Hey folks,
Got this watch yesterday and all though I am running off an Iphone I still love it...
When you have a watch face with a different style you can tap the edge of the face to change it. Is there a way to disable that?
Little tired of flashing from black to white face accidentally.
Thanks.

So, after having the Gear for a few days now, one thing that seems to be a glaring omission to me is that there is no indication of notifications on the watch face/home screen.
I can't just flick my wrist and look at the watch to know if I have a notification.I have to swipe to the left to get to the Notification page.
I was riding my bike today and wasn't sure if I got a notification. It would have been nice to just glance at the watch and know instead of having to stop and swipe to check.

I agree, we need a mod to have at least a badge @ home screen with number of unrerad notifications
Hopefully one day we'll get a custom watch face program (with tasker integration)

Hi,
I have my Z3C for 2 days now and I really like the phone! But there is a point where I am still struggeling, as I am coming from a MotoX.
Is is possible to activate notifications on the lockscreen? I don't want to swipe the notification bar down everytime I unlock the phone when somebody texts me. I tried some apps (DynamicNotifications, Notify!, Go Locker, Floatify) but none of them are working for me, or I am to stupid to use them Over that it would be great when the screen is lit up for some seconds when a notification appears.
I hope that somebody can help me!
Thanks
Try nils in the play store.
Floatify is my favorite for notifications
Nils is working great, thanks!
I also have been looking for a lock screen replacement and after using the MotoX a bit went with ACC display and really like it so far, its very clean and minimalistic, and allows me to see all my notifications and either interact or dismiss them from the lock screen.
Might try some of the suggestions and see if anything is better.
Hi all,
I am very happy with my new P20 Pro however I have one problem with the lock screen notifications.
The screen will be activated but not content is shown although all settings are correct and no security options are enabled. The lock screen is also set to Huawei slideshow.
Any ideas?
Go to face unlock settings in secirity and turn off smart lock screen notifications.

Yes! That worked for me too! FYI - I tried an online chat with Huawei and they asked me to send my brand new P20 Pro into the shop for 2 weeks to take a look at it! Glad I found this first!

Try his theme from EMUI Themes Factory, works for me
Hi, been following this issues as was experiencing this myself. Did all the tips remove lock screen, face recognition etc etc but still wasn't seeing what notifications I had. My screen would light up and say I had a message but that was it. I found changing my theme back to a stock one worked. I can now see the type of notification and the first line preview of the message. Hope this helps some one
I am absolutely certain I saw this in the settings a few days ago, but I can't find it now and a search of settings is coming up with nothing.
Basically, it was a way to set up split screen but having both sides of the screen active. This was demonstrated in the settings as having a dancing stick figure in the active window and when I turned on "both sides active" (or whatever it is actually called) then both stick figures started dancing.
Can anyone help me find this setting again? I've been through every single option in the settings and can't see it anywhere!
Thanks
I think that's a Good lock setting.

Bingo! Thank you
Speaking of split screen.....
On my s8 I could tap the middle bar of the 2 apps I am running split and it gives me option to flip the two easily. I can't figure out for the life of me how to do this on the s10. Is it possible?
If I have the phone on my desk where it can't scan my face and unlock, is there any way to reach over to view and dismiss notifications? Currently if I double tap the screen it just goes straight to trying to scan my face, but it only shows a notification icon and no contents. I can pull down the notification shade and check it that way, but that's an extra couple of steps. Am I just out of luck if I want to use face unlock?

I'm seeing the same thing. Haven't found a way around it. There's a setting in face id that you can check that asks you to confirm unlock when it scans your face, but, it isn't working apparently. This is definitely one of my gripes so far.
i think i have a fix for you guys if its sitting more or less flat and you wave/hold your hand over the top it will activate the screen with out it scanning your face its part of the motion sense options i believe

It will activate the screen, but it'll only show the notification icon, not the contents.

Try swiping down on the screen. Notification should appear at the top & you can view or dismiss.

Yes, I already mentioned that in the OP. I'd prefer to skip that extra step.
I have just switched from a OnePlus 7 Pro and I am confused by this too.
Is it not possible to view notification content directly on the screen without pulling down the shade every time?
Disabling 'Skip screen lock' makes the phone behave like other androids without face lock. You can read and interact with your notifications. But it's an extra step to unlock the phone.

Good catch! I'm going to do this for a while and see whether I prefer this and having to swipe up, or just let it unlock.

Yeah, I tried it and realized I like the skip lock screen feature more. I think it's a bug and have raised it to Google via the feedback option. Hopefully they fix it.

This is definitely the better way IMO. It'll probably save battery, and I don't have to be on the home screen every time. I do already miss the one step unlock though. My 3xl, I would just grab it and hit the fingerprint scanner at the same time. This one I have to swipe now. Oh well, not sure there is any other way.
