hello guys,
~ 10 days ago I`ve purchased a new OnePlus 3T A3010 model and today I`ve seen an issue when i plugged it in to charge : at the bottom at the screen it showed Charging message, instead of Dash Charge. Also, the led was red color, instead of blue (this is the color for Dash Charging ). Did anyone encountered this problem so far? I`m using the original chinese charger model with an adapter for european wall chargers.
Best regards
Dash Charge works only with the official charger and cable.
I'd make sure all connectors are properly plugged in.
Another possibility is if the charger can not get enough power from the wall due to the adapter and/or varying power specifications in regions.
Thanks for reply. Yeah, that must have been the case, probably the power from the wall was too low,i've changed the source of power and it worked. The adapter is good, its the one received from the store i bought the phone.

My HD2 has just killed it's second car charger, grr! Has anyone else had this problem with generic micro USB chargers? Or genuine HTC ones?
The power light comes on in the charger but nothing happens on the phone. My car holder charger was in 2 sections, a mini USB cable to the cradle and then a converter to micro USB in the cradle. If you swap the mini USB cable the rest works, but with the broken cable, the cradle power indicator still lights up.
Thanks in advance if anyone's had the same problem or got some advice.

How hot is the phone?
If it is too hot (usually from a car charger in a hot environment), the Leo will not charge. The HD2 will blink green and orange.
Hello dizzi141,
Same problem here, already one car charger down. I have a red led burning on the car charger but nothing happens on the device ...
Grtz
My charger is working but charger is getting very hot and it charging the phone very slowly like 7-10 min one percent (%1) any way to fix this problem?
It's not a heat thing as far as I can tell, it works one minute and then next time it's dead. The phone doesn't recognise it's plugged into a charger even.
So the led is not blinking at all? (when plugged in to charger)
Shure that its your htc hd2 killing and not the car ? Cheapass chargers suks bigtime
Power consumption
Could it be that your generic charger is rated at 500mA and the HD2 can draw somewhere between 1500 and 2000mA ?
That might blow a fuse (or burn up the voltage regulator if unfused) in the "el-cheapo" car charger..
Personally, I'm using a 1000mA USB adapter from dealextreme.com
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.34040
and a standard USB cable.
Works perfectly for me.
(Sure, I might get the orange/green LED, but that's because of heat. I get that with original charger too, if it's too hot when I charge.)
Just my two cents...
I used to have a lower power generic car charger but it blew after a couple of months of occasional use.
For 'peace of mind' I brought the official HTC one as advised in the accessories section of their website, it's still working fine now after about 3 months of occasional use (just have to wiggle it around a bit to make a good connection in the socket sometimes).
I do have to align the screen mount to an aircon vent on the dash to keep it cool though, it overheats in no time - and that's just uk heat!
I haven't had any problems with heat or charging. I use this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882021129 , you can get them pretty cheap if you watch their email promos.
I'd agree with Bonzo.
I have tested few chargers (Samsung branded including ).
Everything what was not marked as 1A (1000mA) output was useless.
i use the origininale htc`s car chargers.
they work flawless.
CC-C200 for the hd2
i had a CC-C100 before.
I bought a used nexus 6. It's in good shape. I immediately installed twrp and flashed cataclysm (my fav). This was all done on day one. I began using the device as normal. Upon plugging the device in to the charger (moto quick charger) I noticed it was charging VERY slowly. I checked the battery usage menu in settings and noticed that it said "charging over USB.". I was plugged into the wall. So, I thought, alright the guy sold it to me with a borked charger. I tried my old note 5 quick charger and it seems to work fine. Then, just for additional trouble shooting, I tried using the moto charger on my wife's lg g3. It worked fine. Seems the issue only happens on the nexus 6 with the moto quick charger. I searched with Google and found:
https://m.reddit.com/r/nexus6/comme...is_charging_slowly_says_it_is/?ref=readnext_3
Anyone know anything about this, or knows of a fix? I can use my note 5 charger, but my obsessive and anal tech ways keep me from just letting it go.
Thanks in advance!
I'm having a similar issue with two different chargers:
The Included Charger (the one that comes with the phone)
and
Aukey 12W / 2.4A Home Travel USB Wall Charger Adapter

In my case, what happens is that the phone intermittently start and stops charging while plugged in. Not sure if it actually slows down the charge process though...
Yesterday I've received my Tab S2 8.0". After the first charge I connected the tablet to my computer to upload some files and I get a red "X" on the battery and the message: "Slow charger connected"
In the notification area I get a constant red "Device charging slowly. To charge faster, use the original charger".
Is this normal? Cause I'm using the USB cable that came with the device and tried with USB3.0 and USB2.0 with the same results.
Oh, extra info! The tablet was bought in France, I'm from Argentina.

Yes it's normal.
USB ports cannot put out as much current as a decent charger (like the one the tablet came with). Hence it charges more slowly using USB (or indeed some inferior or lower powered plug-in chargers), and it's warning you that it is doing so. I think the maximum a USB2 port can provide is about 500mA, with USB3 about 900mA or so.
Compare that to the proper plug-in charger, which is 2A (if I remember correctly).
Some motherboards etc do have higher current USB ports for charging etc, but that's non-standard and they are usually specially labelled as such.
Oh, thanks for the help. I got a little scare with the warning.
I got the same tablet, and also noticed this warning about battery charing slowly, and asking me to use original charger.
It's working resonably ok with original charger, though it charges slow with other chargers with the same AMP rating. E.g. it charges slowly with the larger iPad charger, which is also 2 AMP rated ...
Charing with iPad charger is so slow, that when I use the device with during charging, it drains faster than it charges! Quick unusual ...
Anyone? Any comments?
Theres an excellent app called Ampere which gives you info on the tablets charging and power consumption - useful and interesting.
Cant post links yet so just search for it on Play
Also don't forget that (when not built-into the charger) the cable is also important to the amount of current reaching the tablet.
The best charger in the world may well struggle if a long cable with hair-thin high resistance wiring is used to transfer the power into the tablet.
Lastly even though many chargers are labelled as 5v 2A, they may not actually be able to provide that under load, and if things drop when a hungry device like a tablet is connected then things will slow up.
I have a few 5v 2A chargers which come up as slow charging, whereas others which were more purposefully designed (e.g. the 5v 2A charger from my old Nexus 7) work just as well as the supplied Samsung one.

this is such onfortunate ongoing issue
i got my Tab S2 - SM-T715Y in Thailand as i am backpacking Asia ..
I know the warranty is per country .. so I can not use it where I am now - in Vietnam .. or back home in USA
I realized that this was a major factor before buying .. so I can go through my credit cards extended warranty ..
in the future I will buy Acer or Asus or alike that have international warranty ..
yesterday I was on a road trip
and I was using my 12V car charger
and then a battery bank .. and I think it rigered this problem or fact that I drained my S2 to 0%
fact is that now it is showing "slow charger connected" .. I am using the original charger and cable
now it is slowly *discharging* when connected to AC!!
also will try to whipe the cache..
this is so terrible
I am losing faith in Samsung :/ (had charging issues with my Note 3 .. 8 months in .. motherboard issue)
I can not find a solution to this problem
I am thinking of putting it in a refrigirator? maybe it will do something to the battery?
Hi everyone
I bought myself two Samsung wireless chargers (double pack) and tried them with the original Samsung S6 edge quick charger, with my old Sgs2 charger cable and with a cheap no name charger cable.
With all setups I have the same problem: almost every night at some point the qi charger starts blinking an stops charging. Both of them do. I do not know if it has anything to do with receiving messages or high cpu loads (when syncing/backup apps kick in at night) but this is really annoying.
I am not using any case or anything. Pure S6 edge. Right side up.
Does anybody have any idea? I mean, shouldn't it work properly?
Mine does that too with my Note 5. When I take it off it keeps blinking blue until I disconnect the cable. Seems like those chargers are not that good.
The only way I can Wireless Charge mine is using the Fast Charger that came with it. Using any other charger in the QI charger does not seem to work.
I have the same problem, i'm using the wall charger and cable that came with my phone, same problem at some random point the wireless charger starts blinking and stops charging, i think the problem its in the cable cause i move the cable around a bit and starts charging again, the weird part it's that this does not happens when i charge the phone directly from the cable.
will be sending mine back. really poor product. unusual for samsung
no idea how this made number one qi charger on amazon. completely unreliable
I bought a qi charger from ebay and i had the same problem with you, while was charging was disconnected. Finally i use my s6 edge stock charger and cable i connected it with the chinese charger and all perfect.. I send message to ebay seller with this problem and his gave me back partial refund...
I'm solved that issue with a blackberry cable.
Using standard plug and cable for my qi charger and when I put my s6 edge on have no problems at all strange how some do and some don't get it
tried cheap chinese cable, tried original samsung slow charging cable and tried the original fast charging cable that came with the s6 edge. all showed the same behaviour. i bought the double pack so got two qi chargers and both behaved the same.
maybe it is a software thing?
whatever it is, it renders the wireless charging capability useless

Try to find another phone to test on your qi chargers.. if the same problems just forget that wireless charging excists.. if not sell it and buy another one..
currently trying the choetech and so far it works flawlessly. i wonder why samsung messed up their chargers so badly

Yea mine did that to so I purchased DreamQi Wireless Charging Dual Alarm Clock w/ Bluetooth by VoltNow and just let it charge overnight with no problems. Its not fast charging but my S6 edge charges from 0 to 100 in about 1.5 hours with no charging issues when I have a notification or its fully charged.
wireless charger
I tried the Samsung flat round wireless, didn't work most of the time, exchanged it for the Tylt slanted upright, works flawlessly every time.
at home, i use the charger that came with the phone, but i need something new for the office.
what are you using?
Ended up buying this charger: http://www.amazon.com/Charger-SpigenĀ®-Adapter-MacBook-Surface/dp/B019MUE3R4
My original charger just stopped working this morning. I tried with an old Micro-USB Cable (with type C Adapter) on a Samsung charger and it works fine. Guess will be using that for now or shouldn't I?
Using the original LG charger + choetech chargers. Although I've had one choetech charger stop working completely, and they don't seem to charge as quickly as the LG charger (even when the phone says "rapid charging").
Not many options out there, but I recommend getting an OEM or Google charger.
