Nexus 4 stolen...

Happened in men's locker room, when I went swimming.
Already called AT&T and blocked the IMEI. O well.....too bad I can't get back my pictures/videos.

I think you should also call google so the it blocks it worlwide. Cause at&t only blocks it gor the US. Or something like that. Shame on the thief. Buy one, don't steal one.

Why these thieves failed to know that it's so stupid to steal smartphones now. What he got is basically a paperweight.

Bad luck OP. I heard a similar story a few days ago, someone nabbed an iPhone from a locker while the owner wasn't looking, luckily he had the find my iPhone app. They tracked the assh*le down a few minutes down the road from the gym. Give 'lookout' a go next time.

I'm the police, and I see it 50 times a week that someone gets their phone stolen and it sucks. I feel for you. My device is encrypted, Sim locked, and password protected and I have Cerberus on it. You can't be too careful, we have so many people getting robbed of iPhones we call it apple picking.
Cerberus is a must for any type of security on your phone. Google should buy it and make it standard.

That sucks I feel for you. But if the imei is now blocked they may end up turning it into lost and found so check there for a few days and now lesson learned and you will have backup software from now on I am sure.
Once again that sucks I hope you find it or when you sign into your new device accidently you backed up all your pics one day you had it and will get some back. Just wishful thinking

That sucks man. I'm sorry to hear it. I work out probably 6 days a week and always listen to music at a busy gym, I always use Bluetooth headset. Few times I left my nexus on a treadmill and didn't notice till my music became staticky as I've gotten far. I also always leave it by the courts when I run full court basketball, so do others. Crazy how mine hasn't been stolen yet. Knock on wood.

They'll deactivate the sim, but anyone else can pop a sim in it and use the phone. Even from AT&T.

unfortunately we live in a world of untrustworthy people. Some people have their lives on their phones, and I would be crushed if mine was stolen. I will give Cereberus a try as well. on my N4 and my N7.

They blocked the IMEI. It not longer will work with any AT&T Sim card.

even if the IMEI is on the hotlist?
I just installed Cerberus on my phone and played with it for a few minutes. Has alot of options (some arent available if the phone isn't rooted). Installing it on the tablet as well, and will put this on my recommends list to others.

You can not believe if you want. They will tell you that they will block your emei, but they won't. If it makes you feel good to believe, then believe.

That´s not true.
The IMEI will be blocked by the AT&T and the N4 will no longer work with a sim card from AT&T network.
The problem is only one, the IMEI is going to be usable for other networks.

I guess Cerburus or any other anti-theft app will get wiped when flashing a factory image including user data.

:( I was so close guys.

They have stock in the Sprint Store. I called yesterday playing dumb to see if I could get a store to sell early. I was told it would be released today. So I take my happy little but over to the Sprint Store as soon as it opens this morning. Lady at the counter tells me yes they have some in stock and yes I can purchase one. She goes back and grabs a box and brings it up to begin the purchase process.
Then a manager stops her. He informs her that they cannot sell them yet and he sends me on my sad little heartbroken way.

I was just so close and then shot down. Its like going to the Sprint Store to pick up a phone, thinking youre going to get it and then you're shot down. Theres no other way to complete the analogy because that is literally one of the worse things to possibly happen.

Do what I did and buy a black one. Since they're delayed for some unspecified amount of time, I only refresh 4-6 times a day.

When I was in support and receiving lot of random stuff for folks I found a Windows desktop widget (of all things) that worked really well. You just put in the tracking info and it would show the latest real time info in the widget and you could even click on each delivery and see a map of where the last update had come in and when on the map.
Alas, I ordered from HTC and still have no tracking info.

UPS just left.. no phone! :crying:

Just checked mine and it show's 2nd day air as well, with a scheduled delivery of Monday, 4/22.... WTF. Guess we'll see

From my experiences it's always cheaper at a Sprint Corporate store. Example:I live next to a "sprint" marked store and I was buying a note II and they wanted $799 for it.. I then found my closest sprint corporate location and bought the phone from them for $600..

Well.. i didn't pre-order my S4 from AT&T because they was already sold out. But the corporate store near me had 10+ in stock on launch day.. No crazy line like the iPhone releases, it was a popular city also. Not a hick town somewhere.
Your best bet is to call your local store Thursday or Friday to see if they will have any coming in.

Dude, WTF???!!! Where in Alaska? The store I went to in South Anchorage the guy said they would have plenty in stock. He did sound like an IBoy though, cause he was acting like the S5 was nothing compared to an Iphone 3G. I almost slapped him.

The Zeiss VR One is just a fancier Google Cardboard version and has nothing to do with the quality of the Gear VR.

Getting tired of waiting. I've had the money saved for it for a couple of weeks already. Getting tempted to just spend it on something else. There's been 0 word on the device and we're hitting the 2nd week of December.

Sounds like the guy was just pulling things out his butt. There's no indication of the exact date it will be coming out. Remember he's just a regular Samsung employee, anything he'd know would be on the internet by now.

Actually I just ordered one today at my local AT&T store. Now if you go to the AT&T website it says nothing about it. I called my local AT&T store and they had no clue but I provided the SQU# from the included pic I found while googling and it came up in there system. I had to pay in person but they let me purchase it today about 2 and a half hours ago. It did not say out of stock or anything about it being a pre-order. Hopefully this is the real deal. I have my receipt in case it changes. Hope this helps guys!

I ordered the headset and the gamepad from Samsung. If you expand the features lists it gives you coupon codes for the gamepad and the circle.

Its limited to 92k redemptions. I would assume you dont have a whole lot of time let to get in on it. You have to have the device in hand to redeem it since it requires info off the phone itself.

This is great news! Ordered one for both myself and the wife...2 years of netflix!

Huge bummer. I was really looking forward to Netflix but won't be able to get a phone till the 11th, if they have them.
