Hi,
My device's screen is broken, it is not the screen only but something internal called "IC" I think that.
Can I access my phone's storage and copy all my files to my PC?
My device can be switched on but the screen is blank (no thing appears)
My Device is: Sony Xperia Z 3+

Hey i was wondering if there was a way i could extend the screen to another display BUT ALSO USE IT AS A TOUCH SCREEN?
YES
Provided the destination system has touch screen.
In the market is a app that connects via USB, and presents your SGT screen on the PC, usually controlled on the PC with the mouse, but if you had a touch screen PC, then your golden.
So my xperia z1, whilst in my pocket, broke as I rested a pretty heavy dumbbell on my thigh. The screen is mostly black except for some rgb pixel "stripes".
I need to recover some text documents from it but that's about it. I tried mirroring it with Vysor, but it didn't detect the phone so I suppose that USB debugging is off.
I downloaded flasthool and it detects the phone but I'm not completely sure what flashing the phone is going to do, will it wipe the files?
If it doesn't wipe document files and also enables usb debugging that would be great, but I'm not sure what it does so I don't want to take the risk yet. Can anyone shed some light on how I can retrieve those files?
Hello,
my wife's Lumia 925 fallen on the ground and got LCD and touch layer broken - the screen is black even when the phone is turned on. I am looking for some solution how to recover data from its internal memory, mainly photos and videos. The problem is that USB storage won't show up in Windows Explorer on my PC when the phone is connected until the phone is unlocked with a keylock (which I know of course). And I can't unlock it through the phone as neither LCD nor touch layer (at least to guess the position of the keypad buttons) works. Is there any way how can I unlock the phone from PC and thus get the internal storage available as an USB drive?
Many thanks.
Hello guys! Today my phone was in direct contact with the floor... It has broken screen (broken glass and black screen) and cannot be turned on. When I'm connecting phone to the PC, the diode is flashing every second, but PC doesn't see it. I want to recover all the data (if it's impossible, just a photos) is it possible to do it in home? Or even in some kind of a service? If so, what's the cost of this recovery? Never done any rooting etc.
Just have the screen replaced. Most phones will not connect to the computer via normal user methods if the screen does not work, because you have to unlock or open the screen, and also to click the selection for the type of USB connection. Even the best option under this menu, called "media transfer", does not show the entire phone. If you want to do something better then that by recovering the files instead of repairing the screen first (by taking it to repair shop), you will need to learn to use the search engine better then this.
Hi! My phone fell off recently and the screen suddenly turned black with some dead pixels coming when tapping the unlock button or the fingerprint. So the phone is working but alas the screen is not functional. I´m going to send it over to google since I have warranty over it, but I´d like to know if there´s any way to backup any files I can from it (pictures mostly, audio, video...) before I mail it off and lose it forever.
When I plug the phone to the PC with USB cable I get the usb sound and the phone seems to charge, but I cannot select USB data transfer mode. Any idea of how could I take my files? Thank you all!
Bump, Same Problem here.
Without being able to manipulate Android system via the touchscreen, the answer is unfortunately no.
That being said, since it's a Pixel, your photos should be backed up to your Google Photos account.
If you have adb already enabled on your device these might help.
