Has anyone been able to get Bionic to connect via USB to a PC? Mine won't recognize it even after downloading and installing the Motorola Driver installer from their support site.
I have no problems. Have you rebooted the computer and phone just to make sure? And did you select the Mass Storage(USB) option?
I tried a different PC and it worked fine. Must be a problem with my laptop.

Guys any help about this plz?!
P.S :
- phone was recognized on other laptop so nothing wrong with phone
-flash disks are recognized on my laptop so usb is working fine
-is there anyway to root phone thru wifi ? or without pc ?!
Remove the drivers and reinstall the drivers for the USB LG
did that manytimes but if you have a link for usb lg give it to me ..might be diff. ! well i tried everything i know nothing worked out
There must be something wrong with your computer OR you have wrong usb or adb drivers or you dont have them at all..
Try going into recovery or bootloader mode , connect your phone
and see what's on the screen.Btw what system are you using

yeah its a pretty sure smth wrong with pc..cuz i had another o.b last night to root and didnt get recoginzed tho both worked on another pc and flash disks work properly too !
now what just happened when i tried to connect says : one of the usb devices attached has malfunctioned and didnt recognize ( unknown device .. unused port )..i reinstalled drivers and still same..if you have another link for updated lg drivers? or any other ideas?
some possible reasons :
wrong drivers
bad drivers signatures or signatures recognition issues, or drivers wrongly installed
insufficient resources for usb ports
defective cable
defective usb port
try this as soon as possible :
access to win boot menu and disable signature verification. then plug the phone and see if it's recognized. if yes, this simply means you'll need reinstalling windows completely.
PS : don't use hal. if you don't know what this is, ignore that << PS >> : )
Can you tell me what Os are ya using

I have been having some trouble trying to unlock the bootloader. When plugged into my laptops' usb, the phone charges but is never detected by the pc. Usb debugging is on and I have tried selecting each of the different default connection options to try and get a response. I have used different cables and different ports, still nothing. My main os is Ubuntu 13.04 but I have also tried on a mac as well to see if that was the problem. I have the correct java, sdk tools and sdk fastboot files.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance
update* Also, when plugged into the usb when at the fastboot menu, the display shows "Fastboot AC", not Fastboot usb

Have you tried connecting your phone to an AMD Motherboard's Chipset/Processor Computer to see if it can be detected? Because mine does the same behaviour until I found out that it cannot be detected in any Intel based Computer.

My laptop and my compiler machine is all based intel. No such issues. Install correct driver on the machine. Dont use usb 3.0 or usb hubs. Directly connected in the back side of the computer.

Can confirm that. All my laptops are Intel-based and working fine for me. Only problem some times seems to be some versions of Windows..

Try obtaining the latest version of the drivers from the HTC site. The older version had issues with Win8.

I'm having a similar but mine is that it won't connect via USB at all. If I go to recovery it shows as charging but won't mount the SD card. Know its not the USB cable because it the one I've been using
When I connect my phone to pc. It says
Phone is in usb host mode.
I cannot charge the phone after connecting to pc and pc doesn't show my phone. I've to restart to get charging working again
Im currently on viperone 6.2 I tried changing Rom but that didn't help.
Fastboot works.
