Hi all, please help me out on this. I got a problem of "boot loop" on this T-mobile Note 4 - SM-N910T after update to 6.0.1. I saw a post that said you can flash with SM-N910T3 and then you can downgrade to 4.4.4 kitkat. I used Odin to load SM-N910T3 (got it from Sammobile) to my SM-N910T, but I think I got myself into more problem. While I was flash using Odin, the fail message display like this:
ODIN: flash read failure
ERROR: Thereis no pit binary
Can anyone explain to me why is this happening? What can I do to fix this problem?
Note: I never root my phone before and don't know how. I did some searching and see people flash Pit File but also there are some warning that you should not flash pit file unless you know what you are doing. In this case, I'm a newbie and my knowledge about flashing or rooting is very limited that is why I'm so hesitate to flash pit file, so please take it easy on me. Please show me what to do or where to look for this problem. Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi,
I'm probably gonna flash a new firmware on my Galaxy S for the first time via odin.
I've found many opinions regarding this, so I would be happy to hear your thoughts - Should Re-Partition be checked or not?
Also, what version of Odin and PIT file would you recommend?
The firmware version I'm about to flash is I9000JPJG8.
Thanks!
Hello All,
Good Day
i wonder if someone can help me with how Odin using Odin to flash the firmware I9000PTRJV8 OR I9000OJVJV9...
i have downloaded the Firmware and have extracted the file but it's not like the rest of the firmwares files (Modem, Phone & CSC) it's Different (Boot, Modem & Sbl) and other files.
Q: can someone tell me what's the steps of flashing in this case?
FYI that the current firmware in the device (i9000) is I9000XENJV4 and previously it was I9000OXAJVQ.
i really appreciate your quick response
Thanks
Check flashing tutorial in general-section..it's sticky one, you can't miss it.

Hey guys,
Strange one (well for me anyway) was on the chinese ICS and was using Odin to flash a KKA rom i'd got from sammobile once it flashed and booted i had tons of FC's on Acore etc and couldnt even get past the press android to continue screen..
So i downloaded KJ1 firmware from sammobile and it has 4 files and i've only ever seen 3.. these are
CODE_N7000XXKJ1_CL627135_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OXAKJ1.tar.md5
KERNEL_N7000XXKJ1_CL627135_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar
MODEM_N7000XXKJ1_REV_05_CL1067428.tar.md5
Ok so CSC and MODEM are easy but what do i do with the other 2? I put the top one in PDA and it failed the flash right at the very end which i assume is when the kernel is flashed..
Any Help?
Shameless bump.. but only as everyone has their heads in the ICS threads
Really need help here as i've never had 4 files before.. anybody know what to do with the extra?

Hello I am sorry to be a nuisance but I wonder if someone could help me. I made a mistake I think in updating to 2.3.6 baseband N7000XXLA4 kernel N7000XXLA6. I have been reading the posts and as they suggest downgrade via PC Odin. My concern however is if I do this will my flash counter increase and will I get the yellow triangle?
Thanks in advance

When you flash any stock ROM with PC odin, it won't raise counter, nor it give triangle.
Remember, never flash any custom ROM/Kernel with PC Odin.
You are on right track, Download any older, directly rootable ROM from here and flash with PC Odin
Hijacking the thread a little bit since I noticed the Doc was here and it involves downgrading to stock ROM
I'm on a rooted LC1 rom and want to downgrade to this stock rom... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20208273
I'm downloading the file right now and have about 45min left so I don't know exactly what's inside the archive.
But... do I really need Odin to downgrade? In my case... isn't it enough to flash the rom using CWM?
Brgds... /Tubgirl
Thankyou so much for replying Dr Ketan

Update:
Download has finished and the file inside the archive is called N7000XBKK4_N7000OXXKK5_N7000XXKK5_HOME.tar.md5
I renamed the extension to .rar which allowed me to extract it. Inside are the following files...
boot.bin
cache.img
factoryfs.img
hidden.img
modem.bin
param.lfs
Sbl.bin
zImage
Any assistance on how to downgrade to this rom would be highly appreciated
Can it be done with CWM recovery?
Brgds... /Tubgirl
First.of all, dont manipulate qith file name.
Just extracted upto .tar.md5 is enough.
Another thing you have cwm (it needs cf root cwm, not stock recovery) then you can flash it with that, if you want to keep root intact.
You can.also use pc odin to flash any stock.ROM. With pc odin u will lose root.

Thanks Doc.
In my case I want to lose root because I'm sending my Note in for repair. Can I just flash with CWM recovery (choosing to flash everything including the kernel) and I'll be back to an early Stock ROM without root?
Thanks again Doc for taking your time
Brgds... /Tubgirl
Then best way to flash it with pc odin.
This will auto unroot u too.

Thanks again... flashing with Odin was easy and it didn't increase the counter.
Unfortunately it didn't solve the problems I'm having so I guess I have to send my Note in for repair. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577638

Hi kramevans,
To ease your concern and worries, try watching this video from Ashwin:

I myself had the same doubt until I watch this video and perform the downgrade and rooting, step by step...and am now on custom rom...

Thank you doc, planning to root/flash my note to ICS. I don't know where to start(afraid in some case) to do it.
can we unroot our phone to get back warranty???
Flash any Stock ROM with PC Odin, will unroot device.
Just so I understand...
I have just bought a GN7000 off contract, so unlocked and unbranded. It has the same LA6, 2.3.6 and radio as the OP.
I've some experience with Android because I've rooted my HTC DesireHD, but not a lot. I want root to run Titanium and some other things that require root but have no real desire to flash additional roms (certainly not at the moment).
If I understand what I've read, and the sheer number of different posts and cross referencing means its hard to get a clear definitive view of what the current state of play is but as I understand it the options seem to be:
1. To root the phone without getting the warning counter you need to flash (with odin) an old samsung firmware then you can root it. If you upgrade after this you will need to wipe the phone and start again, and, you will need to use other tools too.
2. I also read of Mobile Odin and the post on that seems to indicate it can root the newer ROMs, but does it cause the warning counter to get updated or is it safe from that? Can I un-root a phone rooted in this way?
From the look of things option 2 seems the way to go, if I can understand the answers to the questions - which I can't seem to from the posts I've read.
Any help/advice would be most welcome.
Cheers
Hi guys. Iām new entry with N7000, from all point of views and I need your help.
I have this firmware on my phone: PDA N7000XXLA6; PHONE N7000XXLA4;
CSC N7000OXXLA1 (note I am from Romania ā Orange carrier ā and the phone is unlocked).
Before custom ROMs, I understand that I must do a downgrade.
Can you, please, tell me:
- what stock ROM should I choose (from those posted by Dr. Ketan) for downgrade?
- is it necessary to do a factory reset or any other thing before flashing stock ROM with PC Odin?
Thank you
Done it.
Thank you all for your posts.
Can somebody give me firmware with csc, pda, pit..and the others files for flashing in odin? Is there such firmware ?
For what you open second tread for same problem for questions another tread its not chat read rules of posting in dewelopment section

Umm, actually there is a 4 part firmware for Mini 2. It's S6500BVLD2, which is Orange branded Polish firmware, the same my phone came when I bought it. But when I tried to flash it, Odin was giving me errors. Maybe because there's no pit file?
It's here: https://hotfile.com/dl/159174614/d441535/GT-S6500_IDE_S6500BVLD2_S6500IDELC6_S6500BVLD1.zip.html
pit file is only needed when re-partitioning...
But why Odin gave me errors?
When I loaded all 4 files, the Odin got stuck at flashing the included Bootloader. It didn't do anything, as I've unplugged the phone, and no changes were made.
When I loaded the files without the Bootloader, it has FAIL! while flashing the modem I think.

Use official S 6500 (not D) firmware!
This is the S6500 firmware! It's the same as my phone shipped with! I wanted to make it as stock as possible after I've installed Peter's Rom, as I wasn't full satisfied by it, but the firmware simply wouldn't flash, so I've switched for now until CM 10 or official JB to S6500XXLK2 (CSC: DBL, german Debitel). It works fine, and the phone is successfully recognized by Kies.

And SmartcardService.apk! This is also an app dedicated for NFC! Not many people know that!
I'll try this - which 3 files do I need?
I loaded the files in ODIN but ODIN can't flash - just stops !

Don't bother with installing the 4 part firmware. I tried it too, and it can't be done. Plus, it's not for your device.
Flash a firmware (via PDA section) from here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-S6500D and you're be fine. You don't need a 4 part firmware to flash your phone, and restore it back to stock.
Did you saw my problem - even when I flash it with firmware i still can't get to the recovery..
