Samsung Grand Quattro (i8552) changing the LCD - Device Repair

Hi friends!
I have 2 i8552 here. The first is with broken touchscreen and too much damages in your case and another i8552 in perfect conditions but does not starts the android.
I am trying to change the main board of the i8852 broken screen with the i8552 "bricked" but the main board of the i8552 broken screen don't show any image on the LCD of the i8552 "bricked". But the main board of the i8552 "bricked" shows the Samsung Logo in all of the LCDs.
What's happening? Have some way to "force" the i8552 broken screen to show image on the i8552 "bricked" LCD?
I don't want to change the LCDs because i can broke the touchscreen and f... everything.
Thanks!

[Q] My screen broke

It was in my pocket and I ran into something. I bought this on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XMD9I2/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Is this enough, do I need to buy a new screen AND digitizer? or is this digitizer ok?
The digitizer is the actual screen that you touch. The SLCD and/or AMOLED screen is a different screen that lies below the touchscreen. When that is cracked, colors will start to bleed and the screen will eventually turn black.
If the digitizer is cracked, sometimes it will screw up with touch inputs, but other times it will work flawlessly.
You only need to replace the one that is broken.

Cracked screen - need digitizer?

I have a Galaxy Captivate from a friend who has dropped it and shattered the screen. The bottom 4 touch buttons light up when the phone is powered on, he claims that there was a very faint image on the screen but so far it hasn't displayed anything for me.
Is it likely that a touchscreen + digitizer can fix this, or is it likely that something else is wrong with the phone? The touch buttons lead me to believe that I may be able to replace the screen + digitizer and have it work again =/
Opinions?

[i9001] Replace Display of i9001 with a Display of i9000? (not Digitizer)

hello.
i got a galalxy i9001. Due to service the Touchpanel (digitizer) is working but the display itself is not working. They won't repair it because they say the warranty of Samsung doesnt charge for this kind of malfunction. I can get a Display from a i9000 for half the money of a display from a i9001. Are they compatible?
Replacing only the display without the digitizer should be really difficult, since those parts are glued together.
The front module (display, digitizer, frame) of I9000 and I9001 should be the same, so if you can separate the parts it should work with the new display.
Though as long as the screen is not broken or the phone got wet or something like that Samsung's warranty should cover that. Maybe you got some lazy and greedy service center there :\
i have kinda the opposite problem, i have an i9000 in the shop, all smashed uop, and i have a bricked i9001 , i switch the boards round as to create one good phone, great success, except now the capacitive buttons do not work, any help?
As far as i know they are not fully compatible. Minimum the electrical connections seems to be different pinned. So for example after a change of an (complete) i9000 display to an i9001 device the automatic brightness control didn't worked....and additional that adjusting was then broken on i9000 after rechange.
So be careful or you do not mind when such functions are not working anymore.

Screen is not broken - i mean physically. Phone was in my pocket and then this (picture above)...WTF?
The digitizer is not damaged...
But the LCS screen IS broken, you must buy a new LCD screen, period.
there's a guide to do it yourself, if you want to.

replacing touchscreen lcd or just the digitizer?

hi!
the lower part of my tab doesnt seem to respond to touch.. while the screen is alright with no crack or scratches but the touch doesnt seem to work in that particular section.
now, do i need to replace the whole lcd or just the digitizer?
thanks
It all depends on whether you have the right conditions to peel the digitizer from the display and re-glue it back on. You won't always get the original digitizer with your purchase so you may encounter surprises.
It's a shame that instead of doing a little reading, you immediately start a new thread with a question, repeated many times on the Internet.
