not working screen.

Dear members,
I just dropped my mi3, now cpacitive buttons are not working and 1cm of screen from bottom is not recognising touch. rest everything is working good.
so now to save me can some one help how to change the screen area where the touch works. Activated on screen buttons, it is unusable since the lower part 1cm of screen not working.
So please suggest how can i change the screen area, i am ready to use any custom stable roms.

Exactly same thing happened with me , touch buttons not working and bottom 2 cms not responding . Can you tell me how are you getting it fixed?? I am from India and here the service centers are telling me that I might need to wait for 2 months , and the price is 6800!!.
I am thinking about fixing the screen myself ( already ordered the screen online ) .

Knock on feature doesn't work if phone is on standby/sleep

I can wake my G4 with my knock code but it doesn't work if the screen is turned off after a certain amount of time (maybe 15-20 mins or so). I have to use the power button to wake the phone. I'm guessing the knock code doesn't work if the phone goes to standby/sleep? How do I fix this?

I never really had an issue when I used it. I just double tapped my screen and used my knock code and it worked perfect

You can also knock(tap) your unlock code when the screen is off and it will unlock the device to the homescreen.... Works like a charm everytime!!

Agree with the previous user. Just tap the knock code while device is in stand by mode and phone goes straight to start screen - works without issues. Try disabling the knock code lock(just switch back to swipe), restarting the phone, set lock code again and see if it started to work properly.

Edit:
found the cause, the tempered glass screen protector was impeding the sensor. I replaced it with one that didn't block the sensor and it's working fine.

LG G Flex - Touch Screen partial working.

Hello xda, i just bought this LG G Flex D955 which the touch screen is partial working, the lower touch screen (back/mannage apps , tabs) and a part from the middle of the screen, and has some tiny black spots on the edge of the screen which i had on other phones but touch screen worked perfectly. The glass is not cracked/scratched in any way, it doesn't seem that it was dropped (too bad) cause the edges looks good... the phone looks 9.5/10, the guy that sold it to me told me that the problem came "when he updated the android", maybe it's true, any sollutions? it has android 4.4.2, and i used it for 2 days, works like a charm...tried to bend it, push on the screen and the edges....no help/.
I bought it as broken, really wanna fix it without buying a new display any help? at least a website where i can buy a digitizer+glass without display :?

Ghost Touch in Moto G 2014

So, as the title says, I'm having a lot of troubles with ghost touch in my Moto G. Is there any chance to calibrate the touch screen? I remember that I can do that on older phones, but didn't find the option anywhere.
If it helps in anyway, it started several days after it fell off and the screen got broken.
I activated the developer settings and the option that shows the touchs over the screen (sometimes are over six!) and what I do to make it work is putting my hand over the screen and then I unlock it, it kinda "calibrate" the screen in a rusty way.

How to unlock SIM code without see anything in the screen?

Hi, i can turn on my phone but the screen does not working very good, so i only see a black screen. I'm wondering if there's any way to unlock or enter the sim code without see anything in the screen..
