I know this method but my phone won't turn on. It says "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock" on the start up screen and turns back off.

Been searching all day and found this and am curious if it works on the EPF1 build of the s6. I keep hearing that my bootloader is locked and it will brick my device so just wanted some confirmation that someone has done this with the same phone and build that i have and that it works without messing anything up. thanks in advance

It works, because I was on stock before I rooted. You have to unlock your OEM bootloader using steps 5 and 6 that I mentioned, or you will soft-brick your phone.

I know for sure it works because I did it the wrong way, and found out the right way. When you Unlock OEM, it unlocks your FRP (Factory Reset Protection). Without that being unlocked, you will be in a bootloop with the Samsung splash screen with the words FRP Locked (or something similar) at the top left hand corner until you flash the stock ROM from Sammobile via Odin.
Without following the steps I prescribed, you will soft-brick your phone, and ultimately, you will lose all data and information saved on your phone anyway. Unlocking it will remove the FRP lock so that when you reboot after rooting with CF-Auto-Root, you can log into your phone as usual (fingerprint, password, PIN, etc.) rather than being met with that Samsung splash screen.

Yes
No, it just installs root.
This does not automatically flash TWRP for you, it's something you have to do yourself.

I know it doesnt automatically flash TWRP i was asking how i would flash twrp afterwards. I guess it would have to be odin since you cant flash it from the phone without a custom recovery. Also, again just trying to clarify, your build number had EPF1 when you did this also?

Go to the TWRP website and find the latest build number, or download the TWRP Manager app on the Play Store and you can download and flash it from there.
Yes, my ROM was STOCK OTA.

Yes it will.
I took the 6.0.1 OTA Update. So is this what I need to do?
First, download 6.0.1 from like the site Sammobile and Flash via ODIN and should I check or uncheck Auto reboot?
Than once I flashed than follow all 13 steps given in post #7 of this thread
Once I followed the 13 steps than flash TWRP? Should I flash via ODIN or recovery? If in ODIN should check or unchecked Auto reboot?
Once I got TWRP than install Super SUPER SU from Play Store
So after doing the new update to EPF1 from Samsung and updating thru Odin i was first able to flash twrp via odin and SuperSU beta via Twrp. I rebooted my after having minor issues with the new EPF1 rom being slow since i came the Boot logo with FRP lock on. Poored thru several forums and sources found several types of solution's such as KIES, Smart Switch, Odin (back2Stock), i have attempted all of these the Boot logo with frp lock on is now off i can now boot to the rom. BUT i cannot flash TWRP anymore because in download mode it shows FRP lock On anyone have sometype of resolution for this specific issue with Download only?
EDIT: after several attempts with smart switch it turned off FRP lock
hey can you please explain how you did it in details, i am in the same3 situation... please!!!!

While in Android, enable developer mode, and find the Enable OEM Unlock item. Turn it on; this disables the Factory Reset Protection and should let you flash a custom recovery in Odin.
odin says it has succeeded. but when i try, the tablet boots into stock recovery. usb debugging is enabled. it has no oem unlock option.
there's a blue "secure download: enabled" message. it has to be that. people say it works even with this message. but mine doesn't.
sm-t810 here running nougat. any idea?
EDIT: do i need to have root access? because i haven't rooted yet.
nvm. i got it. i had to turn off auto reboot in odin.
I'm using a Samsung galaxy note 8, I used it with android 8. I had to install android 9 because there was no OEM option in the developer settings. I updated it to 9 and now I can turn it on. After I turned it on. In bootloader mode it was doing:
RRM STATUS : Prenormal
KG STATUS: Checking
OEM LOCK: OFF
FRP LOCK: OFF
as you can see OEM is unlocked but when I try to install TWRP the bootloader shows me that "Only official binaries are allowed to be flashed(recovery)"
I think it is because of RRM Status, but how to turn RRM of, I have no idea.

Notice how it says KG Status: Checking?
After unlocking the bootloader, Knox Guard is still active and has not quite unleashed the bootloader.
Here's what you have to do:
Boot into the OEM system (if you haven't yet, you'll need to reflash in Odin)
Skip through the initial setup and connect to the Internet
Enable Developer Options and check to see if the OEM Unlocking toggle is visible
If it isn't, go to System Update and force a check for firmware update (don't actually update if one is available)
After checking for an update, check again to see if OEM Unlocking is visible (should be grayed out, "Bootloader is already unlocked")
If toggle is visible, reboot to download mode. KG STATUS should say COMPLETED, I forget if RMM STATUS changes or disappears.
If they're still the same as they initially were, boot into system again, and set the clock ahead 2 weeks, then check again.
Once you've fixed KG and RMM status, flash TWRP in Odin. Make sure you force the phone to boot into TWRP after flashing, do NOT let it boot into system - this will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery
Once you're in TWRP, format (not wipe) data. If you intend to continue to use the OEM firmware, make sure you flash Multidisabler. If you intend to install a custom ROM, make sure you reformat /system.

And for me, I think I need only to do this step to fix RMM and KG:

I'm not telling you to unlock your bootloader, I understand you already did that.
Is the OEM Unlocking toggle visible in Developer Options? Yes or no.
The RMM: PRENORMAL is what's preventing TWRP from booting.

Damn.
It's entirely possible that a newer bootloader version is preventing custom images. This is the case on a few other devices out there because for whatever reason Samsung continues to obstinately try to actively block custom software, including root. Maybe see if you can roll back to a previous version and try again?
I also found this thread, see if anything there helps you
Btw thanks
