[RESOLVED] Can't activate on Ting (cm12 nightly) - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Any ideas?
Ting support says it's the custom rom.
Tried a few different sprint activation codes but all returned invalid account or some such.
How do I update the PRL/network profile?
Trying to avoid having to flash back to stock.

Nope. Couldn't do it without flashing a stock image. Crappy HTC/Sprint implementation.

That's good info. Thanks for sharing. I saw your original question, but I'm on Sprint not Ting so I was hoping someone else would help you. Are you able to now flash a custom ROM and still be activated with Ting?

Sprint and Ting are basically the same in this context. I did eventually find a stock rom image that allowed me to get the phone service activated.

How can I fix Wi-Fi hotspot on Dark Raider?

Hey guys. I've had a Raider on Rogers for quite some time, and the Dark Raider rom with KozmikKernel RC1 has been working well for me for what I need. However, the Wi-Fi hotspot hasn't been working for me no matter how many different third-party tethering programs I installed. I'm on the AT&T build.prop. Is there any way I can fix this problem on my current setup, or should I just switch over to stock Rogers ICS and go back to a custom ROM later?
I've also attached a screenshot of what happens on the default hotspot app (My phone crashed while trying to take the screenshot.... weird )
Try the beta 12 from kozmick , or faux 123 (007 kernel) see if that works for ya.

I just installed beta 13 and it didn't work. Also, my phone's performance is now choppier, probably because of the badass governor.
i hope i helped.
i have had the same issue before, and after a lot of reading and searching, i came to figure out what i was doing wrong.
you should keep reading and searching too, you will learn a lot.
but i will tell you what i know and i hope it helps.. it all has to do with the way you flash roms and kernells to your device. if you have already achieved S-off, then your problem may be a lil more difficult,, but if you are just fastboot unlock and rooted.. what you need to do is stract the boot.img of the file that has the kernell inside the rom zip. and flash that separately via fastboot.
place the boot on ur file that ur using to flash stuff, and then use the proper command,
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" in command pront,
if u are confuse, take a look into this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416836
:good:
I've tried 3 different kernels, still getting the same error message as above on DarkRaider. I'm not with AT&T. Any advice?
Reflash the Rom and when its done flash the kernel should fix it

Tried that with several ROMs and several kernels - still get the same error. Thought I had it fixed with that world-famous Illuminati ROM, but alas it was not to be.
It has to be an APN problem, in that it's looking for AT&T info and not finding it. That's all I can think of it being...

Yea att,
that is what mine looks like , at the top right you can see the active symbol.
On a stock ROM, that's exactly what I see. It works on stock but any modded ROM gives me an error. It works on AT&T, but not on any other carrier. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Actually I'm using this on my HTC Vivid for tethering!! I did this that a saw on a Vivid ROM thread, I think it was on Dark Raider's..... so I don't deserve any credit, I just want to help. I'm rooted and tried it and it works perfectly!! You can just hit the thank you button.
You'll need SQ Lite Editor:
1) Dialer Storage
2) telephony.db
3) carriers
4) 12 Entitlement 310410
you shoud change the value under "apn" from "broadband" to "pta"
5) Please restart your device and you will get it!!

[Q] Any hack available to unlock APN's on T-Mobile USA One or get Hotspot working?

I'm still stock on T-Mobile network with a T-Mobile HTC One. Hotspot was working for a while and now I keep getting the prompt to add the tethering package to my plan when I connect with my iPad or other device. I had the same issue on my One S and I was able to root and flash a file to get the APNs unlocked so I could edit them. Just manually adding the epc.tmobile ANP would allow you to enable the tethering without the blocking on T-Mobiles end, using my regular unlimited data plan. Just wondering if there is a modified file available for the One yet or other method to get it to work.
This is the thread with the tool to unlock APNs on my One S:

Well....I was hoping I could just keep the stock ROM. Also, I have not decided whether I'm going to keep the phone yet. I'll just have to ride out the 14 days without the tethering and then root.

[Q] How to unlock?

I want to use a tmobile SIM on the captivate but it asks me for a code. How do I get one? I searched up guides on how to unlock it but all of them seem outdated. I upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3.5 to CM11 4.4.2 latest snapshot and rooted. I've tried the sgs unlock tool on the play store but doesn't work. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Did you see this? http://www.xda-developers.com/android/galaxy-s-sim-unlock-without-code/
I have almost the exact same question, except I mistakenly sold my phone before doing the unlocking. Now the guy I sold it to needs to get it working on a nonAT&T network. He has a sim card.
Can anyone confirm a way to get CM11 (nightly in late July) unlocked? I don't have to revert him to stock 2.1 to unlock do I? From what I read, I don't want this guy to keep trying, as it may become unlockable after a five or so different attempts. Is this still true?
Obviously, I'd prefer free. This guy is seriously unhelpful with providing his comfort level or understanding of root/brick/unlock, etc.
e-unlocker.com is one site I found. Is this legit?

There's a few way, gotta look around the forum to find it.
You'll have to be on stock firmware though, Froyo I believe (2.2) but GB (2.3) might work. The guide should mention it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure if he's capable of reverting to stock 2.2...
Is requesting an unlock code from AT&T a no go? I talked with a rep and she seemed to think it was do-able. I'm still current and paid up with Att so that isn't a problem. I need the IMEI, but no need to waste time on that if it doesnt' work.
I currently use another phone with ATT.
thanks

It should work with the unlock code. I haven't unlocked a Cappy in a very long time so I'm not sure if it needs the stock dialer. That being said, if he gets the pop-up box to enter the code, it should work.

LTE not working on CM 12.1 for verizon

I recently flashed cm on to my new droid turbo but the one thing that I can not get to work for some reason even after reflashing the image is the LTE on Verizon. Only the 3G works and even that randomly cuts out at times.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Are you on the latest release of cm 12.1 I was having this issue but updating appears to have fixed it. Make sure you are running the latest radio as well.
How do I know if I am running the latest radio or not?
I am running the latest highly release right now also
Any ideas what might be the problem?
I started having this issue as well. Everything is up to date. I even got a new sim from Verizon, but that did not help.
I have tried factory resets and even trying resurrection remix but it doesn't get 4g either. Also I can't access the apn which might be part of the problem. Maybe. But I can't figure that out either

I have had the same problem for about a week and a half, and is really starting to frustrate me.
Tried reflashing the radio SU4TL-44, resurrection remix, CM12.1, computerfreek's near stock rom, modifying the apn. Nothing has worked, except computerfreek's rom kept 4g for about a day, then lost it too. Was about to try to get a new SIM from Verizon to try that out, but won't now if it didn't help others.

I'm also having a similar issue. I'm stuck with 3g. Something to note in my case is that instead of the VZWINTERNET APN I have to use the VZWCF apn.
I was able to reflash cm and get lte to work for two days but now it is back to how it was and I can't even access the APN settings. Some how they are hidden.

That helped me be able to get into the APN setting menu but I am not sure I would need to change. There are 5 different APN profiles already made and the vzwinternet is the one selected

The way that i got lte to work for two days was to flash the stock ROM and then flash cm back on the phone. But I don't want to keep doing that every few days to keep lte working. So we need to find another solution

If it helps you, what I had to do to fix my connection is this:
I had no data. Then I changed an APN from VZWINTERNET to VZWCF (You probably won't need to do that though).
Then, I had 3g, but not 4g. To fix that, I reflashed the Turbo radio image.
If you don't have it, I can give you a TWRP zip I used for the radio image.
Good luck!

Didn't work for me unfortunately. I downloaded the zip twice just to be sure, but it was the same radio update that I had used the previously, and still didn't solve my problem. I still have 3g on multiple ROMs.
Anyone else still having this issue?

Does anyone here have the firmware for the E5 Play XT1921-3 T-Mobile variant?

To put a long story short, messed up my phone by incorrectly rooting, and wish to load up stock firmware so I can hopefully use my phone again. Anyone possibly root their devices and have a firmware backup? If anyone has the firmware for the XT1921-3 T-Mobile variant please come forward.
