I was on Cyanogenmod 14. And while flashing updated build of CM14 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-14-0-t3458931 the recovery stuck on 'patching system image'.
Later the '/system' partition got corrupted. I had no other option than to flash a stock firmware. I tried with all stock firmwares but the problem I am facing is that both SIM cards get detected but I get 'No Service' problem on both the SIM cards. Please help. My phone is XT1068 Indian version.

I am trying to downgrade my firmware to .534 in order to root and install a modified rom. I got as far as installing dual recovery for LB having gone directly from .290 to .534 with flash tool. For whatever reason only the TWRP portion would actually install and as I needed CWM I didn't go any further. At this point I noticed that the phone function wasn't working and I was getting an "Invalid Card - No Service" message on my lock screen.
On the recommendation of some forum folk I flashed back to stock .290 which cured the sim card issue but on subsequent attempts to downgrade again (this time via .257) I continue to get the Invalid Card message on the lockscreen. All were clean flashes with a full wipe, I tried excluding the baseband on one attempt but that did not alter the result.
Has anybody encountered this before, any help would be appreciated.
after flashing .534 fw..... root it....then make TA backup.....then unlock BL.....then flash .290 fw....flash doomlord kernel....root ur fon....now u r good to flash custom rom through recovery...
Good day
I was trying to update my 2014 Moto G XT1068 from (Kitkat) 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 (Lollipop)
from following this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-lollipop-indian-ota-captured-t3002674
Now forgive cause I am new to rooting etc, when I did try and root the phone using the global firmware, my sim was disable. So I decided to use differnet firmware with resulted in sim card not getting signal. So I end up using the Brazilian update for the firmware, and ended up having the phone in AP Fastboot Flash Mode with the error is " Error Failed to Validate System Image"
I have tried using different firmware to get back the phone to work, but to no luck, I am asking what steps can I take now to try and fix my problem.
Ok, guys, since we have 5.1 firmwares with (cross)compatible modems, one can expect there will not be any new problems with "unknown baseband" issue. But it is still here with me.
My xt1095 (may be converted, I don't know how to chek it) with unlocked BL works fine with motorola original tmo_5.1 firmware and modem from retcn_5.1. But if I try to install CM12.1 (of course clean install) or any other rom based on it, I always have "unknown baseband" issue and
1) it CAN NOT be fixed only by flashing my modem backup files via fastboot.
2) it can not be fixed even if I try to restore EFS partitions from twrp backup or via any other stuff from google market.
3) manual copying partitions with /shell dd/ commands doesn't fix the issue too.
I also try to use the modem backup from my stock 5.0.2 firmware (wich I used before applying 5.1 update). Modem from 5.0.2 works fine with 5.1_tmo, but still "baseband unknown" with CM12.1. It seems that CM12.1 based roms do some "bad job" during install via twrp, or CM12.1 roms for victara on CM webpage are not compatible with my phone (what the hell!!). Last attempt was to try chineese version of mokee 5.1.1 rom (for xt1085), but the result was the same: it boots with "unknown baseband" issue and I can't fix it. I have to restore a full twrp backup finally
A little update.
I noticed a strange begaviour when I try to reboot to bootloader or recovery from reboot menu of any custom 5.1.1 rom (with "baseband unknown" issue). The screen became RED with "KERNEL PANIC DETECTED" yellow string and dumping physical memory. Simple reboot works normally (vol down + power works too). With CM12.1 based roms I tried to use Render Kernel - absoulutely the same kernel panic at reboot to bootloader. With motorola 5.1 rom I can reboot to bootloader or recovery via twrp app without any issues. Does anybody have same issues with kernel panics? And can it be the reason for unfixable "baseband unknown" issue?
now my phone lags freezes crashes reboots and does random weird s*** all the time I figured out that the files that came out on the SD card when I ran the script are from /firmware-modem/image. My phone is a mess HELLLLL LP
A folder named image came out on the SD card when I ran the unlock_N4 file. When I reflash stock Odin firmware it gave me an error message device does not have drk please indlstall drk and press any button and DMVerity verification failed when it went into recovery afterwards. The serial number is off also. Anybody know how to use fastboot with ADB to flash all the files back in????

1st why you ran Verizon bootloader to this phone? this phone has unlocked bootloader it doesnt need to be unlocked
2nd your phone partition got messed up you have to put TWRP back and then go in wipe and then you have to do file repair
3rd when you fix file then ran back the stock firmware which will fix bootloader
then go back install twrp and install custom rom with root, remember 910t, 910t3 comes with unlocked bootloaders no need to unlock them

Ih guys today i decide to install lineage os on my PRA LX-1
i've simply unlock bootloader, install twrp 3.1.1-2 from xda post, do a backup of my vodafone branded rom (cus,
vendor, product, system, boot) and flashing lineage os 14.1 (changed the filesystem of data to ext4) ofter booting everythinks works flawlessy except sim card than can connect in LTE but have signial lost every 2 minutes . I havent found a solution online about sim card problem and i decided to roll back to stock. I've formatting data in twrp in f2fs, restore backup but the problem of sim card it's persistent. I've try download the update.app form my phone extract the system boot recovery.img, flashing it from fastboot do a data factory reset from stock recovery but the rom don't boot up.Ihave retried to factory reset but stuck on 99%. After i push update.app in dload folder and do the combination keys for auto update, it says theres a proble to system go to emui.com ecc
Anyone have the same problem? please help me ( and sorry for my bad english )
EDIT: I have solved the problem, the network doesn't work with lineage os why the cus partition of my Vodafone stock rom isn't compatible. I roll back to stock and flash unbranded stock rom with root from post of haky 68 and everithing works well without problem or NFC wakeup! Thanks haky 68!
