So today suddenly after open my camera app(Snap camera) I have noticed that focus does not work properly. Tried the stock app, the same situation.
Cleared the lens, cleared app cache and data then restart it still the same issue.
Could you please suggest any solution?
Same happend to my phone today. Have you find any fix?

Hello, I am sorry to bother you.
I recently bought Galaxy Camera and now my Lens is stuck out and I am keep getting the "Zoom error" :
"There was a problem using zoom function. Insert the battery again, and turn on the camera. If the camera does not work normally, handle it gently and contact customer service center"
This is my last resort of help before service.
What have I tried:
1. Pulled the battery and try again after
2. Put on charger and try camera
3. Factory Reset
4. Smoothly tapping on the sides of the lens
5. Searching for dust particles in between lens bases
Same problem here..
Were you able to fix it without samsung service???
Same problem too, eny solution?

That's slightly worrying. It's a hardware fault for sure, especially if you've tried the reset instructions and they haven't worked.
Looks like you are going to have to get Samsung (or maybe another camera repairer?) to look at it.

this happens if you have damaged your device. only solution is to go to samsung service center. they will replace the camera module. it cost me about $70.
Hi, I have a problem in my z3c, when I talk, screen doesnt go off. Also when I put brightness on auto, it stays the same all the time.
Any body has the same problem? Or mine is defect?

Are you using a screen protector ?
No screen protector
I didn't face that problem til now, did you restore an old backup to your phone ?
My phone had a problem and the supplier replaced it with a new piece. No problems now
Hi,
What kind of problem?
I also have the Ambient light sensor issue. The proximity sensor also fails.
The first time it happened, I tried (in last resort) a Factory reset, and both worked again.
But I'm not going to perform a factory reset every time these sensors stop working...
Help!
EDIT: I went back to the shop and they took it for repair. They declared a motherboard issue. In the end they gave me a new one.
i have same problem

Hi and sorry to ressurrect an old thread - I'm facing the same issue.
When trying to do the service check I get the same message as this video:
I removed the screen protector and the issue continues - anyone know what could be wrong?
Really hoping I won't need help from Sony as they were not helpful at all with my last query.
The issue can be seen on youtube under video name: Ambiance light sensor problem on xperia z3 compact D5803
Thanks,
Hi! I am having the same issue now... I restored it to factory settings but it did not help. Any ideas?
So I went to take a picture today and noticed a black mark on my camera (not the actual one bjt when I open it) I looked st the physical camera and its clean no searches marks or dirty. I cleaned it anyway and the mark persisted. I've tried 4 camera apps, 5 backups (Nandroid) and I can't figure out why it's there. It only showed up this morning and I'm out of ideas.
Does anyone else have this issue, or has anyone had this happen to them before?
I'm going to call moto for a RMA later tonight but I wanted to check here first. There's a picture down below of the issue its in the upper left corner. Enjoy the random poorly taken photos of the issue.
Edit: this issue doesn't exist in video mode, so it must be a software problem. Ill try restoring to stock and see if the issue persists.
Have you contacted the developer of the ROM you're using? Try looking through the forum of it and see if this is an issue for others as well. Other than that, re-flashing the rom would seem to be the best course.
I have the exact same problem before on my Xperia Z camera. It was the camera sensor, probably dust. Had to send my phone in to have the camera module changed.
Edit : I guess you better RMA your phone.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to RMA it, but its rather annoying when I take pictures. I'll give moto a call on Monday.
Just noticed this random black spot on mine as well. Came here to see if I was alone.

I tried everything from flashing the stock image to cleaning the lens with my old DSLR lens cleaning kit. The spot wouldn't go away so I RMA'd it.
So did you get the phone replaced?
same thing happened to me but i had a larger one. already got a replacement (new seal) and sent the old one back today. Just waiting for my reimbursement deductible.
I just updated to lollipop a few days ago, wasn't having any issues and then all of a sudden my front facing ('selfie') camera stopped working.
The button simply wasn't there for a while and the stock camera app or third party apps won't work (Google camera, instagram, etc.). After rebooting into safe mode I got the camera switch button back but the screen is just black when I switch to the front camera, and I'll get an error after a while / it'll freeze.
I recently did a PC companion repair and it still won't work. I've also deleted camera data and cache, reset, at least 3-4 times and nada.
Could someone help? I was going to factory reset it but if the repair didn't do anything I thought I'd ask here first so I don't have to set everything up again. I asked on sony support forums and they weren't helpful...surprise surprise. I think this is a lollipop glitch, I've heard of similar issues with the Nexus 5 / 6.

Anyone else have this issue?
No one else has had this issue?
I don't want to send the phone back if it's a known Lollipop bug...

yea i have insurance from a german insurance so i'm waiting to get it back from them.
did you get the problem fixed? if so how?
I recently took my phone in to be repaired as the charging port was broken (on holiday no less, so I couldn't use the wonderful camera...). Got it back a few days ago and was relieved to have it working good as new... Or so I thought.
I recently tried to take a selfie with a friend only to discover that every time I pressed the camera switch button, the camera app would close without warning. Next thing I know, when I try to restart the phone to fix this, the camera freezes when I try to reopen it, and I'm stuck looking at a black screen which can only be fixed by minimising and reopening the app.
Just now, I'm trying to take an amazing photo of the moon with the wonderful night mode, and what do you know? It's missing completely! Next to Aperture mode, there's ...nothing! What has happened to the wonderful app?
Is it due to the repair or something due to the update of EMUI? I've seen a similar post where a user was arrested by the broken front camera and freezing issues, so I know I'm not alone.
Can anyone help?
Try to clear data for camera app first. If not successful, backup phone and factory reset. If still not good, try to reflash firmware using Hisuite
Or, take phone back to repair center and have them fix this...
