Hi,
since i updated my z3c to MM it shuts down the mobile data and wifi around 10min after the screen goes off. I had this issue with my new z5c also is this a "feature" of MM and if where can i disabled it. When i want to listen to online radio the stream cuts off after this time and only after i activate the screen again it will start then again. Factory reset did't help either.
Maybe it's doze affecting your streaming app. You could try whitelisting it under Settings -> Battery -> ... -> Batteryoptimization.

My rooted NC 1.1 has stopped reconnecting automatically to my wifi network after sleep. It had been working fine for a while so I am not sure what changed. To get it to reconnect I either need to toggle the wifi on/off or select the network using wifi settings. After that it is fine. If I just put it to sleep and turn it back on after a minute or so it connects fine. The problem occurs after several minutes (say 10) of sleep.
I have deleted all my network connections, rebooted and then connected to my network with no change. Again this had been working fine in its current state.
I then reimaged it to a known working 1.1 image using CWR but the wifi issue remains.
This is more nuisance then anything else but it sure is annoying.
Look forward to any suggestions since I dont know what else to try.

same problem here, sometimes it works but after waiting too long it doesn't reconnect. I think after being asleep so long it just fails to refresh/rescan. Kind of silly they dont have a rescan/refresh button in the wifi settings...
You can try going into Settings/Wireless/Wifi Settings/hit the menu again and go to Advanced, set the sleep option to Never. This helps but it still shuts off the wifi after being locked for a few minutes.
The fix I use is called "SoftLocker Free" in the market. This basically prevents it from sleeping, but still allows the screen to turn off. It draws more power from the battery since the wifi stays on, but I've had good luck with it.
Strange question, but do you have AT&T? I've seen a ton of folks with non-rooted nooks have this issue on the official Barnes and Noble forum, all with Uverse.
No i am not using att.
Thanks for the tips so far.

ZTE blade has a similar issue, there's a couple of workarounds.
1. Keep the device awake when screen is off (holds wifi connection but uses battery power)
2. Automatically toggle wifi when you turn the screen back on.
I've made an app that does (1.) when you leave wifi on and turn the screen off. (similar to softlocker, but it automatically grabs the lock when wifi is left on and has other features). Search for "Advanced wifi lock"
If you want (2.) grab "Blade wifi fix".
This seems to be common among Android devices judging by the sheer volume of WiFi fix and Wifi lock applications in the market. Now, we just have to figure out which one works better with NookColor. Free would be better of course
Mine does it as well - WiFi on after waking up. Can stay awake for 10 minutes not connecting, bus as soon as I'll go to wireless settings, I can see it obtaining IP immediately. I also noticed it goes away from time to time and comes back by itself.
So turned on stamina and have no apps in the exception list, it does not appear to be turning off my data nor my wifi when the screen is off? Also I often get an error Photo Analyzer has stopped working when i turn on the phone. How do i fix these issues? I am on newest stock firmware and am rooted.
Wifi and data is Just completly sleeped. Wifi dont drain battery when screen is locked +1 minute. Sorry for bad English.
Yes after a minute of screen off they are prevented from downloading/uploading data, which is the thing that drains battery, maintaining the connection means you typically get to use the internet immediate when you activate the phone again (no logging on etc.)
Why individual apps cause an error message isn’t really answerable – it happens from time to time, sometimes the app’s developers have made a mistake with an update, sometimes if you restore an app from a back up it doesn’t install properly, there are many other reasons too. Try clearing the data in the app, try re-installing it, try clearing the cache and the dalvik cache, try fixing permissions.
I’ve found clearing the data works the most often, not always – I usually get app errors like this after installing a mod/rom.

Setttings -> wifi -> menu/options from bottom right -> advanced -> Change Keep wi-fi on during sleep -> only on charge/never.
Hi!
Since last 2 weeks I'm suddenly experiencing weird problem without making any changes in the phone.
The problem:
When enabling wifi it freezes in wifi settings page (whole Settings app is freezing and needs restart). Not displaying list, just "enabling wifi..." message and app freezes in that moment. Waiting very long dosen't help. Phone is draining battery incredibly fast in that condition.
1. Switching Wifi On/Off - works.
2. when starting the phone - sometimes wifi starts and works,
3. when loosing wifi signal of connected network (going from place to place) - always wifi freezes and stopps to work.
I've done factory reset, cache format, I'm using CM 10.2-201312221-NIGHTLY now and before I've used stable cm-10.1.3. No difference. Is there a way I can solve or debug the issue?
Thank you very much for help!
I seem to be having an intermittent problem with notifications on my new Moto G, when using the device and a notification comes through everything works 100%, however I sleep the device by tapping the power button as you do, occasionally notifications will not come through and then I tap the power button and the phone buzzes and the notification light starts flashing like they just came through at that second (when the time on the notification shows as X minuets previous).
I can't seem to replicate this in any fashion, it seems completely random and effects all types of notification, Gmail, WhatsApp and also the Ringer from Android Device Manager.
The Ringer from Android Device Manager is where I first confirmed the problem, I was playing with the Android Device Manager locating my phone which was sleeping right next to me, it located it fine so I hit ring and it said 'successful' or words to that effect, but the device was not ringing at all, picked up the phone and woke it, it immediately started ringing. I tried it a 2nd time and the same thing happened again, the 3rd time it worked as designed.
I've tried restarting the phone and clearing the data of effected apps, but neither worked, a reset of the device is the next logical step but I would like to hear if anyone else has this problem or has any other solutions.
This is happening when the device is connected to WiFi (even while sleeping) with the mobile data either enabled or disabled, I have not tried what happens if WiFi is not turned on, because when I'm at home I want it to use WiFi.
TLDR: sometimes by random I don't get notifications until I manually wake the device when they did actually come through X minutes previous it just didn't tell me.
Try resetting it! I never had such a problem

Ok will do, is the 'Factory Reset' option in the menu sufficient, or is there something else I should do?
Check your advance wifi settings and also check Motorola Assist just in case!

I have keep WiFi on during sleep set to Always, and Avoid Poor Connections and WiFi Optimisation both ticked everything else is off, I've never used Motorola Assist.
I'll untick Avoid Poor Connections but I doubt it could be that as I have very good WiFi signal where I am.

How about Wi-Fi optimization, its usually Checked. Uncheck it. It should work.

OK when I find out that Avoid poor connections being unticked is not working (which I've just had a notification suggesting it isn't) I'll untick WiFi optimisation, I'm hesitant to untick it right now as it says it saves battery life.
OK new development I was listening to music on the phone (the phone is sleeping) the song ended but the next one didn't start, as soon as I tapped the power button the next song started.
I'm going to try resetting the phone as soon as I get chance, I just need to use a voucher in an app first as I'd loose it otherwise.
Double post
Reset the device today, my plan was to use the Recovery but none of the options would appear it would only display the Android laying down (even when pressing buttons), so instead used the Factory Reset option in the menu, only time will tell but fingers crossed it seems to be working OK now :fingers-crossed:
So I had this before and eventually sorted it..... But now I'm back to delayed notifications a lot of the time if screen is off, usually until I open the app in the case of WhatsApp for example.
I have:
Gone through all notification settings, even enabling "priority notifications" app by app,
ensured data always on is enabled
Even used adb to disable power genie and yet I out my phone down for half hour, come back open WhatsApp bingbingbing messages come through.
I'm on 9.0.0.236
Anyone actually found a working solution to this.
Did read someone was told by Huawei to do "reset all settings" but that's seems a tad counterproductive aswell as a pain in the ass

So got it down to being a issue with closing apps in sleep as WiFi stays on, but after phone is left for 15 minutes or so got mate to WhatsApp me and only one tick until I opened app.
How can this be possible when I've gone through every conceivable power saving/battery/app control option I can find or mentioned online?
Must be a fix for this, can't just be every Huawei owner accepts no notifications lol

Reset all settings should bring the notifications back. Not factory reset just the settings! Worked for me!
Tried that, it continued, however at work today while in mobile data didn't seem to have any issues, may have been as I have a widget running for music all day that has a one hour timeout before it closes. Maybe keeps device from deep sleep?
As usual Huawei forums no help at all. Lots of people with a problem and Huawei dancing round the issue

Try to enable/disable Wi-Fi+, it works good for me, but I saw people complaining about it.
Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi -> 3 dots at the top right corner -> Settings -> Wi-Fi+
System power saving settings:
Settings -> Battery -> App launch -> Disable "Automatic management" for apps you like.
Settings -> Battery -> More battery settings -> Enable "Stay connected when device sleeps".
Data saving settings:
Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Data usage -> Data Saver -> Disable
Already done all those and more apart from wifi+ that's not an issue. It seems to be on both WiFi and mobile data. Possibly been a bit better now but hard to say if it's it's not just down to using a music app at work that's always awake, maybe preventing deep sleep.
Or just hauwei firmware takes a few days to learn regular apps to allow notifications in some super hidden menu as I have only recently forced a downgrade and rebrand of my device. Remember it did this first time I updated to pie but seemed to sort itself out

finally found someone that have same issues for 6 months!
access the *#*#426#*#* click the dots advance, click events
if there is Close err:28 things then we have same problem in wifi only,
and in advance there should be Heartbeat waiting ack alarm with minus number bug
Im on Mate 20 Pro, done anything only GCM Fix Notification on Google Play Store can fix this temporary, or switch mobile network
or just Buy another phone
This issue hasn't shown its face since 9.0.0.168 for me. Even then it was only for a few days after update. It was over zealous power and data management underneath emui
