Samsung Galaxy S2 NOOK

I searched throughout the entire forum and couldn't find anything on it. Has anyone tried to root a this tablet but the "NOOK" version. The only reason why I'd buy this over the original is because I'd get a pretty good discount on it. But would sort of only be interested in it if I could root it and but another rom on it. Thanks for the help.

Yes, I got one at a good price off of eBay and followed the root guide. Works great.

Pick up a Nook version as well. I flashed the optimal ROM on it. Then decided to try the stock again. I was able to use Smart Switch to reset it to stock Tab S2.

It's in the Galaxy Tab S2 Android Development area. But I've moved on to the Neked Nook, that's also in the Galaxy Tab S2 Android Development area.
Yes, I was looking at this a few months ago. Can anyone put a complete guide how to get this onto stock with or without root? (on completion.)

The Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge had root, but only on the two earliest builds of the OS. The root exploit was patched after that and because the bootloader remains locked, there is no way to root any newer builds. Verizon phones have never been root friendly. Usually very soon after root is obtained the next OTA disables root permanently.

Dead development?

Is development dead for this phone? I haven't seen many posts on xda about a possible exploit or any rooms in general for our variant in a while
Pretty sure it's dead.
Yeah I agree it's dead

It's sad how this phone didn't really have any special attributes to keep people using it like the s5. There is still devolopment from the s5 but this one is dead. Verizon needs to stop locking phones and they would have many more satisfied customers

If you want to root your phone for the sake of just having root, I won't advice you to root your phone.
