Well finally out of contract from ATT which I believe was holding back on the update from 4.4.2 at least that's what I was told a while back directly from an LG chat. They said that the next version was released for the G Flex and it was sent to the carriers for testing with their crap.
I'm waiting for my unlock code to come from ATT so my thoughts were to be able to get the update from somewhere else instead of relying on ATT to "NEVER" deliver it.
Did the update never come for D950 to go above 4.4.2?

Hello everyone, I have a question and I am no tech guy so please bear with me.
I have the unlocked HTC One 810e, I currently live in the U.S. and my carrier is AT&T, but I didn't buy the device from AT&T, I bought it back when I was in the middle east. Anyway, the current version of android I have is 4.3 and I have been patiently waiting for 4.4 to arrive, I've been reading lots of articles and blogs where people say that their unlocked HTC Ones have received 4.4. I've been checking for updates everyday and I haven't received anything yet. My question is, is there any way to trick my phone (I know that sounds a bit silly) into thinking we're somewhere besides the U.S.? Will that help me get the update?
Also, with the last two software updates (from 4.1), I have received a (I think 1 megabyte) update that said that there was some sort of bug and that was the reason I wasn't able to receive the update sooner, and after I updated the bug situation, I got the software updates immediately. Do you think this is the situation now?

AT&T 4.4 update is due out any day now ...if after it's released you still don't get updated I would consider taking other steps to get to 4.4

I don't think you read my rant thing. My phone is the unlocked version, I didn't buy it from AT&T. But, what do you mean by "other steps to get to 4.4"?

Your service is from AT&T the update will come from AT&T
The other path is unlocking the bootloader, flashing custom recovery and a custom Rom (4.4.2 sense 5.5 )

Perhaps this is a stupid question, and if so I have no doubt at last a few people will let me know, but I purchased an AT&T Moto X which I used on Go Phone for 6 months, after which I unlocked and switched to Straight Talk. My question is, with AT&T now doing soak tests on 4.4.4, will I still get the update since I'm no longer an AT&T customer? And if not, how can I update when it's available? Thanks guys.
Yes, you will get AT&T updates, as long as AT&T releases them. But I am pretty sure AT&T will not release any updates for Moto X.
AT&T doesn't actually release or distribute the update, it's all done by Motorola. AT&T only has to approve of the build before Motorola can release it. The update comes straight from Motorola servers, and whether you're using AT&T or not is irrelevant when it is distributed.

Excellent! Thank you!
Greetings,
I have an AT&T S6 Edge and I have not received a single OTA since I bought the phone at full price and used it on Straight Talk. I apologize in advance if this is a known issue, but what can I do to resolve? Samsung Smart Switch says the device is unsupported, and the Software Update just says, "no updates available". I do not want to trip KNOX as I'd like to keep the Samsung warranty intact if at all possible. If I switch to AT&T Go Phone will I then receive OTAs? It's only about $15 a month more, and to me that's worth the added cost if I can receive the OTAs, and receive better customer service as Straight Talk is absolutely horrendous for customer service.

Nothing new for AT&T! My S3 only got one OTA notification ever...all the other times I had to manually update when I saw the announcements on here after waiting for over a month.

I think that being on Straight Talk would possibly stop the updates. Since during the OF3(July update) flashes the bootloader, recovery, and modem. You could try to take out the sim and then check for updates BTW what build number are you on? If on OE2(Last 3 of the build number) then the OF3(Last 3) should be coming soon.
Same here. I got on the phone with someone at AT&T, and they had me install a new app on my phone and PC, apparently a replacement for Kies, and it allows you to update the OS as well instead of OTA. While on the phone, we went to the system builds released for this phone, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge through AT&T, and apparently, Samsung has released 4 updates since I got my phone, but it won't update to any of the other builds, at least until AT&T is ready to roll it out, which really sucks. I can't believe my phone has 4 updates that have been released, but I can't update to any of them. I called initially asking about Samsung Pay, which I couldn't find or install, and they sold me the functionality comes through with an update. A day or so ago, Samsung Pay can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, but even after downloading it and installing it, the app still won't work because it says I need an update. I understand if some companies want to hold off initially to test the next build before releasing it to everyone, but 4 updates is ridiculous.

I was having the same issue on my unrooted/unmodified and locked AT&T edge also so I finally just used this thread and updated with odin. It wipes your phone so be prepared to reinstall/configure everything but it was worth it to get to 5.1.1

Hi Folks:
If you're using the 925F, but on AT&T or other US carrier, do you get updates normally OTA? When I purchased my 925F, I was in the Netherlands using an AT&T Sim, and it updated to 5.1.1 that day. I believe there was an update for the 925F today, and I know these take a while to arrive, but wondering if I'm going to have to do something unusual, like hard reset the phone and boot up with no SIM card in order to get the update, or I should just wait for OTA.
Thanks

After crossflashing my sprint device to US Unlocked software since last year. I haven't gotten any updates since. There are like 2 updates released since then. Anyone getting the same issues ?
Attached are screenshots.
Use LGUP to update now. We're on 20e. And hopefully sometime soon, LG will release Android 10.

You cannot get OTA updates once you have crossflashed. You have to manually update via KDZ & LGUP.
What carrier are you using it on? I crossflashed my Sprint V405UA phone onto V405QA7 firmware but am not getting any VoLTE or VoWiFi at all (also rooted and bootloader unlocked). I'm on a T-Mobile MVNO, which should have VoLTE. Also, LTE Band 71 is a no no for me even though it's available in my area. My phone also only has 3 LTE band selection menus (I used shortcut master lite) that are very buggy and is missing the T-Mobile hidden menu.

Sigh the only thing I really can't take is the constant data loss during updates. I feel I'll hold out till Android 10
I bought an ATT v40 for super cheap off ebay but needed to use a verizon MVNO so I just bought a verizon branded one. Is it possible to get the ATT one to work on verizon? Should I change the firmware on either?
Edit: Also, I should add that the phone is SIM locked. ATT won't let me unlock it because they say it is still financed. I wonder if I should pay one of those unlocking sites to unlock it or return it?
How you made crossflashing?
