Just a heads up. The Incipio bumper case is not as advertised. It isn't Moto Mod friendly, it hangs over too much on the back to allow changing of the back plates or even allow any mods to fit. I'm extremely disappointed, and going to fire off a complaint call about this.
And for the nonbelievers, I made a quick video and put it on YouTube. And the Incipio brand back plates are twice as thick as the standard Moto ones as well. They stick out past the Incipio bumper, which defeats the purpose.

Yes I was actually really letdown after buying this bumper, and I was so stoked for it to. I used it one day and now it just sits there. Total let down. The difficulty of removing and installing with back plates is damn near impossible.
The bumper case that Verizon sells is better, the lip isn't nearly as big
If you could easily change mods with the bumper wouldn't they accidentally pop/fall off or if the phone falls fly across the room? I think it's alittle tight putting on with a mod as it pretty much locks it onto the phone but I think that's fine so it won't fall off.
I have the bumper and I am pretty sure it was not implied that changing the mods was available with it installed. I like that the bumper is large enough to actually add some protection. With the back plate on it does a great job of keeping the camera off a flat surface.
Do as you want, but for me it does a fine job of actually adding protection and not being just an ornament.

I'm assuming Moto did their fair share of drop testing without a case. If the impact is hard enough, regardless of bumper, there is a chance of the back or the mod detaching. I would assume that if it releases on impact it would have a better chance of survival. Just my .02¢
As for a little tight, that's an understatement. The bumper is listed as "Mod Compatible", and it clearly isn't. It can't be used with the projector, and I'll assume it also can't be used with the hasselbad camera or the JBL speaker.

The wood ash backplate that comes with the phone keeps the camera lens off the surface too, bumper not even needed for that. As for changing the mod with it installed, even with the projector installed, you can't reinstall the bumper. If the opening on the back was the same cutout as the opening on the front, then there wouldn't be any issue. As I said, this bumper clearly isn't mod compatible. It's a blatant lie on Incipio's part. And if you're using an Incipio backplate, it sticks out past their own bumper, so where's the protection if it lands flat on its back? Say goodbye to the glass back under the shell. As for the front lip, it adds difficulty trying to touch points on the screen when typing and in certain apps. It's also a great dust collector in the edge groove.
Glad you're enjoying your purchase, I'll be modifying mine to suit my needs, however, a $30 bumper that doesn't do what it's advertised to do, and impairs the functionality of the phone isn't even worth the $15 I spent on it during the sale.
This is sad, I was thinking to buy one.
Thanks for your review.
I've been using the bumper fow two weeks now and found it quite sturdy!

It's a solid as well made product, however it's fundamentally flawed in that it doesn't do as advertised, and IMHO, way overpriced.
Finally got to trying out the camera mod. Been running the bumper with normal back since I got it. I like it. So anyway I'm able to take the camera on and off with the bumper on the phone. I cannot take the stock back off or the jbl speaker off. Nor put them on with the bumper on.
So the projector, the JBL speaker, and the backplates are not mod friendly.
Hasselbad cam is.
Wonder if the battery packs, and more so, Incipio's own battery pack, works with or fails with the bumper.

What case are you using -- and if you bought it online - from where?
Thanks!
Using a Louis Vuitton case that fit the previous HTC Fuse as well. Case is no longer available from LV tho.

That one looks pretty decent from this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835323 )
Maybe move this to accessories? I don't know!
I'm using the Body Glove case they sold at AT&T.
It looks really sharp, and feels safe; it even adds some heft that gives the phone a more solid weight and feel.
My only beef with the case is that the side buttons are hard to find, and hard to feel when pressed (makes focusing while picture taking extremely difficult).
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...sku4980540&source=ECbn000000000000O#tabModule
Under comp accessories, the Body Glove item...
I'm using the CaseMate red and black case from the AT&T store. I would have preferred it in all black as opposed to the bright red, but the thing feels very safe for taking to the gym and it adds some heft to it. The raises rubber edges on the front are a nice touch too for the few times I've had the phone face down. The buttons are very easily accessible. My only gripe would be that the two level camera button is a little bit harder to get to use for focusing-- it requires a bit more finesse as a light press will go straight to taking a picture. Other than that, if you can get past the looks of it (which really aren't that bad), I think this is a fantastic case.
Here is what I got today from eBay, the seller is Bluedot.
The fit it really good. Not too tight to activate buttons, not too loose either.
The color is a really dard brown. The flash made it look lighter than it really is.

These pictures were taken with the Focus, then I massaged them in Photoshop Elements 8
The construction seems durable. It cost $9.95 plus shipping.

This case sucks. I bought one from AT&T, and it doesn't fit correctly. You can see the gap from the case to the phone looking into the side where the power button hole is. I'm returning mine as its NOT what i would expect for $30 plus tax. Right now im using my old Nexus One pouch that i tore a small hole on the side to prevent the power button from being mushed in.
PS: to my above post. i see the same case on eBay (i have zero affiliation yet this does look authentic and not a knock off case). See
http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-Louis...315509?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3360ad80b5
The top flap does not really work due to the 'extra' height of the phone itself, so i just have it naturally fold behind the phone itself. Note in the side photo it does not touch the power button, so it works well and if i need to silence an incoming call it is easy. Removing and inserting the phone is also easy.
Again, i have zero affiliation with the eBay auction yet this case works well for me.
I have an Incipio hard case that I bought at my local AT&T store. These pics are crappy but I just made them in the last five minutes.
I found this Samsung Galaxy S case at Circuit City and it fit the Focus like a glove! It's not bad, and I found it at a retail location, so that's also kind of a bonus. Hopefully more good ones will come out soon!

I've got one too. I like it, though I also don't mind that it does not cover the top, bottom, or front of the phone.
If that's a problem, then I hope you like having a bright red case because the Body Glove is awful, which leaves your only other choice the bright-red Case-Mate.
I just ordered this, its the only Snap on Hard Case i could find. Hopefully its decent, but for $6 it was worth a try.

I'm not really a case kind of guy, but do hate the glossy surface of the back of my focus. Has anyone come across any back plates for the phone with a different surface? A back cover with a soft touch material would make the phone perfect. Thanks in advance...

The invisible shield covers come in a matte style for the back of the phone. I use it and like it.
I bought this the other day,
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004DFBBCE/ref=oss_product
So far i like it, there are nobs on the side instead of cutouts for buttons, and they work as if they weren't there.
The case protects the back camera lens and covers a bit of the front. The areas where it covers on the front basically masks the edges of the screen protector, which makes it look really clean.
The added silicon near the bottom prevents my palm/fingers from accidentally pressing the capacitive keys, which are a big plus for me
Case-Mate Red/Black POP Case is the one I have, and its the best case out. I wish they made it in ALL black. The case provides great protection, Already dropped it a few times getting out of my car, and the case held up great. You buy a phone like this please dont buy cheap arse $5.00 case from ebay. Dont buy the Incipio, that case is garbage. No protection at all.
Hi guys, just wanted to do a quick review of the Noreve N7 case I've been patiently waiting for the past 3 weeks or so. I wanted a real leather case and I did a lot of research on them before finally settling on these guys, and I'm not disappointed. The wait was well worth it.
Noreve offer a bunch of custom case finishes, so I went with the black perpétuelle couture case, which has a diamond stitching. I thought it would look better than the standard black, which everyone seems to have, and I was not let down. Custom orders take 14 business days to complete, and the company were very exact in their delivery time, which was a plus.
The case was 55 euros or 72 dollars. They offer free shipping with DHL to anywhere in the world.
It comes in a very nice box, and within the box there's a bright red cloth pouch for the case itself. Very excellent presentation.
Please excuse the crappy pictures. I did the best I could with my Galaxy S.

The texture (and the smell!) of the leather is outstanding. Feels very nice to the touch, and I admit to smelling it because it smells like a new pair of high end leather shoes
View of the side, bottom and back ports. The top is fully covered.
View of the back (note the little grills for the speakers - nice touch)
View from the front with the case open.
And finally, here it is in landscape mode.
One thing which was really important to me was the functionality of the sleep cover, and on this case it works like a dream. No problems whatsoever, not even when you fold the front back when you go to read something. It makes the tablet feel much more secure in the hand, and I prefer the feel of real leather as opposed to the textured N7 back, though that is nice and grippy as well.
All in all, I'm very pleased with this. It was well worth the wait. It's very functional, comfortable, and secure. Not too much bulk added to the device, and what's added feels like a dream, anyway. So I would say it's well worth it for anyone looking for a genuine leather case. These guys really seem to know what they're doing.
On a side note, their customer service people are extremely friendly and helpful.
Here's a link for those who may be interested : http://www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/Asus_Google_Nexus_7_Tradition_leather_case.html
Cheers.
Very nice review! I almost got one of those cases but opted for the Seidio Active case. It was a tough decision! LOL
I do want want of those, but having already spent the same amount on a treegloo case, it's hard for me to pull the trigger on this, especially when I have the Seidio case already.
The case looks really nice and finally see a real leather bound case with quality. The look reminds me of the Vaja Cases made in Argentina and I can literally smell the leather when reading your review lol.
Now I see that you love the case, but is there anything you do not like about it?

Thanks! It's really weird because I was going back and forth between Noreve and Seidio myself
There is one thing I don't like about it, and that's this :
The top isn't exactly flush, I tried to capture the little gap the best I could. It's nothing major and it doesn't bother me, because the case is still kinda stiff because the leather isn't broken in yet. After some use I'm sure it will go away, and besides, you can really only tell when you look at it from that angle. It doesn't affect the functionality at all.
Another thing is that the pogo pins aren't covered. I don't think the guys at Noreve knew what they were exactly at the time of designing this, so they decided to play it safe and leave it open. I don't see how you could put this on a dock while it's still in the case. But if I were Noreve I probably would have played it safe and left them open as well.
Those are the only two little things. Other than that, it made me like my N7 even more - feels so much better in the hand.
Thanks for the detailed review.
Is it just me, or does some of the finishing, particularly on the side views, look a little DIY? The cut outs just don't appear straight at all.
No it's not just you. Because it's hand made, the cut outs are not 100% symmetrical. It's apparent on the micro USB cutout, and also pogo pin connector cutout.
I'd personally rather have tiny imperfections like that for that human quality, as opposed to it being cut and stitched by machines. But that's just me. Thanks for your comment.
Interested in this case for my N7 as well.
But I would like to check if the front cover can be folded fully to the back? especially when using in portrait mode.
Yes it can, that's no problem at all for this case. I mentioned it as part of the review as well.

If it didn't work properly it would drive me crazy, as I read a lot on my tablet. I did a lot of research on this functionality before I bought the case. So yes, you can fold the front cover all the way back and the magnet will not shut the screen off. It works perfectly.

Nice thread revival to laugh at what was already a deeply ignorant comment.
I'm not that great at prose. Bullet points for all of you!
Bought from here. Also comes in white and red.
Notes:
The great big DANGER sticker and Big Scary Laser sticker is something I bought separately.
Pros:
It's 6 freaking dollars!
Does not feel cheap
Volume/power buttons retain their 'click'
Reasonable protection
High lip for drop protection
Lip does not impede touching the edge of the screen
Stand actually useful (comfortable angle)
Slippery enough to slide into my pocket, grippy enough to comfortably stay on a table
Does not attract fingerprints at all
Fit is very tight, phone absolutely won't come out on its own
Feels comfortably rugged but not ridiculously so
Would not be afraid to drop the phone whilst in the case
Cons:
Volume/power buttons have very little definition on the case, very easy to accidentally press volume down whilst holding the phone
Stylus cutout could be a tad bigger
Larger headphone connectors may not fit
Larger microUSB connectors may not fit
Can be a little fiddly to get the phone out of the case due to tight fit
Neutral:
Stand only has one angle (I like it for the simplicity, but each to their own)
Stand feels a little flimsy (I don't think it will break unless someone smacks the phone down whilst standing)
No dust covers on the jacks (I personally like this as I hate having to remove dust covers when I want to plug anything in)
Wrapup:
For $6 shipped I couldn't be happier.
Unless I find something hugely better or the otterbox commuter drops in price by $20, I'm sticking with this.

I've got the same case, modded it to use with my flip cover and it works great. With the flip cover on I can fold it back and prop the stand on it or it lays flat in front like a keyboard on a laptop. The only problem I have with it is the kickstand is a bit flimsy.

I put the flip cover on, then put the case on and marked it just 1mm-2mm from the top and bottom of the flip cover then removed the case and cut it down to the little groove along the back edge, then cut along the groove. Afterwards I sanded the back edge with 200-1800 grit sand paper and it looks factory finished now.

Monty, i found one exact replica of the Otterbox Commuter for $5 and mod it to have a thin kickstand.

I spliced in the kickstand from a $9 TPU casing. The point is it's more protected from drops & has a functional stand without the $70 cost from where I come from.

Sorry, but in terms of quality these are in a different category. Two months ago I said to myself after getting a handful of ebay cases - hey they all cost as much as one of the premium one. Then, I compared it to those from UAG, Case-Mate, and Otterbox - and the quality and fitment of ebay cases was pale in comparison. They will offer a similar level of protection, I will not deny that. But you will see how brittle plastic material is, how hard to push volume/power buttons, how flimsy and stretchy silicone inserts, how poorly inner/outer shells interconnect, how flimsy kickstand is, the silicone/plastic gets a blue shade from your jeans pocket, and how poor some of the port openings are. Regarding price of UAG - that's expected when a brand new product is released and there is such a high demand for it, thanks to a great reputation of their S3 cases.
Here's pics of it on the phone itself

Great to see it in action. Now it's just the phone that's missing. But I think the back cover goes on the back or the phone and not on the case itself. Since plastic on glass will create those smudge effect that doesn't look too good tbh.
Got my cases shipped 18th of March but guess it takes abit longer to ship to Sweden than the US. Got the Crystal Clear and Smoke Crystal.

Yea realized later that it should go on the back of the phone's glass back and not on the case lol.
My Emerald Green should look stunning in there, thanks for the posting
is the crystal clear flexible? it says TPU and PC. can't tell if it's more soft like a TPU or hard.

The edges/sides are TPU, the back is clear PC.

Yes Poetique is right. Ultra Hybrid has hard plastic back and a tpu frame. The Liquid Crystal has a similar look but is all TPU if you want something similar but more flexible.
Just bought this one!

If you can let update us on the fit. I got their thin fit model and it's really loose. and not snug like the same case for the S4. Apparently a lot of people are complaining about it.

I got the same one as the op and really like the thinness and feel. Good grip
thanks for the pics
i just ordered 3 of them from ebay
50usd for 3 of them includes the shippment
I actually had no idea these things came with clear protectors for the back. Only complaint I have is that they don't fit around the camera and flash/health sensor very well, and will be distracting if the phone's out of the case at any point. And if you want to temporarily switch cases, the poor cutout will be distracting. Almost perfect, but just barely disappointing :T
At the same time, though, I'm not sure if other companies offer that back adhesive.

You guys should seriously consider the Spigen NeoHybrid. Back of case is ruberized. Sides of case, meaning total peripheral is metal. Actually feels superb to hold and you still have that sense of a metal body the naked GalaxyS6 Edge comes with. Nice larger cutouts for headphone plug as well as USB for those with larger connectors. Absolutely no regrets. I did NOT opt for the optional free front screen protector. I like the look and feel of a phone with the screen as is.

I mentioned this to Spigen, they said it's so that it doesn't catch on the case?? Not sure how that's possible, as I'm fairly sure they could have made it go right to the edge of the glass and not have any issues with the case, but oh well, maybe (I hope) they tried that before making them in this smaller size
Is it mandatory to place the back screen protector when using this case? Will the case actually scratch the back glass? Thanks in advance.
you have to decide if its worth it to you to be protected, or you don't care..frankly, since I will probably jump in 6 months to the next great thing, I don't care if the back of the phone has a few scuffs, since it doesn't affect the ability to jump with T mobile. Plus, who stares at the back of their phone anyways..
I did put it on anyways, since it was there, and I figured might as well.
But if you buy it outright, or plan on keeping the phone for a while, you might feel differently

I have this case. My phone seems to move around in it. I'm guessing the case is a little to big.

Just an update on this. I have the same case since day 1 of owning the phone. It's got an ungodly amount of scratches, more than any phone I've seen before. Additionally, it has a green tint around the sides. Very disappointed. I would complain to the makers of it but I'm out of the country currently.
I received this today and put it on my G4. Love the dust cap feature.

Nice case! Is it slippery or does it have good grip? Is it easy to take off and do you think it would damage the leather from taking off and on? Thanks.
Grip wise, it can stick on your hand. For my plastic cover its easy. Not sure for leather. Well its definitely feel more secure than bare cover.

I also have this (amongst others) and like the fact it comes with a template that you can create custom covers with (Eg cut out and put photos between the phone and the case)!
Might get this case tittle says i5 supports leather back...
That's the one I ordered. Can't wait to try it.
Amazon says it IS compatible with leather, anyone try it yet?
Thanks for posting, I just bought an Incipio case at Sprint, but don't like the way the edges look. I may end up getting this one instead, since Spigen's Amazon page says their cases don't work with the Leather G4.

Thank you for the review and for the pictures/feedback. I ordered one as well.
Thanks for sharing the pics. I ordered this case along with a tempered glass protector. Can't wait to receive them!
Is there a lanyard cut out like the previous fusion cases?

Yes, for lanyards or charms.
How well do you think this will protect from a drop? Like say, 4 feet onto cement?
Btw, great idea having your kid do the presentation. Make sure to tell her, great job!

I've just got this case today, and to be honest I'm not impressed, to me it looks cheap and spoils the overall look of the phone, the dust caps are a pain to open and keep trying to spring back to the closed position (might be better with use). On the plus side it fits fine with the leather back and shows it off, and should offer decent protection.
Pity it looks cheap and bulks up an already big phone even further.
I got this case as well - it looks great, I like that it has rubbery sides and plastic back - makes the phone feel more secure when I'm holding it or if its in the car mount,
The only thing I didn't like is that the case was so tight it was hard to fit on the phone (I have the plastic/white ceramic G4) and the dust cap for the headphone jack wasn't fitting correctly and useless really so I cut it off and ordered a pack of clear ones off ebay

I shared the same concern, but was able to get it to 'slip' into the proper slot. I think these are meant to stay well tucked in, in order to prevent dust slipping by. It works fine now that I've learned how to secure the plug-ins.
I got this case too. It's made of very good materials and I think it gives good protection all around, but I don't like much how the phone looks like with the case on. I could live with it if it wasn't soooo tight. It's very hard to put it on, and even harder to take it off (the back door gets stuck to the case). I was gonna keep it, but I'm afraid I could damage the leather when trying to take it off, so I'm going to return it. I decided to have my phone naked with a tempered glass screen protector, and I purchased one of those universal waterproof pouches that I'll use when going to the beach.
