Is there any promotion .... - T-Mobile Note 7 Questions & Answers

going with new purchases? Im stiller using Note 4 and wonder if I should wait for upcoming promotion (if any) or pull the trigger now or get Pixel phone and wait for Note 8.

Not yet, there should be one when Samsung restarts the hype back when it puts it back for sale, but since they still keep exploding, Samsung might call everything off and not bother promoting it at all

All four carriers are stopping sales of note 7, and not sure if they're going to restart it

Anyone returning?

After hearing today that the galaxy gear 2 will be released in March/April, I was thinking of returning my original gear... I got it as a gift for Christmas and have until Jan 15th to return it. I have a feeling the next one will be a lot better and don't want to be stuck with one that I can't sell for half the retail in March... Anyone have an opinion on this or thinking the same way? Just curious... Thanks.
I would not count on the next-generation coming out that quickly. Watch the CES news this week and you will see that Samsung did not announce anything, and if it is only 2 to 3 months away, why wouldn't they have?

If I had the receipt, I would return it! I got it for xmas from my parents. I'm almost certain they paid the full $300 price too. I'm not going to ask my parents to return, or exchange it though. I believe it's the thought that counts when it comes to gifts. My parents hit a home run when it came to picking this out for me. Everyone says "That watch is definitely me" because of my passion for technology and android. But in my opinion this device isn't worth the money spent on it now. I'm not going to rant negative comments about it. But thing about this. The price has drastically dropped since it was just released last year. Imagine how much it will drop when the next version comes out in a couple of months! This thing won't be worth a darn.

It was announced today by a high samsung executive. Google it. It's all over the internet. They said that the s5 and gear 2 would be announced and released like the s4 was last year. The s4 wasn't released at the CES last year either... that's how they roll with the s series.

Agree. I got it from my wife. She couldn't care less. Lol. I think I'll be returning it tomorrow and waiting for the next one. Thanks for your opionion.

I got mine for $150 so I can't complain. If the new one comes out, I'll definitely sell it and get the newer version. Although I am extremely content with this.
absolutely no need to return it. we are months away from the potential release and we don't know any details yet. when it's out i'll see the differences and then decide if it's worth upgrade. somehow i have a feeling that they will remove the camera this time..
I know once the new one comes out and the price for the original drops I'll actually buy it. I've wanted one to go with seanzscreams sky note air n3 rom for the note 2 for a few now but I'm not spending 250-300 on a watch with limited functionality and support. Once it is in the 150-200 range then it'll be worth it for a lot of people.
Did you thank your Developer today?
I have until the 17th to return mine and I think I will. After reading that the gg2 will have lots of extra features and be slimmed down its a no brainer for me.

Not planning on it. Nothing wrong with my Gear so far, and I keep saying that if my G1 still worked I'd still be using it.
Keeping mine also. With null and my note 2 on n3bula I see no reason to return. Just like I'm passing on the note 3. Maybe I'll jump at third generation and note 4. But I look at it this way. There's always going to be the next hot toy. One after another. With all the devs and their amazing work I'm very content to skip a generation. ..

I for one would be HIGHLY pissed off if Sammy came out with a Gear 2 without fulling developing the Gear 1. The Gear at it present state is nothing more than a beta product needing a lot of something else. If this is all it's going to be, I'm gonna be disappointed.
i bought it 2-3 weeks ago and have 30 days to return it. i am going to keep it. it is more than i expected from Round 1 and with NULL and now the Add On Mod i feel it was worth the $300. heck a cheap Fossil costs more than $100 just to tell you the time.
i also would LOVE for the Gear 2 to be released next month or July or asap. if its better i will buy it and sell the Gear 1.
i do not and will not get upset about buying anything electronic for like $300 and then a newer model comes out. its pointless anger and is going to happen whether i like it or not.
bring on G2
Return it.
Sit and wait.
Maybe the gear 2 is available in april.
Then sit and wait until August because it will maybe released a gear 2s.
Then wait 3-4 months for the gear 3.
Have fun waiting for everything fun in life.
Seriously. If you got one and thinking of returning it just to wait for the next generation then I think the gear 2 want live up to your expectations regarding new features.
But we Norwegians don't wait for next version because it dont kost more than filling up the car with gas 2 times.
We change phones very often, but I have to say that there isn't much difference to day when you're using 3rd party launchers and apps.
It's like getting the old phone in slightly different case with little more speed.
The only difference in new phones is that some 3rd party features are adapted into standard, but you already had it on the old phone.
The price in Norway are 390 dollar.
Maybe you can sell it here.

That is like not buying a Note 3 because the Note 4 is coming out this year.
I broke up with my girlfriend because there is a rumour that a beautiful girl is moving in next door.
The best thing is to be single when she move in.
Sitting here alone and waiting.
Hmmmm 3 months, still nothing

I just may keep mine.
It's a great device. I could see them putting in some kind of a heart monitor, or GPS, maybe a front facing camera? But I don't think you're going to get to radical with it. I'm not sure that they will put in wifi, that will chew up too much battery.
My biggest gripe with this is that it's somewhat heavy, and by the end of the day I do get a little numbness with it on the inside my wrist. Getting something that's a little later would definitely improved comfort.
So my last comment on this is that this is about evolutionary, or revolutionary. And I think the gear 1 is revolutionary! Apple probably going to put out the same crap with the same functionality and charge $500 for it. Gear2 will be evolutionary, with little improvements. Not major. Bigger Change will come in a year or two years, just my 2 cents.

Note 7 Resale Value

I have the Note 7 and i love this phone and really want to just replace it with the new Note 7 but i'm usually don't keep phones more than 1 year or maximum 2 year, and because the bad "reputation" with the recall (i don't care about that)
i'm afraid that i will not be able to sell it.
I bought the Note 7 from T-mobile with $69 + Tax and on 24 month contract.
Do you think i just need to return it and move on, or replace it ?
Also I thought to sign for "JUMP on demand" get the Note 7 and get different phone when i'm ready for it,
do you think it's worth it ?

Just return it. I have a feeling that this phone will lose it's value heavily by Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I guess is what i'm gonna do.
It's a great opportunity to get onto Jump On Demand. I was on an alternate version of Jump and was able to switch when I returned the Note 7 and freed me up to get JOD. Just note that most stores are reluctant to offer it to you. You have to say that you talked to customer service and they said you could.

If you go the 18 months of the lease, you can purchase the device at a cheap price. Example would be the Galaxy S7 Edge for $175 at the end of the lease.

AT&T Nexus 6 Insurance

I shattered my screen so I started a claim with Asurion to get it replaced. They are saying the only phone "period" that they can replace it with is flipping Samsung Galaxy S5. I tried explaining how they weren't even comparable but got shut down. What a waste of money for the last year and a half.
Anyway, has anyone else dealt with this? Anything I can do or just continue to pay the remaining $300 left on the balance and just suck it up.
Nevermind. It took a couple of phone calls but they are replacing it with a Galaxy S7. Gonna miss not having a Google phone but they killed Nexus anyway and this phone lost support as of this last update so I'd say I came out ahead on this one.
I'd argue that you didn't come out ahead at all, but are actually behind. AT&T locks their bootloaders, which means no custom ROMs at all. Naturally, if you are someone who doesn't modify the phone at all, you'll probably do just fine. Otherwise, I'd sell that thing once your contract or financing is up and get a Nexus 6P from Amazon or Swappa or bite the bullet and finance an unlocked Pixel XL from the Play Store.
Uh o. I was getting ready to replace mine from insurance for navbar screen burn. Let's hope they have Verizon models left. Defiantly wouldn't downgrade to a Samsung.

Is anyone keeping the Note7 V1 and the loaner phone?

I am thinking to keep both till Note 8, though not happy still being charged on EIP monthly for my Note 7.

I like to keep my Note 7 at least until the Galaxy 8 releases if possible but I hear T-Mobile is blocking Note 7s in New Zealand and I don't see the stopping there if their plan works out. I like to hold out for the Note 8. According to some business predictions Samsung will blow our pants off in order to make up for all the trouble and stress they caused us all.

Unfortunately yes but I already paid half because of some problems I had with the preorder before release day. Even if I returned it I wouldn't get all my money back since I used a credit card and already made some payments from the jump.

I don't know about the note 7 v1 but they are allowing you to hold on the the loaner for only 2 months . In my case an s7 edge. They said if I don't turn it in within the 2 months I will be charged for it. I can return the phone to any store.

Who's they? I still have my V2 and not planning on turning it in until at least the S8 comes out. But I wouldn't mind waiting until the Note 8 lol. I honestly think half of those burning phones were bogus claims.
My phone never heats up and runs really smooth, so unless I have to fly somewhere then this puppy is staying with me lol.

Nobody told me that I had to return loaner in two months. It was a mess then so I was told initially no timeline for that, though that was before Note V2.
I am charged for both phones' EIP, though I had a monthly credit for loaner EIP. Does anyone with Note 7 only have monthly credit for EIP? Or were you charged for EIP monthly at all?
Thanks

Samsung USA upgrade plan?

I recently purchased another Note 8 from Samsung directly, they put me on their upgrade plan. I guess this means after 12 months I can hand in my device for another newer model. I tried reading the small print, but still don't fully understand how this works. Is this a "free" service?
Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
i just did the exact same thing. i was also wondering this, i wasn't sure if they were doing what apple was as far as a new device every year
I took this right from their website.
"After 12 months, when you return your phone in good condition, you’ll have the option to upgrade early and receive credit for up to 50% of your purchase price."
I would imagine it's the same thing Apple is doing. Once you hit the 12 months and your phone is in "good" condition, which I'm sure they'll inspect and determine. You'll be eligible to upgrade to another galaxy phone.
Cheers, now I hope they accept my S7 trade in, doubt it though as it has some slight imagine retention of where the keyboard was on screen.
