Friends i need your help....
Im confused between these two gadgets.
Both looks nice but i need a true performing phone with decent camera and battery life.
3t all day.
Battery and performance goes to 3t, camera is better on the 6p.
I have both and I am still very much torned between the two. I really kind of like OnePlus3t more than 6P. But then 6P has better camera, better screen, better speakers...just still Oneplus I like the size of the phone, feels fluis, battery is better..
Well I did what any phone-obsessed and irrational guy would do and bought Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
Now not sure which one of these 3 I like the most...
With the recent issues with 6P, I would suggest choosing 3T.
I had both. 6P has much better display, camera, vibrator, speakers, system and best support afaik. Also you are getting charging via USB Power Delivery (which is safer and more compatible than dash charge) and much better security.
3T is much faster (but not smoother, Oxygen OS is more laggy than the stock Nougat in Nexus 6P tho), has better battery life and that's about it.
In my opinion, 6P is better device than OnePlus 3T but Nexus with it's outdated specs for about the same price as OP3T, is very hard to recommend.
My 6P is having bad battery problems after a year, shutting down at 28%+ I'm looking at moving to the 3T because of it so I'd avoid the 6P at the moment.
I have a 3t for about two weeks and all i can say is that this is the best experience i have ever had on a phone. In terms of performance, there is no lag or freeze or stuff like this, using 10-15 apps daily, but no games. I get 1 to 1,5 days of battery which for me is more than enough. I play facebook videos and youtube for about 2-3 hours a day. Dash charge is perfect, in about 1 hour it charges 80-90% . Someone i know has a 6p and he says he is satisfied but hes only regret is the battery which lasts him about 10 hours. I recomend you to go for the 3t , main reasons would be the 821 processor , 6 gigs ram and the battery. If you are a nexus fan, go for 6p, but in my oppinion, SD 810 is quite old
I had the nexus 6p and do not regret selling it for the 3t
I was concerned about the display being less resolution buy do not notice it.
I was in the same dilemma, but ultimately went for the 3T simply because of the new gen hardware over last gen N6P. The camera is the only major thing that's better in 6P, so if you absolutely want the best camera, then only you should consider 6P. If you want a more complete package, 3T is a clear Choice. Plus the Dev support is awesome!

On top of new hardware, the Nexus 6p is still being sold on Swappa for around $380. I'd rather pay a few bucks more to get better hardware. If the Nexus 6p was around $250 then it'd be a different t story.
OnePlus 3T is great for the price.

I currently have a OnePlus One, rooted and running CM12.0. This phone has excellent battery life, and is very fast.
But I bought a Nexus 6 for my Wife her birthday last month, and rooted it running Chroma ROM, and the phone is really nice too, and I like the larger size, and really like the AMOLED screen much better, and speakers too, over my OPO. My Wife gives two craps which phone she uses, and she actually would prefer a little smaller device. So I can swap phones with her, and she'd be happy.
Question is, I haven't used her Nexus 6 for a full day ever, I just tinker around with it for an hour or two here and there. But how does it hold up for a full days use ? I know the OPO is known as one of the top battery Android phones out there, and I read the Nexus 6 is not that great on battery life ? ( My wife comes home with 50% to 60% still left on her phone after a full days work, but she barely touches it, maybe 2.5h - 3h On Screen time per day )
So has anyone here had the OnePlus One, and switched to the Nexus 6 ? Opinions ?
Thank you
I came from the OPO to the N6 and I'll be honest, I like the OPO in pure head-head comparison. The two are very very similar and my personal margin between the two is razor thin. I like the OPO battery life, and the customization options of CM. The size, weight, and feel in the hand is P E R F E C T. As a matter of fact I pulled it out last night to prepare it for a relative to borrow, and it's just right to me. The N6 screen is better, and it works on VZW which trounces the other networks. VZW is such a better experience for me and that was really the only factor that makes me use my N6.
The OPO may be a pain to obtain and their customer service might be garbage, but the OPO is a device that is waaaaay underrated when it comes to day-to-day living. I'd say it's the best phone I've ever used even edging out my beloved gen 1 Moto X. If it worked on VZW I'd be rocking it right now, no doubt.
Thanks Dusty, so sounds like you'd choose the OPO over the N6, if the OPO worked on Verizon ?
That doesn't sound good for the Nexus ?
You need to provide a battery log using better battery stats. You have a rogue app that is preventing your phone from entering sleep mode.
Several things you can do increase battery life such as underclock gpu and cpu then make a profile to ramp up your cpu and gpu based on certain applications (by using Franco kernel updater).
Battery life is also determined by your cellular strength and signal. If the signal is bad, it will drain more battery life than usual. Make refresh intervals for certain apps longer than what it is already. If you're using weather on status bar, make the refresh interval 6 hours or something that is longer than what it is already.
Just do a search on how to improve your battery life.

Don't get me wrong. The Nexus is a total BEAST, but outside of the specs I just found the OPO to be a better device. I don't play games so total horsepower isn't a big deal. On a screen 6" and under I don't see a difference between 1080p, 720p, or 4K video. You can tell the difference in screen DPIs. The colors are vibrant and deep on the Nexus 6. The OPO sometimes stutters with 1080p video. The OPO still doesn't have 5.1. The OPO CM12S camera app is worlds better than the stock Google camera app.
But even with all of that between them, if someone had an OPO who was happy with their carrier and asked me if they should buy an N6 I'd have to say hold what you've got for one more phone cycle. I guess the best way to explain it is, if you have an OPO you definitely shouldn't feel like you're "missing out" when it comes to devices. It's not that the Nexus 6 is bad, it's that the OPO is so good at maximizing what it has.

I switched from the OPO to the N6 about three months ago. While the OPO was a fine device, it can't hold a candle to the N6 IMHO. Battery life (similar usage and apps installed) is a little better on the N6 for me. FWIW; stock rooted, unencrypted kernel.

I have to agree with you. Got the Nexus 6 this weekend, and immediately flashed Chroma ROM, and now on my second day with this beast, and I LOVE it. Size wise, it doesn't feel substantially larger than my OnePlus, but quality wise it does feel night and day better. The display is so much nicer, with the deep AMOLED features, and just overall this phone feels tighter and better built.
Which kernel are you running ?
I was all signing the OnePlus One's praises, calling it my fav Android phone, etc... but after two days with this Nexus 6, no way. Yes for the price of $350 of course the OPO is great, but other than that, the Nexus 6 just seems tons better.

The screen was a huge upgrade. I always thought the OnePlus had a nice good screen, but after the Nexus 6, the OPO display looks bluish and washed out, and poor quality in comparison.
The AMOLED display on the Nexus 6 looks so vibrant and great colors. I much prefer this.
And size wise it's not that big a difference. If you can handle the OnePlus size the Nexus 6 just feels a bit bigger.

Thought I would throw my comments in; I had a OPO and honestly loved it. Battery was the best I've ever had and CM was excellent. I had no issues with it, but I've been a Nexus junky for years and had to at least give it a shot. When I got my N6 I used it for 2 days and was going to return it, I even had a return from ATT. But I waited a week and have not turned on the OPO since. Once I found the right rom/kernel, Benzo and Vindicator, battery is on par with the OPO. The features of the rom are a bit better and the size and screen are just right for me. It was a tough choice, but in the end my son has my OPO and I have my N6.
I personally feel if I'm on XDA and I've not unlocked and rooted and tried a few roms and kernels, I'm not using the insane resources available here for free! Do a nandroid of stock and then try all the roms/kernels and see what you like. It takes 5 minutes to restore to where you were.
I am an owner of Oneplus 2 and I'm considering to buy Oneplus 3T. Should I buy it? How is the battery life compared to 1+2? Oneplus 3T tends to overheat just like 1+2? Thanks in advance for the answers

I was the owner of an OnePlus One and bought this one because my OPO was broken.
Was it worth the money? Definitely yes
No problems with OOS 3.5.3, no overheating, Antutu benchmark was blasting 166k and battery around 2,5 days.
Changed to Cm13 (the very first underclocked version) and have no 3.5 days with around 2 hours calls, 3h SoT and 6 hours activity (hearbooks at night).
i upgraded from OP2, it completely worth the money
i guess op2 is the worst device that made by OP
I upgraded from the OP2 and the 3T was TOTALLY worth the upgrade! I like it so much better! Everything is better. Battery, heat, performance, camera, etc.
Not only is it worth upgrading from OP2 (which I owned), it's arguable worth leaving the Pixel XL for (which I did today).

It's worth the money!!!
Last year I bought a OP2. I came from an HTC One m7 (4 years old) and went back! OP2 is in my opinion the most fake smartphone ever made. It's an Octacore with 4 cores loked... Otherwise it's getting to hot.... Just compare it with other devices with ab Qcom 810 and you see it.
Now I got my OP3T 3days ago. And this is the first phone I'm very happy with since years!
Fast, smooth, nice screen and a full aluminum body!
Did I told you about dash charge?
OP2 --> OP3T : Nice upgrade

I'm the proud owner of the OP3T since last week. Honestly, I'm very positive about the OP2, so I gave him to my stepsun who's OPX has broken.
The most important improvements as far as I can say after 1 week using my OP3T I confirm he's sooooo fast and smooth, feels great in the hand and the 16 pixels front camera is amazing. I'll keep you posted about my further experiences

Yes it is. I went from a OP2 to OP3T and love it. Much better feel in the hand, much better camera and quick.
I came from the OP2 and i have to say: no, the upgrade isn't really necessary, if you don't miss the possibility of a 128 GB memory. Battery life is a little better, but not more.
If you understand to adjust your OP2 it is absolutely not "the worst device, made by Oneplus". That's rubbish. The OP2 is a very good and nice device with certain suboptimal points, which are easily to compensate... Heating CPU and so on..
For me the OP2 always works in a proper way.
The OP3T works very good as well, maybe a LITTLE better and it's CPU won't overheat. But it isn't worlds apart from OP2...
Just my 2 cents...
Cheers

I've been seriously considering coming back to Oneplus with the 3T. This 810 chip in the 6P is so damn annoying. Anyways I still love my 6P even with its flaws. Did anyone here come from a 6P and was it worth? Do you feel like it was a noticeable upgrade.
Thanks

I miss my 6P. My 128gb 3t is fine I guess, but just liked my frost white 128gb 6p more. 3t will suffice until something better comes along.
I came from a Oneplus 2 (snapdragon 810), the 820/821 is really good with thermal, almost no throttling, it keeps always low temps. The 810 is a **** compared to this, i recommend you to upgrade, i was impressive with the battery, the 820/821 uses a lot less battery than the 810. With the oneplus 2 (3300mah) i got 4h 30m of SOT. With OP3T (3400mah) i get 7h of SOT.
Currently using the 6p is it worth the upgrade to the 3t
i did the same.
camera felt like a bit of a downgrade, but that's just my opinion. not that 3t's camera is bad, it's quite capable too but i feel the lowlight shots are better handled by the 6p.
3t is much more manageable in the hand of course.
development scene is similar so no issues here.
i felt like 3t gave me much better battery life, in large part due to the screen i suppose. and the screen is quite good, you won't notice any difference even though it's fhd. real world performance is quite similar but it does not heat up like the 6p (my 6p used to heat up occassionally)
Just bought my 3t yesterday and i still have my Nexus 6p. The phone is awesome, it's really fast way much easier to hold in 1 hand. Performance is phenomenal compare to nexus 6p not by much but i can feel it Camera is more than ok for me, shoots great picture in good light condition. Im ok with the 1080p screen it saves a lot on battery. The best part for me have to be the 6gb of ram, seriously this thing fly's 10 apps in the background and they never reload not even once. Overall great phone specially for the price.

I did the same and never looked back. Best decision ever made.
I will only miss the Beta program and Latest update but it doesn't matter anymore. Resurrection Remix is the best daily driver ever for me.
Hello to you Guys
yes last week i've sold my 6p,now i'm a lucky owner of an 3T
glad to see some peoples from the 6p section
like @flar2 @franciscofranco and few other guys:good:
i'm glad to be here
cheers
Little update from myself
A new owner of a 3t and your correct this thing fly's.
Little things like camera isn't has good , slow motion is not on the 6p level but hopefully things can get better.
I'm running freedom with Franco and managed 6hrs sot yesterday
Dash charger is also phenomenal
I upgraded from 6p and it's definitely an improvement. Battery life if incredibly better and everything is a lot better apart from the camera... It felt a lot worse in that department... We have ois anyway and it's way better for videos, just doesn't capture all the details the 6p sensor can capture

Same here but I sold the 6P a week after I got the OnePlus 3T. This is my first OnePlus and based on the phone and the price and the development, it definitely won't be my last.
Eventhough I love my N6, my most important point is the battery live. I run the Beltz Rom and happy with it.
Are you experienced with the Nexus 6P or 5x and willing to share your cons and pro against the N6?
Perhaps when I find a good second hand offer, I like to switch, or use it as a second device.

I can speak for Nexus 5x. For me,it is better in every aspect but I prefer performance over screen or stereo speakers. Unfortunately ,both devices die suddenly. I would recommend 6p, better in every way and less 6p devices are dying.. at the end it's a gamble.
Only buy one with warranty, otherwise you should pass
Thanks for your reply. After reading more about the cpu bootloop errors of these devices, I think I skip my idea of changing my N6. Or it must be an offer I can’t resist.
Thanks for the advice.

To be honest, I would tell you to skip all of Google's phones, but the Pixel series may be something to consider. I have always loved the Nexus series, but they're more fun for tinkering, not as daily drivers. All Nexus devices I have owned have had known problems and/or bugs that others have reported.
With the Nexus 7 I was curse after I gave my first one away (which was perfect, rest in peace that tablet). The second one had the infamous creaking on the left hand side. Another one after that had the terrible wifi plague. A third had the speaker problem I cannot quite recall. The 2nd gen Nexus 7 was beautiful and worked perfectly, I cannot say I have complaints about it at all, other than the first one which had it's charge port fail in a matter of about 2 weeks of use. The Galaxy Nexus was my favorite phone, and I kept it as a relic until some time last year. The Nexus 4 was ruined with the throttling update, sadly, so I went with it's brother, the LG Optimus G. The Nexus 5 was the worst phone with a Snapdragon 800 SoC, and the battery life was very bad. It was however one of my favorite phones although again, I gave it up for it's brother the LG G2. The Nexus 6 is...very hot, and mine has the speaker volume issue that many users report. It is the only Nexus I never got rid of and am currently using all over again due to specific circumstances. The Nexus 6P was great, but the Snapdragon 810 had the overheat issues that also ruined it's performance in games and made the battery life unpredictable. I loved the screen, the body, the camera (which was a major component on the 6P) and the sound quality, but after reading about the CPU thing, I'm glad I didn't stick to it as with my luck, I would've been one to have it happen to me.
I haven't heard complaints about the 2nd gen Pixels, but my trust in them has simply faded away. I was a die hard Google fan, but Google simply let most of it's users down by not being responsible. Sure these devices had warranties, but you'd waste time to get another new one with the same problem. I moved on from their devices and fell in love with Xiaomi smartphones. Their updates do have bugs from time to time, but I've not had hardware problems. I've gambled a lot with their smartphones as a US buyer; there is no warranty here, nor much of a way to repair it should something go wrong, and it has not let me down.
If you're considering the 5X or 6P because you're in the market for a used phone, I'd honestly tell you to stick to the Nexus 6 a bit longer and instead go for something new with a balance of affordability, great battery life AND overall performance such as the OnePlus 6. If you can afford one, perhaps save up for a Pixel 2 or Pixel XL 2.
Or jump to OnePlus...
oneplus 3t or 5t is good choice for battery life my friend get 7h Sot with his oneplus 3t
