Hi, i don't now my friend, make a backup and flash then ,is possible work on miui

@mikivila - Do you suppose there is a way to cancel the led when one swipes away the notification on the lock screen? Currently, it seems you have to use the power button (unlock device) to cancel the led.

No

No disrespect to the op, but with the moto x' awesome active display, I'm finding it kinda hard to see the need to activate the led for notifications and I've always thought the notification LED makes ur phone look like it's something out of the 90's

[Q] Touch Buttons lightening

Hey all,
hope this is the right Thread for my post.
I've found out that the touch buttons of my device(Galaxy i9000) are lightening as long as the display is on.
On the device of my girlfriend the buttons are lightening only for 3 seconds then they turn off again even the display is still on.
We both have Froyo 2.2.1 XXJQ3 flashed over Odin. Nothing else is modded.
No rooting, no lagfix.
I know thats it's normal that the buttons are only lightening for 3 seconds, but my girlfriend wants me to set her mobile so it's like mine.
And I have the question why my buttons are lightening as long as the display's on and other phones of the users here not?
Hope u pros can help me again.
Greetz and thx
That's really strange...mine only go in in some apps, when I click them, our when I an typing but generally they are off...will look into it. Are you sure you both running exactly the same firmware?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I'm on the same firmware flached wit Kies (official) and mine is fine. If keep touching the screen, the buttons keep lightening but if after two seconds they are off.
flash the official version it's in kies
Hey guys,
Yeah I'm sure that we both have the same firmware, because I flashed them together. First mine then her's.
Today I flashed both to 2.3.3 and again my buttons stay on and her's not.
In my opinion it looks much better when they stay on as long as the display is on especially when it's dark, but im still curious whats the reason for this.
Still hope u can help me.
Thx and greetz
keep the lights on
Hi there,
I had exactly the same problem with my phone - especially annoying if you are
using phone in darkness.. App "keep the lights on" is a smooth solution..
Give it a try, step out of the dark
cheers
saving battry
I know that it saves battery but why the heck it doesn't do that on my phone?
Never changed something and I have to say that I really like that they stay on, but is there a chance that we can set up if lights stay on or not?

For me on XXJPK, while the app works, after I lock and unlock the buttons light up again so you would have to double tap the widget to turn the lights off every time... :-(
@markdj57
On JP3 and JPO works just fine - after turning the widget (and lights) on, I simply
throw the widget in trash and the buttons and display become one

XXJVK known issue/feature: Button lights are always on when screen is on.
However, this phenomenon should not occur on older firmwares.
Is there a simple fix yet?
Look at this post, worked for me and others.

I found that the app "screen filter" makes the soft key lights turn off after a couple of seconds when it's running, other than that I've never experienced it :/

Notification LED

Hi,
is there a possibility to change the notification-led settings? Like that the LED should shine instantly or blink so long till i unlock the phone?
Thanks...
(I´ve the One for 2 days now and want to install TrickDroid)
There's not much you can do with the led
And you should flash trickdroid
Hmm, but why? Is it not possible to change the kernel "a little bit" so you can config the led?
You can download a led app from Google play but you got to be rooted it doesn't work very well
There's also LightFlow, but apparently there's some serious compatibility issues with the One at the moment. Perhaps when there's an update.
so as of right now, there is no way to extend the duration of the flashing led notification without rooting? it really doesn't make sense that it would turn off after a few minutes. it seems obvious that it should remain blinking until you've viewed the notification...or is it just me? can this be done if the phone has been rooted?

I can answer your first 2 questions.
1. If you bought used, you should do a factory reset to clear all previous owner data if it's possible. However, with a rooted already phone, you may have to learn how to use flashtool later on to completely wipe it out.
2. It is an official newest firmware at this moment, so it's up to you.
However, if you want root later, then read other posts about it before execute the update.
Sent from my SGP312 using Tapatalk
1st: You don't have to but do it.
2nd: Definietly.
3rd: Games?
4th: You don't have to. Android will manage Ram and processing when needed.
5th: White Yellow, Greeen, Blue, Red. When it will be in sleep and a notification will come, you will have Blue intermittent. You cannot Change color until you will get Root and use an App to customize Lights.
aha ok thx for the help !
about the root thing can u explain what is it and what are the advantages for it ?
and about the last question so in other words if i have an notification it will flash but so far the only lights i saw was blue when a missed call and green for facebook msg and but other than that if i ididnt receve any notifications at all the LED will not flash any colurs ? coz right now it is been like an 4 hrs with no notifications and no flashing colour indicat that the phone is accutally running in sleep mode so is this normal ?

Root is like Jbreak on iPhones but it's more easy than Jbreak. It give you full control of your phone, that mean everything on it. You don't like a letter, you can change it in the system (only for experienced), but also customize the phone like you like, transparent iconbar, overclokking, downvolting CPU for save battery. Just everything what is possible. Many Apps on Play Store need Root as well. Without it they will not work.

Only Red if you are low of battery, other than that, nothing.

It's normal but actually when you will receive a sms, facebook notification or call, it will blink Green or Blue, don't worry.
thx again for the help
for the time being ill pass on the rooting since my phone is still new and i dont want to void the warranty since it is 2 years.
and also there is on thing cought my eye which is that my phone is already using the 4.3 android version out of the box is this legit ? coz i read that the default is 4. 2 then u must upgraded to the 4.3 and also
when i go to settings ....>display i dont see the pulse notification tick insted there is the notification light tick is it the same thing since i was serching the net and most of them mention the pulse notification
and one last weird question : how can i tell between a real z1 phone and a fake z1 phone ( copy) in an hardware and software aspect!! xD

[Q] [CM11] Reboots with every notification with screen off

Hi there, guys.
I did a wide search in Google/XDA/whatever and didn't manage to find anything related to my problem, so I'm posting it here :good:
My S3 Mini (I8190N) runs flawless and quite smooth on NovaFusion/Maclaw 20140524. Using Gravity Box for enabling navbar (since the I8190N loses its capacitive buttons when changes the kernel) did the trick and fully usable...
Except for one little BIG bug: everytime I receive a notification (Whatsapp, Gmail, FB, SMS, calls, doesn't matter which app) while the screen is off, it reboots. Every. Single. Notification. Cause of this, my battery lasts just a couple of hours, since is rebooting non stop, and I lose a lot of important things (calls, alarms, SMS, you name it)
I tried some things:
- Installing today's NovaFusion release (didn't solved);
- Clean installing 20140524 again (nope) and clean installing today's release (nope again);
- Removing Xposed and Gravity Box (I thought it could be some incompatibility, but nope);
- Disabling lockscreen (to test if the problem was with lockscreen itself, but no).
Following the logic, it appears to be something related to notifications waking up the screen (the phone even vibrates a little before restarting again), but I didn't find any configuration related to this.
So please, anyone? Any advices? Any solutions? This issue is getting me heads off
Strange bug indeed and i have no idea why. The vibration on boot is always there to tell that bootloader boots. Its easier to troubleshoot a black phone that way, according to the service manual.

Since there seem to be issues with the capacitive button lights on your device, I would assume that the problem is with BLN (Back light notification) which activate the capacitive button backlights when you receive a notification and the screen is off.
I would suggest that you check to see if BLN is enabled and disable it. There is a BLN Control App in the Play store :good:

This makes a HUGE sense! :victory:
(still weird, tho, that only the I8190N loses its capacitive buttons on new kernel, but not entering this discussion haha)
Will try this, @Meticulus. Thanks in advance

Now I'm discovering the Xposed to do a lot of other things (autohide the navbar, disable the "3-dot" button on apps, etc)
Thank you very much!

would it be possible to upload it again anywhere, maybe here?
or is there another possibility to fix that problem yet?

Recently the screen in my N6 always turning on w/o doing nothing

Hi!
As i wrote, the screen just turning on without doing nothing.
I'm not touching...Only move it within my palms and the screen turnes on.
Anyone heard about that?
Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
It's called ambient display. Makes your screen turn on when the phone is moved after your screen turns off.
Basicly a replacement for the lack of a led light(talking non rooted non custom rom here)
OR.. it could also be an app, thats turning your screen on. there are many apps that do this, you should read your apps permissions.
Just turned off ambient display.
But...does it mean that now I wont get any notifications during phone at sleep?
Tnx!
Ambient display doesn't use much extra battery, it only illuminates the pixels its displaying and it keep the phone in a low power state.
It is your phone's stock visual notification system, so yes if you turn it off you won't get any visual notifications. If your phone is set to vibrate or make notification noises it will still do that. The phone does have an LED behind the speaker, so if you are rooted you can install something like lightflow to use your phone's LED for notifications instead/as well.

I don't use light flow, but I have heard of many having issues using that app. what I use is s ROM that allows for colored notifications, then I set my colors within the ROMs options. BTW, pure nexus ROM.

oh snap, I just realized this is the same guy who was posting in the lightflow tutorial thread and was told how to do it multiple times.
He does not have "run all commands as root" check in the settings, and insist its not an option. He just needs to go through the settings and enable that like the popup window when you first launch light flow tells you.
You gotta look through your settings man. I don't know what else to tell you, I don't use that app anymore but I have. And unless you go through all the options in the settings menu... The app isn't going to be able to write to the kernels file system to turn the light on.
Maybe I'll just flash the pure nexus ROM.
I just dont get how to use this App.
Tnx!
I don't want to sound mean but if you Cant figure an app out I don't think you should be flashing ROMs

He said in another thread that he bought it... but that doesn't matter. I don't and I used it via the options I stated to have LED notification for basic stuff.
I have a question regarding ambient display. I know how it works and all that stuff, however, how many time the phone wakes up with the black/white screen? Because mine gets a notification, it shows it to me then without doing nothing it shows the notification again and again, every minute I guess for a long time. Is this normal?
Yes thats normal. Just like a notification LED will stay on, Ambient Display will show every now and again until you acknowledge the notification in case you missed it. Again, it uses almost no battery to do this, I have used the phone with it on and with it off and never really notice a difference.
