I am an owner of Oneplus 2 and I'm considering to buy Oneplus 3T. Should I buy it? How is the battery life compared to 1+2? Oneplus 3T tends to overheat just like 1+2? Thanks in advance for the answers

I was the owner of an OnePlus One and bought this one because my OPO was broken.
Was it worth the money? Definitely yes
No problems with OOS 3.5.3, no overheating, Antutu benchmark was blasting 166k and battery around 2,5 days.
Changed to Cm13 (the very first underclocked version) and have no 3.5 days with around 2 hours calls, 3h SoT and 6 hours activity (hearbooks at night).
i upgraded from OP2, it completely worth the money
i guess op2 is the worst device that made by OP
I upgraded from the OP2 and the 3T was TOTALLY worth the upgrade! I like it so much better! Everything is better. Battery, heat, performance, camera, etc.
Not only is it worth upgrading from OP2 (which I owned), it's arguable worth leaving the Pixel XL for (which I did today).

It's worth the money!!!
Last year I bought a OP2. I came from an HTC One m7 (4 years old) and went back! OP2 is in my opinion the most fake smartphone ever made. It's an Octacore with 4 cores loked... Otherwise it's getting to hot.... Just compare it with other devices with ab Qcom 810 and you see it.
Now I got my OP3T 3days ago. And this is the first phone I'm very happy with since years!
Fast, smooth, nice screen and a full aluminum body!
Did I told you about dash charge?
OP2 --> OP3T : Nice upgrade

I'm the proud owner of the OP3T since last week. Honestly, I'm very positive about the OP2, so I gave him to my stepsun who's OPX has broken.
The most important improvements as far as I can say after 1 week using my OP3T I confirm he's sooooo fast and smooth, feels great in the hand and the 16 pixels front camera is amazing. I'll keep you posted about my further experiences

I left the Pixel XL for the 1+3T because of the bang for the buck. $350 less for very similar specs

The choice is yours man!
Yes it is. I went from a OP2 to OP3T and love it. Much better feel in the hand, much better camera and quick.
I came from the OP2 and i have to say: no, the upgrade isn't really necessary, if you don't miss the possibility of a 128 GB memory. Battery life is a little better, but not more.
If you understand to adjust your OP2 it is absolutely not "the worst device, made by Oneplus". That's rubbish. The OP2 is a very good and nice device with certain suboptimal points, which are easily to compensate... Heating CPU and so on..
For me the OP2 always works in a proper way.
The OP3T works very good as well, maybe a LITTLE better and it's CPU won't overheat. But it isn't worlds apart from OP2...
Just my 2 cents...
Cheers

Is it worth the upgrade at this point, having bought the OPO 2 years ago

Beside the 100mAh of missing battery the 3 is of course better in every aspect. But if you are happy with your one dont upgrade. If you arent simply do it.
Thanks very much, I'll see if I can get one when I get home!

Even then, 100mAh won't matter considering the gains in efficiency of the 820's 14nm versus the 28nm of the 801. The DDR4 as well. In fact I'd expect it to generally have better battery life than the OPO for just those two reason alone.
I was very pleased with my OPO, however a family member broke their stupid cheap tracfone LG device running antique version of android, so to help them out, I sold them my OPO 64gb and ordered the new Oneplus 3, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The new phone is great, and they are extremely happy with my old OPO.
The only rough part has been all the tutoring they have needed to fully benefit from the more modern android OS.
This will be easier for me moving forward however, as I have installed CM13 on both phones, so it will be easy for me to guide them in their questions that will inevitably come along.
Yes, it is absolutely worth upgrading. I hate the term flagship killer, and no the OnePlus 3 isn't one, it's a flagship in its own right.

I love my OPO but my new OP3 is better in every aspect, I never felt the need to upgrade to OPX or OP2 until the OP3 arrived. My wife still has her OPO and mine it's in the drawer as a backup phone just in case.

I upgraded from OPO to OP3 last week and it's really worth it.
Apart from a few wifi issues I'm facing, the phone is awesome. Overall much faster and everything is better - performance, camera, etc. If you're looking for a new phone then go for it.
That being said, I wasn't really facing any issues with my OPO. It was super smooth and still gave decent battery life.
Can anyone please tell me how better is the camera performance on op3 compared to opo. I'm planning to buy & I've opo for 1.5 years.

Hey I got a link which shows the new OP3 T with a new color : Gunmetal
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:QcIugThvkS4J:https://oneplus.net/3T/specs
Will you upgrade ?
Just to get a Snapdragon 821 instead of a 820 ?
I am staying so as the developers
Boefflo tweeted he aint buying another or switching to it.
Nops but the 128gb and the gunmetal is the only thing that attracts me but not worth the hassle lets wait for opo4 now and update lol
For me Gunmetal should be the official color since the OP3 release !
Looks so nice !
Seriously.......OP should not release this if its real......Just give OP3 community breathing room. It would suck to see Fragmented development/support. As much as I want the 128 GB, I'll wait and hope OP4 has 128 GB.
Hopefully the devs stay with the OP3 so I don't have to switch as it seems pointless to me.
If the rear camera is the same as the OnePlus 3 (as the link suggests - Sony IMX 298) then I'm not in a rush to upgrade.
New promo videos are up on YouTube for the new oneplus 3T and the oxygen os.

According to one of user in reddit who got reply from oneplus "Thank you for reaching OnePlus, Dan. No, we are not going to dicontinued the product however we are still waiting for the update from our Main Headquarters as to when it will be back in stock. What we can suggest is, please continue to stay tuned to our forums or website from time to time."
Btw op3 is still available in India and some European countries
http://www.xda-developers.com/exclu...at-it-means-for-the-future-of-your-oneplus-3/
"However, the OnePlus 3Tâ??s battery is?*not physically bigger, rather it went through a safe voltage change from 4.35 volts to 4.4 volts?*(which explains the 13% increase in mAh, clever huh?)."
The whole thing appears to be mostly a non-issue to me........unless 16MP selfies is what gets you excited!! In that case you better pre-order that OP3T right away........and maybe get your hair done.
Here is the link https://oneplus.net/3t?utm_source=O...il&utm_term=0_7a427be021-1b80dee875-183566697
Can't seem to understand why oneplus would do this
I just don't get it. Is the original OP3 getting phased out? I see little reason why would they want to keep the original..
I just got the OP3 on Saturday. I am still with the return window.. Prolly gonna keep it. The $40 bucks ok, but you're looking to have this phone in December..
I'm relieved. It's a non issue the specs aren't worth the extra money and the devs already have our OP3 anyway can't see many of them changing. I'll bet the source will be easily modified to provide roms for both phones too.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
@ShadowRii That's the only thing making sense and one reason we won't see a price drop of the OP3.
I can't see how they could satisfy the demand for both phones.
With the new pricing of the OP3T they nearly "killed" the demand for the OP3.
So they switch a "currently out of stock cause of missing parts" to "currently out of stock due to high demand".
Who ever had this idea at OnePlus should get a bonus.
Good work
@ephumuris
Not worth? Nearly 10 % faster CPU, 13% bigger battery, better front camera for 10% higher price?
If somebody already owns an OP3, I'm with you but if you should decide between those two now... Would be a no brained for me.
Imho this pricing sounds fair
Well I'm officially out. Some amazing hardware specs, completely and UTTERLY let down by its extremely limited use outside of a few northern hemisphere countries.
Australian's who want fast 4G data will not buy this one. I'm one of them.
Bravo, Oneplus.
RoOSTA
Friends i need your help....
Im confused between these two gadgets.
Both looks nice but i need a true performing phone with decent camera and battery life.
3t all day.
Battery and performance goes to 3t, camera is better on the 6p.
I have both and I am still very much torned between the two. I really kind of like OnePlus3t more than 6P. But then 6P has better camera, better screen, better speakers...just still Oneplus I like the size of the phone, feels fluis, battery is better..
Well I did what any phone-obsessed and irrational guy would do and bought Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
Now not sure which one of these 3 I like the most...
With the recent issues with 6P, I would suggest choosing 3T.
I had both. 6P has much better display, camera, vibrator, speakers, system and best support afaik. Also you are getting charging via USB Power Delivery (which is safer and more compatible than dash charge) and much better security.
3T is much faster (but not smoother, Oxygen OS is more laggy than the stock Nougat in Nexus 6P tho), has better battery life and that's about it.
In my opinion, 6P is better device than OnePlus 3T but Nexus with it's outdated specs for about the same price as OP3T, is very hard to recommend.
My 6P is having bad battery problems after a year, shutting down at 28%+ I'm looking at moving to the 3T because of it so I'd avoid the 6P at the moment.
I have a 3t for about two weeks and all i can say is that this is the best experience i have ever had on a phone. In terms of performance, there is no lag or freeze or stuff like this, using 10-15 apps daily, but no games. I get 1 to 1,5 days of battery which for me is more than enough. I play facebook videos and youtube for about 2-3 hours a day. Dash charge is perfect, in about 1 hour it charges 80-90% . Someone i know has a 6p and he says he is satisfied but hes only regret is the battery which lasts him about 10 hours. I recomend you to go for the 3t , main reasons would be the 821 processor , 6 gigs ram and the battery. If you are a nexus fan, go for 6p, but in my oppinion, SD 810 is quite old
I had the nexus 6p and do not regret selling it for the 3t
I was concerned about the display being less resolution buy do not notice it.
I was in the same dilemma, but ultimately went for the 3T simply because of the new gen hardware over last gen N6P. The camera is the only major thing that's better in 6P, so if you absolutely want the best camera, then only you should consider 6P. If you want a more complete package, 3T is a clear Choice. Plus the Dev support is awesome!

On top of new hardware, the Nexus 6p is still being sold on Swappa for around $380. I'd rather pay a few bucks more to get better hardware. If the Nexus 6p was around $250 then it'd be a different t story.
OnePlus 3T is great for the price.
I've been seriously considering coming back to Oneplus with the 3T. This 810 chip in the 6P is so damn annoying. Anyways I still love my 6P even with its flaws. Did anyone here come from a 6P and was it worth? Do you feel like it was a noticeable upgrade.
Thanks

I miss my 6P. My 128gb 3t is fine I guess, but just liked my frost white 128gb 6p more. 3t will suffice until something better comes along.
I came from a Oneplus 2 (snapdragon 810), the 820/821 is really good with thermal, almost no throttling, it keeps always low temps. The 810 is a **** compared to this, i recommend you to upgrade, i was impressive with the battery, the 820/821 uses a lot less battery than the 810. With the oneplus 2 (3300mah) i got 4h 30m of SOT. With OP3T (3400mah) i get 7h of SOT.
Currently using the 6p is it worth the upgrade to the 3t
i did the same.
camera felt like a bit of a downgrade, but that's just my opinion. not that 3t's camera is bad, it's quite capable too but i feel the lowlight shots are better handled by the 6p.
3t is much more manageable in the hand of course.
development scene is similar so no issues here.
i felt like 3t gave me much better battery life, in large part due to the screen i suppose. and the screen is quite good, you won't notice any difference even though it's fhd. real world performance is quite similar but it does not heat up like the 6p (my 6p used to heat up occassionally)
Just bought my 3t yesterday and i still have my Nexus 6p. The phone is awesome, it's really fast way much easier to hold in 1 hand. Performance is phenomenal compare to nexus 6p not by much but i can feel it Camera is more than ok for me, shoots great picture in good light condition. Im ok with the 1080p screen it saves a lot on battery. The best part for me have to be the 6gb of ram, seriously this thing fly's 10 apps in the background and they never reload not even once. Overall great phone specially for the price.

I did the same and never looked back. Best decision ever made.
I will only miss the Beta program and Latest update but it doesn't matter anymore. Resurrection Remix is the best daily driver ever for me.
Hello to you Guys
yes last week i've sold my 6p,now i'm a lucky owner of an 3T
glad to see some peoples from the 6p section
like @flar2 @franciscofranco and few other guys:good:
i'm glad to be here
cheers
Little update from myself
A new owner of a 3t and your correct this thing fly's.
Little things like camera isn't has good , slow motion is not on the 6p level but hopefully things can get better.
I'm running freedom with Franco and managed 6hrs sot yesterday
Dash charger is also phenomenal
I upgraded from 6p and it's definitely an improvement. Battery life if incredibly better and everything is a lot better apart from the camera... It felt a lot worse in that department... We have ois anyway and it's way better for videos, just doesn't capture all the details the 6p sensor can capture
