Hello Guys! This is my first post on xda, so bear with me! Link to the apk for rounded Nexus/Pixel Icons, that work with Pixel Launcher, is in the last line (copy it into your url). The method to get it working is simple and as follows;
1. Download and install the apk.
2. Once installed, go to settings>apps>Pixel Launcher>Storage>Clear Data. (NOTE: If you have installed Launcher as system, you will need to click on three dots in top right, in apps and click on show system apps)
3. And you are done!
Hope you enjoy it! and BTW for some people gmail, and play newsstand may not apply, this is something I am looking into, but help will be appreciated!

Did you follow the steps properly, try a reboot after doing those steps again, and the launcher i tested with is the one from the system dump

On my side only gmail isn't applied, which I am trying to solve, rest are ok, try clearing data again and rebooting

I edited the SystemUI apk. Check xda I believe there is another one Nexus 6p, themeing section. If not let me know

Link is not working bro
Can confirm, your port seems to work only on Nexus 6P.
On my LG G3 comes: "Cant parse app" when trying to install.

Alright after viewing newone757's thread: [Layout] Android Phone 7 (HDPI), I decided to mod some of the widgets that I use to WM7-style
So far I've modded genie widget, smooth calendar, and switchpro

Installation:
smooth calendar and switchpro
- Uninstall if you already have these apps.
- Reinstall modded apk as normal apps
- I have signed the apk so there shouldn't be any issue
with switchpro, you need to make sure you choose no background
Genie widget
With RootExplorer
- copy modded apk
- paste in system/app
- change permission of apk to rw-r--r--
- reboot phone
Using adb
Type - adb devices (See your device)
Type - adb remount
Type - adb push GenieWidget.apk /system/app/GenieWidget.apk
It's nice to see a thread covering something other than just the .psd, hehe.

Try reading it.
If you don't know how to push the widgets to your phone, this is how:
- - -
Download the Android SDK
Extract the .zip to C:\
Rename it Android
Enter the folder and setup the SDK
Download everything it asks about
"Force https..." if you can't download.
Download the widgets
Put all the .apk is one folder
Rename the folder newapp and put it in C:\Android\tools
Start CMD - type cd C:\android\tools
Type - adb devices (See your device)
Type - adb remount
Type - adb push newapp system/app
I take it this is not the genie widget ported back to 1.5?
It would be interesting to make a whole new launcher "windows phone 7" style so we can replicate the various functions of the real win phone 7 "widgets".
Sadly i'm not able to code a single line, maybe someone else can make this huge work

What about a BeautifulWidget clock+weather skin?
I have downloaded the sms unread count app. But I still get the original icon not the one that is modded. Is there something else I must do?

make sure you don't choose anything where it says custom icon....
oh and now that you have installed the apk, is the icon for that app changed?

Thanks. He says it's for GoLauncher, ADW, etc. I don't think LPP is supported yet. Prolly because LPP has its own widgets. I got the same error so had to test them on Go and ADW.

The login screen for facebook doesn't work for me. Hit login and it starts to load the facebook screen then backs out of it. Anyone else get this? Using ADW.

I'm thinking it is because there is some remains for the stock version someplace. I redid my rom with complete wipes and it works fine now.

That's weird because you think a data wipe on the program would do the trick. I just tried it and it still isn't working. Still looking...
As soon as I get caught up on all my bills I will make a donation to you. I def love the work you have done with this as well as on LPP. And maybe someday hope to see a color option for the nextang theme.

I resolved the login issue, my emulator needed to be restarted because it lost internet connection. So it wasn't the apk, not for me anyway.

I got that too. It just kept cycling between the "allow" webpage and the widget settings. I get it on the original apk too. I've only played with this thing for 2 days, so I'll have to see if I can fix it or if the dev is trying to fix it.

Two things, which may seem very stupid, your data service is working when trying to login, correct? And, try wiping data from the application then login again.
Let me know. I'm trying to fix a problem that the original dev hasn't responded to yet.
Have you ever said: "This emojis look kinda weird" or "I dont like Android's emojis"? Fear not my friend because XDA member erickr13 have created a solution for you!
This simple mod consist on changing the emojis font files of your system and replace it with the emojis seen in iOS. The installation will maximum take 4 seconds! (Based on my dual-core Galaxy Nexus)

There are two different type of screenshots. The screenshots don't have the same type of font. The most recent screenshot (Two of them) I took are those that I am showing the keyboard with the emojis on the Hangouts app. The other one was taken a long time ago but I can find the font file for you.
Specifically which one are you referring to?

I dont remember the exact name of the font, but try out "CK Sweetener Pack" which has the font I am using. The pack is an Aroma Flashable Zip so flash it in recovery. Let me know if you have issues.

This mod should work with Hangouts. However I believe that if you tap the smiley icon on the text field of Hangouts you will get Google's emojis. To get the iOS emojis invoke the smiley screen via the keyboard.

got it to work w/o root. use the app iFont Donate and just use the ttf file. works on hangouts, snapchat, my notes, instgram, my twitter timeline but for some reason it reverts back to the samsung emojis in the twitter compose box.
is there anyway you can just use the emojis and not the font? I've been using Roboto Light for some time and I feel like it better suits the 4.4 design. the font that comes w/ the ios emoji ttf files is ugly.
Missing Preview of Smileys
So from the link given above I downloaded the file under /system/fonts/AppleColorEmoji.ttf and flashed it via Philz touch recovery 6.25.0 and this is what it shows on my keyboard.Smileys Preview are missing for many but when i click on the question mark the smileys do show up in the message box .I deleted the applecoloremoji.ttf from /system/fonts on my phone,rebooted and i was able to see the default emojis that come with samsung keyboard.So anyone got any ideas why the smiley previews are missing on mine?I see a bunch of other files from the download link,would i need to get one of those as well?

Hi. I am on unofficial CM 12. The rom has it's own gallery app. You would find 'edit' option within the app. If you don't have the cm12 gallery app, I think you would be able to download it from play store as most of the cm apps are now on play store. Applied the Theme on my CM 12 OFFICIAL on my Nexus 4. Runs perfectly without no forced closing so far. Thx a lot!

Nice, thanks! Just added the Launcher and Google Search to my Mi Box and things are working well. UI navigation is smooth enough and I can appreciate all the content displayed in the launcher vs the old Android TV layout. It's not perfect but it's something new/fun and I think I'll be sticking with this over the default Launcher on the Mi Box.
Has anyone gotten the recommendations working at the bottom of the "For You" section after adding any additional APKs?
I used "Manage services" option in the new Google TV app on my Pixel but it hasn't seemed to transition over to the Mi Box yet but maybe it takes a bit and I'll need to use it for a few days.
The Google TV launcher also "crashes" after trying to select "Account Settings" as well as clicking the "wallpaper" button (in the account/settings section, top right corner) but that's minor and I would probably never use em anyway.
Any of the other dumped APKs beneficial for making the Google TV experience better on a Mi Box?
0ZFive on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/j4542m/all_of_the_apks_from_the_new_chromecast/g7q2goa) listed the APKs they were able to install but I'm not sure any would do much on the Mi Box.
I have to use this APKs to port Google TV ROM as x86 to allow to run it on a various Intel/AMD based PC.

"manage services" must correspond to a third party application.
Only a few steaming apps are identified as the source at the current time (netflix, disney, prime)

You might want to use VPN for that and connect to a Google TV-supported country like US or UK, force close Launcher X and re-open it again and viola, problem solved.
