I can't go back to Marshmallow from Nougat - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi good day...
I've been reading posts from people who have the same problem trying to get back to Marshmallow from the Nougat beta, but I have not found a concrete, working solution.
I have tried in 3 ways:
1.- By the method of the three buttons: I have tried to reinstall the software by this method and it did not work. It stayed at 51% and marked error. I already try to put it in the internal memory and the SD memory but in neither it works. I also try with the dialer method and it does not work either.
2.- Try to do it with the method "this link" which consists of sending the update via OTA configuring proxies and such things. I get the OTA update of the firmware that I select, but it marks the same installation error.
3.- Try to do it by HiSuite in "recovery system" but apparently the PC does not recognize the device, only in "recovey" mode and when trying to start the recovered process tells me that my device is not supported.
Please if anyone has any solutions let me know, I'll be waiting for your answers folks, I do not want to use this beta forever

So i cant Garantee that this will work for you but it worked verry fine with my (EVA-L09).
1. I started my P9 in Fastboot Mode (Hold Volume Down + Connect USB Cable)
2. I used the Programm DC Phonix 35 at First and used Method 2 (see Link). I used the File for the Dual Sim Version (EVA-L19, you find the File on the Data Base of the DC Phonix Tool) of the P9 because there is no Version for the Solo Sim. But it worked verry fine.
3. After i completed Method 2 i started the Phone and saw that it worked again but it is an verry small android version with no function exept Phone Settings and some Huawei Internal Software.
4. I restarted the Phone into the Fastboot Mode and used Method 1 with the Update.app of the Firmware EVA-L09C432B136. But only do step 1. Step 2 will not work !! After the Process was completed i restarted it and it worked.
5. After that i Searched in the Android Options for an Update and found the EVA-09C432B182. You need to install it to fix some errors. After the Phone installed by itself the B182. I used the Huawei Updater with the Hisuite to Upgrade to B361 because the Phone didnt found a new Version by itself. Guide for Huawei Updater with Software Links
And now my P9 is on the EVA-09C42B361 and can find updates by itself i know the new B383 is out but i will wait a week than the Phone will find the Update by itself and i dont want to Brick it again. In the next Days your Phone will show you that the B383 is avalible.
I hope my Little Guide can Help you. If you have any Problems please write me I know that the DC Phonix tool costs Money but it was the only way it helped me. But i have some credits left at my account i think you can use them if you want
Sorry for my Bad english if there are some questions left please write me

NRD90M TEST KEYS - factory reset - no keyboard

Hey, few weeks ago i had an upgrade to EMUI 5.0 on my EVA-LO9 P9. Since the update i've lost all the applications like calculator, camera etc etc. Bluetooth was not workign aswell. So i checked on forums and i red that i've to do a rollback. I tried but it was stopping at 5% every time giving an unknown error. So after that i did factory reset using volume up and power key button while phone was off. After that i had to configure my phone again but i can't, because i don't have keybord. Only voice keyboard is working and obviously i can't enter my google account using it. So i can't move any files to my P9 from PC and vice versa to try rollback with other files. Can't get access to android at all. Do you guys know what should i do? My phone is semi-bricked right now.
Thanks in advance for a fast answer, i have to get it to work ASAP.
Regards!
Try to install 3rd party keyboard via moboginie... Make sure the developer option and debugging is enabled. Then try the rollback package. It should work then
But the thing is that i can't even enter developer options to enable debugging.. because I cant get past adding a google account to my device. I don't have access to my android at all. I dont have access to my P9 from my PC when i connect it via usb aswell.

I had a similar problem today. So I was on EVA-L19C432B383 and wanted to downgrade to EVA-L19C432B378 with dload method.Updated went 100% then a message came up at boot stating storage requires password or something like that. Then I read on a forum to wipe data/factory reset. I did that and the problem with the keyboard appeared(only voice). Flashed like 10 stock roms but didn't manage. SOOO finally after 7 frustrating hours I was able to flash (dload method) the rollback from N to MM update from this link www .stechguide.com/downgrade-huawei-p9-from-android-nougat-to-marshmallow/ the european version (Download Huawei P9 Nougat Rollback Package for EVA-L09 (Europe) it works for L19 also) and then I flashed the rom EVA-L19C432B182. Thank god It was alive again (the rom I downloaded using firmware finder for pc). Hope it helps!

you have to flash the data package from my twrp, you just updated the core system.
Could you give me your current build id? (example: L09CxxxBxxx)
this is exactly what happened to my p9+
any solutions? mine is still stuck like this. the only firmware that finished installing is the south east asia but when it optimizes the phone, it fails. and back to nrd90m.

Firmware version for P8 Lite 2017

Hello everyone i'm looking for a specific firmware, the PRA-LX1C55B120, i can't get a hold of it from FirmwareFinder, is there another source? Thanks in advance
Anyone?

there is a link for c55b183 but even though you download it, i doubt that you can use the dload or twrp to install the firmware.

Thanks for the answer, but i already can get that from FirmwareUpdater, the one i need is the B120, which is on FU, but apparently the link is broken.
Also why you say that? I think i should be capable of flashing with adb.

I haven't tried the adb method as it may screw up your phone if anything goes wrong. On the other hand I tried dload method many times but it always gave me an error. My phone was named P9Lite2017 and it was PRA-LX1 C464, so I installed PRA-LX1C432b191 via Firmware finder, and now I can't even revert back to the C464. I bricked my phone many times too but recovered it thx to erecovery. Still the phone doesn't like it when you change its firmware. Cheers

I don't know bro, erecovery saved my ass a couple of times, and whenever I screw up the system I just boot into erecovery and tap on 'Download Latest Version and Recovery'. It makes the device like new. Never faced the problem you're facing though.

Huawei p9 always rebooting every 2 minutes

Hello everyone,
I'm new in xda's forum and so that's my first thread.
I hope you can help me.
I have a Huawei P9 EVA-L09C02B357 that lately it automatically reboot about every 2 minutes. The interesting things is that it happened only if I boot the ROM (stock or not). But in recovery mode (or erecovery) or fastboot mode, this automatic reboot doesnt manifest.
All is started when I have tried to install RROS Nougat on my phones and it was working when i tried to turn off the phone and then turn it on but nothing, the phone was stuck on boot phase.
I decided to switch data file system from f2fs to ext4 and then reinstall it as the guide explains.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-t3606185
The ROM worked correctly except the fingerprint sensor.
During the first configuration, it scans my fingerprint but for a bug, i couldnt go over the first scan.
Searching on the internet I understood that the problem could be the modem. But for a mistake I have flashed the wrong fix for the modem (it was for another phone, don't ask me how I didnt notice it).
Now even with stock rom or custom the phone has this automatic reboot. Particularly the stock rom has many bugs every time i flash it, like: there isn't the IMEI, there aren't any preinstalled apps, is really slow in some situations and the default keyboard is the voice typing...
I think the solution is to flash the stock modem, but when I try to flash it via fastboot, it says: "No suitable files selected. Check profiles.xml".
Thanks in advance
P.S. sorry for my bad english :C

Can you send me the MM firmware?
To go back to android 6, my phone should have android 7 installed? Cuz now i have some problems to flash it.
UPDATE
Thank you so much vampirian!
I have successfully installed android 6 and the automatic reboot is gone.
Now i'll try to update it and probably retry to install RROS .
(yes i'm stubborn).

This is not the serial number (of your device) but the stock firmware build mame/number
If you debrand to c432 (EU) from your c900, you will automatically receive (must have SIM card in) OTA updates first to b242 (over your b182) and then further OTA updates up to b399 or even b502
PS: For debranding to c432 you can use this guide

If you have debranded to c432 as suggested in my previous post, let it update as far as it gets (b398, b399 or even b502).
Once it stops receiving OTAs, perform Hard reset with wiping Internal memory (you can do it from Settings or from eRecovery)
Btw, if it attempts an OTA but it fails, then go back to the updating screen and choose Full update, instead of (default) differential update.
Which ROM to suggest you - Magic Rainbow v4:

I knwo the existence of Magic Rainbow but i didn't know that it is based on Emui. I'll download it because i guess it is more stable than RROS.

Are you now on EVA-L09 c432 b395, exactly as that?
You do not receive further OTA, or you received OTA but it failed (in that case force Full update as suggested above)?
If you're really not receiving OTA b398 or b399, try Hard reset with wiping Internal memory - if still mo OTA, install b398 by HWOTA method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
Once you reach b398, you're ready for MR v4.

If you boot to eRecvery ( Vol+ and Pow) you will find Hard reset option.
Similarly, under Settings /Advanced Settings/ Reset phone there is also hard reset option - cannot tell you better details, I have TWRP and MR v4, I don't have these options.
Also if you 'dial' ' *#*#2846579#*#* a hidden Project menu will open, with Restore Factory option

Both two last options as listed (Settings and Project Menu) are present in stock ROM.
And you can boot to eRecovery as above - shut down, then press and keep pressing Vol+ and Pow together
If not OTA, then the best way for manual updating is HWOTA, I gave you the link also above
But still, you didn't confirm, are you really on EVA L09 c432 b395, ie, you are not on L19 (by mistake)

I was on EVA-L09 c432 b395 and now I'm on b502. I tell you what I did.
I tried to make a reset bt the Project Menu option but, the reset it didn't gave any update...
So I tried with firmware finder (android version) and I used the DNS method. I have chosen the b397 OTA and the updater found it.
During the download, it arrived at 25% and suddenly the phone has found the b502 for a total of 4 patch to download together (I dont know how to explain that thing).
After download the phone reboot for installing phase but it failed... and on boot it appeared a red warning, then i went to erecovery, shut off the phone and go to recovery mode for a factory reset.
Factory reset was a success but on boot the red warning still appear but i tried to continue to boot... fortunately it was all ok but the phone was on b395.
It magically appeared the screen for b502 Full-OTA update and now I have it!
I wouldn't understimate you but I always prefer to try solution by myself.

Downgrading android 9 pie to 8 oreo

Recently updated my Honor 9 lite device to 9.1, it won't let be do anything. I can't rotate my screen, apps keep running in background, battery is terrible and can not install apps from play store(tried to reinstall the google play services by uninstalling it updates and everything). 9.1 on the device is terrible.
How do i degrade my android version. Reply ASAP
Firstly do not demand some one reply ASAP it's very rude to do so.
Secondly back up your important data as roll backing your firmware will trigger the device to erase itself (Very important)
Thirdly once you have done the first 2 steps connect your mobile to your computer and use the latest version of HiSuite and use the recover system option this should give you the option to roll back your firmware.

I can't confirm this. I am trying to downgrade my Honor 9 Lite (LLD-L31C432) to Android 8 right now for the "dload folder method" and I not being able to. When I put the UPDATE.APP inside dload folder on root partition of SD Card, I got an error and is not possible to downgrade.
Also try HiSuite but this phone is not compatible. Any advice?
I am very disappointed with Huawei. First it removes the possibility of unlocking the bootloader by official route and then removes the option to downgrade. Probably my first and last Huawei's phone.
If you take this route i am not responsible for any bricks!
Right, for starters C432 Devices are known not to work with DLOAD with Firmware Finder files.
You say HiSuite is not working for you. This might be because Android 9 requires HiSuite 9.
So simply head here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78850439&postcount=1317
Follow instructions and it will work.
Also make sure you downgrade with
https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/?firmware_model=LLD-L31C432&firmware_page=0
Leland-L31AC432改B144 (8.0.0.144) LLD-L31C432B144 (8.0.0.144) which is the first one in the link above as that will roll you back to Android 8.0.

https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/?firmware_model=LLD-L31C432&firmware_page=0
Leland-L31AC432改B144 (8.0.0.144) LLD-L31C432B144 (8.0.0.144) which is the first one in the link above as that will roll you back to Android 8.0.

thank you. I am downloading the firmware and will make you know if that works. Just one question: what I exactly have to do in step 4? I have to search my device model as in the screenshot, select the firmware, register it on "DNS Update" then go to step 5? Sorry about the newbie question. I have no experience with FF and HiSuite.
Step 4 is to open the link that i already made for you to go directly to the right firmware page, then right clicking the firmware i told you which would of gave you
Code:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G2052/g1647/v266695/f1/full/changelog.xml
Then in FF Tool select DNS Update, paste the link you just got or the one above that again i have just sorted for you.
Click Register then whilst FF is still open use HiSuite.
Then when the phone shows in HiSuite click Update, you should then have the option to downgrade from there.
Now please can i get one with Waking up, taking my meds so i can go to get my bloods done.

yep... I got this. But when I flash the firmware via HiSuite, the phone just bricked and now I have a totally black screen. It doesn't turn off or on. Any advice? I already download a Pie firmware, but the phone isn't beeing detected by ADB.
Press and hold power button for 10 seconds.
Then plug the cable into the charger and press Volume up and power on the phone and place the other part of the charge cable into the phone.
This has to be done with the charger not a computer.
If that works then it should show a menu to download the latest recover and use that to get your phone back online.

Tried. No signal of life. Nothing happen.
When you connect it to a PC does it show in device manager?
Also press pressing the power button for 10 seconds then puttin the cable to the phone whilst it's not plugged into anything then pressing volume down and place the cable into the pc. See if fastboot shows up. If fastboot shows up you could try recovery option in HiSuite.

yes, as Android Bootloader Interface.
See if you can use HiSuite to recover the phone. Install the basic driver for ADB and fastboot.
Also I have to go now, as my hospital appointment awaits me.

(1) yes, as Android Booloader Interface.
(2) my phone (LLD-L31(C42)) isn't suppoted by HiSuite. So, I can't use it.
obs.: my phone is beeing recognized by fastboot:
.\fastboot.exe devices
MKJNW18503004415 fastboot

ok. I will wait for you. I need to sleep as well.
See if HiSuite 5 will detect your device and recover it else I am unsure what you can do after this point. There is a telegram group that you could get help from failing that.

I have HiSuite 5.0.x.x here. I will try it.
You talk about Big Huawei Exploits group?
HiSuite_5.0.1.300_OVE also says that my phone isn't supported.
Yes I am talking about that group, the fact that fastboot still shows means all is not lost. Good luck in your endevor to unbricking your device.

I joined the group, but unfortunately no one could help me. Any other suggestions?
edit: for no one could help me read it nobody answered me.
Try the other group, which is dedicated for H9L. The only other way I can think of is to try and flash stock erecovery on the phone and see if you can recover that way.

which one?
how to flash stock erecovery? All fastboot commands gives me FAILED (remote: Command not allowed) error. I tried on both Windows and Linux. adb devices doesn't see the devices, but fastboot devices see.
I would not like to spend money with this, but DC-Unlock software can help me? If yes, I will consider to pay for it.
Best bet is to ask on the group I PM's you.
They are more suitable to helping out.
What command did you use to try and flash erecovery?
