HTC p3600 trinity boot problem

i started having this problem a month ago. after boot the PPC writes something in red and after a few seconds gets black
i recorded it so it would be clearer

i tried installing a few roms and even the original one from htc website
i would appreciate any help you can give me

Very strange. What SPL version doyou have? Have you used cooked roms? Anything else happend to the phone?

HTC trinity original ROM
Here is the original HTC Trinity ROM:

1. Press on/off button + camera button + reset (using the stylus)
2. You should now be in tricolor screen.
3. Connect the usb cable.
4. Make sure you have activesync runing.
5. Install the rom provided in the link.
In the link you will find rom+radio. (Radio version 1.20)

I habe all test: Without sim, without SD, with SD, with SIM (with SIM screen is grey)

Mine was doing this earlier
seemed that their was dirt stuck in the reset button hole causing it to stick in slightly

I got this problem too. My trinity would turn on and start to fade away. But mine was a liltle more artistic. Many times i saw a kinda round spot in the middle of the screen that become black, then half of the screen would black out and then the rest of the screen. Sometimes i even got colors.
I noticed if a had a fully charged battery the phone would work perfectly.
But most of the time it turn on, but the screen stayed black with the retro light on.
I was told to try the unbrick exploit.

I have a small problem with my htc p3600. It's not starting. It's loading only the bios but it's freezing with the screen picture and is not loading the WM 5.0 I try to change the WM5.0 with a new one but I don't have a active sync. connection.Please help

Finally, what you should do?
Since the Trinity / P3600 is getting old now, I believe more and more people are going to face this strange problem sooner or later.
So I thought I should save your time and tell you what you should do when your trinity starts behaving like what was described at the beginning of this thread.
YOU SHOULD DO NOTHING !!
THERE IS NO QUICK FIX
THERE IS NO WORKAROUND
THERE IS NO CHEAP SOLUTION
I have searched and tried everything mentioned in this forum that might slightly be related to the problem and all solutions failed.
So after days and days of experimenting, I gave up and sent my device to HTC dealer who called me few days later to tell me that the mother board needs to be replaced.
The dealer told me the cost will be around $213, but they said they are going to sent it back as it is, because they don't have that board model anymore!!.
Even if they had, for an old device like this , I don't think it worth that mush money to fix.

I resolve the problem with this : Simultnous press Power and Camera buttons and softreset, you'll got bootloader, three colors mode. Perhaps a little error message like this WLAN error but if you plug usb, it's ok.

I've had this same problem for about a year now and keep coming back to it.
Any forward momentum on solving the problem would be appreciated as I quite like this phone.
1. The phone will boot FINE without a SIM
2. It hangs like in the video (or other strange screens) as soon as I insert a SIM card (partially or fully)
3. I've tried 3 different SIM cards
4. I have no SD cards
5. I have installed 3.20.Olipro
6. An official ROM is re-installed
I must admit the phone has had a hard life (or is it just the cheap plastic coatings HTC use)

No sooner did I post this did I find a solution.
For anyone that is interested...I have managed to re-install the original HTC ROM but HAVE NOT managed to install a workable 6.5 ROM yet.
So, the answer I found was:
1. Put P3600i into bootloader mode (push camera+power+reset buttons for 2 secs and get triple colour screen)
2. Re-flash HardSPL 1.1 from my PC
3. Re-flash original HTC ROM (WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30.11_108) by agian putting P3600i into bootloader mode first
I since tried several different radio stacks but haven't noticed any difference in reception so have left the original stack on (1.46.30.11) as it gives the best phone call quality
I love the UI of the latest WM6.5 but if the P3600i doesn't run them properly I'll just have to do without.

it was working fine for me when i put a little piece of rubber between the processor and the metallic cover of it but after 3 months i have the same problem and the paper dont work anymore.... now when i press the power button the screen is black, only the backlight is working anyone have any ideas what to do?

OMG WTF, as soon as I saw this thread I switched my HTC P3600 on and it started doing it I reckon this is cursed, I will upload a video onto Youtube later and show you that is what happened.

I had this problem myself, didnt know what i was doing wrong, altho my tri color screen did this, not the boot one.
I removed memorycard and voila, everything went smoothly.

Captivate Replacment Question

I just had my captivate replaced due to the shutoff issue. The new phone does not have the standard sticker under the battery but rather a generic white sticker with little info.
This is straight frm the ATT store and does include the IMEI however it does not show the hardware version. I remember reading a few times there was something with the newer models in regards to flashing. Can any link me to the right post or give me an idea if there is anythign i neeed to be worried about.

Check to see if you can do the three button method to get into recovery mode and also check that you can get into download mode using 2-button + usb cable. If you can do that you are in good shape to the best of my knowledge. I got two replacements (same time, one mine & one wife's) and did this check and everything has been going great. We have had zero shutdowns and great GPS with stock or most of the many ROMS I have ran since the "new' phones arrived.

Yea tried those first thing. Hope this phone works out the shutdown thing was evil.

I used to have a phone like this now i moved to S3, i'm used with a lot of roms etc.. so i'm very familiar with it but my friend brought to me one what has some very strange errors ? first of all the screen didn't turn on but the phone turns on and the touch buttons on the bottom either. So we decided to use my old sgs and put the motherboard in it. Meanwhile we found out it has already opened and got a new screen ( who replaced didnt even glued the screen to the phone ) and who replaced it he succesfully broke the digitzer cable ( we have some spare parts so we can change). Anyway we gonna connect all the parts correctly and now the question. As i mentioned we put the motherboard in my old sgs it works but it have a strange problem. it can't turn on it always brings up the battery screen ( when you plug it to charger when the phone is turned off it), its like the phone starts to find out the battery percentage the little loading goes on the battery shows up and then imadeietly turns off. I can put in download mod it already got a new stock rom and if it's plugged to usb it turns on. It do this with an other battery too. So i appreciate any help and thanks anyway to reading this

Yes of course i have already change-d the kernel/rom several times like stock samsung cm9-10, and several kernels, as i mentioned i very familiar with the i9000 because i used it for two years.

I think my S4 active is hard brick

Hello!, I am new in this, but I think my S4 active At&t model (SGH-i537) is hard brick because for what i have read it has all the things a HB phone has. Although I didnt try downloding or change anything on it (I say this because everybody says that you get hardbricked when you try to install roms or chane something else of you phone). The battery was low, I didnt chager it at night so when I waked up it had already turned off (discharged).... .after that I tried to charge it, but didnt work, I tried diffrent chargers and cables and even a new battery and a complete charged one and nothing, the pc wont recognize it, and i cant get into recovery or download mode, I have tried everything, i even bought a usb jib and didnt work on it (and it was not the usb because i tried on another phone and it worked). I dont know what else to do. would It be a motherboard problem - hardware? if so, .. changing it (buying a new one) its the only solution? For what i have read they are expensive, i think it would be better to bu a new phone. please help me!!! the phone it seems like new and i can stand that it doesnt work, i used all my saving to buy it!...... :crying::crying:

Rog Phone 2 suddenly died... SuperPack Accesories are useless without it

my Rog Phone 2 is dead as well.... suddenly when i woke up in morning, it doesn't boot up.. it just shows the logo and turns off.. i am able to log in something, maybe recovery.. it has options like recovery mode, restart bootloader etc, but selecting it does nothing.. please see the attached pictures. it does get connected to the laptop and i hear the connect/disconnect sound. i showed to the authorized service center but they also weren't able to do anything. they had only opened it and looked. they hadn't tried starting it like i have attached the pictures..
other problem is that i had also bought the Superpack Suitcase which has all the accessories, the twinview dock, Kunai Gamepad, WiGig Display Dock, Mobile Desktop Dock etc... so without this phone, all that is useless.. i cant even use it with other phones... these accessories aren't used, they are still new i also checked if i could buy second hand Rog Phone 2 but i didnt find anyone selling it anywhere near me.
i dont have much experience in installing the rom and do all that stuff... once i tried with Xolo Q2000 many years back. i did installed the rom back on that but it had lost the imei number. i had tried multiple times but never got the imei back on that phone. it worked perfectly except that no sim used to work. so i am a bit afraid to fiddle with this Rog phone. other than that i have rooted few other phones using apps few years back.
i will check out the forums and see if i can install the Rom and get it working.. i feel its only a software issue as it does start, shows logo and then it doesnt start/load with the rom.. it would be helpful if you guys could advice me and give me any suggestions.. Thank You.

that's sad.. if am unable to unbrick my ROG Phone 2 then i have plans to buy ROG 7.. But what about the accessories which are still new and unused... wish if i could use them with other phones by doing some DIY modifications or something.. most importantly the desktop dock and twinview dock... i will keep posting the updates here. sometimes i feel to break it all into pieces and burn it...

untill now i am able to connect the Rog Phone 2 to PC and in Device Manager it shows FastBoot Interface and i have also installed the "MiFlashSetup-Beta" which does shows up a device in it. but i dont have the ROM.. i also tried the ROM from Asus official Support webpage but then MiFlash says that some .bat file is missing. now i am making a EDL Cable as showin in the video in above post.
