Well the googlefu must be nonexistent as well as the ability to search this forum. Look in the guide wiki thread stickied to the top of this very forum. There you find a link to wiki with all the guides currently available. You will also find a guide on how to root with ubuntu (linux). This will give you a good base on what you need to do. You will also find a guide on how to push a file to you phone combine your knowledge and enjoy.

you should post on the Vibrant forums - there are many unlock methods posted there in addition to what is posted here.
What methods have you tried?

This method works if some of your NV_Data.bin is encrypted and unlock code can't be found. A similar method worked for me. This is posted on the vibrant forums too.
