Hello All
The stock ringtones that come with my Google Nexus 6 are not loud enough even with the volume high i work in a noisy environment
I am looking to download some old school ringtones that I can pay for that don't want access to your contacts pictures etc like the free ones do and that work with a Nexus 6
Thanks All
Have you try Zedge ?
Try minion ringtones they are amazing!!! I personally have set the 'tararara' for phone/alarm and 'bottom' for notifications. Thank me if you found them cute. Happy new year!
Love,
Syed

Nokia Kick
Dying Nokia from the movie Crank. Loud, oldschool, sharp, crisp, and unique.
I think there is an old AOSP one called Carina. That's what I use and have used for roughly five years in a relatively loud environment. Even hear it with ear plugs and it's in my pocket.
Plenty of good options here

i use audacity and make my own out of mp3s i rip...the bourne song at the end of the movies makes a great ringtone...find some electronica music and use parts of that...you can cut the mp3, fade it in/out and do other things with audacity...it's not hard...if i could figure it out, anyone can...and the good thing is they come from my cd's so i know they are clean...

Old school? Loud?? I use the intro to Ozzy's Crazy Train. First of all its a timeless classic still used at sporting events around the world but most importantly for me is that the different sounds in just that first 30 seconds really catches my ear. Between his screaming opening vocal to the rattle of the vibraslap and finally the screeching pick slide on the guitar, I rarely miss a call. Another good one is Van Halen's Eruption. Lots of note changes (and loud like Crazy Train) so it tends to catch your ear.
You did say old school

+1 for this.
Pink Floyd's "Time" ringtone from Zedge works great for me. Nothing like a bunch of bells waking you up....

I tried just about every trick and program like SRS and reg entries but they dont make it loud enough.
I always loved my 8525 because it was loud in every single way. i replaced my tilt thinking it was the phone issue but my replacement was the same. I play music frequently on my tilt but my 8525 is much louder. of course all settings have been set to max but its not enough. I love my tilt but the low volume BS just kills it.
Search around and you will find a few tweaks... but you ain't gonna be happy... if you think it is quieter than the 8525... You obviously never owned a 8125 wizard, with stereo speakers... try using tcpmp and adjust the preamp level...
Yeah, i use TCPMP as well. And one of the main reasons being the preamp feature.
yeah, TCPMP should make it loud enough, or if you want some eye candy go with CorePlayer, but its possible to play youtube videos straight from the site through tcpmp (that's if you didn't know already). tcpmp is free, coreplayer is $

yea my kaiser can go as loud as those hoodies and chavs phones when i use TCPMP. somewhere in the settings you can change the threshhold volume or sumthing. does get muffled tho if u put it too loud.
those Hooded Chavs cant out do me now haha!
what the heck is hooded chavs phones lol
Hooded Chavs is an English name for something like lowlife punks here in the us. So pretty much like the idiots here that walk around with their phone sso loud eveyone can here what they are doing.
still no clue
thanks for the response guy and I have tried TCPMP but it distorts @ high volume. BTW I do have MDA and it was pretty quite even with 2 speakers.
does any anyone know if the gain from SRS WOW can be modified? it quite a bit louder when set to "headphones" but I have to set it everytime I use it.

Ahhh. So the American equivalent to "hooded chavs" is people with Nextel 2-Way walkie-talkies. People who have an entire conversation in non-duplex form.
LOL Basicly yeah. Try playing pac-man in a quiet room full of people with the speakers all the way up... I'm sure you'll catch someone laughing
Hi, I was wondering if there was a free voice changing application thats free for our TP's. I just saw the new iPhone app, I am T-Pain and I thought it was pretty cool. Is there anyway anyone can make this app if it doesnt exist?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZQHyfDs8DI
Pretty cool huh?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z13AjI8n4I
Haha yeah I know, but the song is refering to people using it to make songs and songs that become hot ringtones. I, however, want it for fun.
Jay-Z is the man though. Have you heard Blueprint 3? What do you think about it? I mean, EVEN HOV USED AUTOTUNE ON THIS ALBUM!
glad somebody said something. HOVA!
Off Topic(?)
BP3 kind of sucked. OB4CL 2 is waaay better.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yt7gMRBeEBw
You can continue (a WinMo Voice modifier would be pretty nice though-I like to make Prank calls)
This app works in a very similar way to DSP manager except this can go much louder!
This application is priced at £1.25 on the Android Market but is (and always will be) available for free on here and on my website.
Android Market Link
It currently includes a Speaker Volume Boost and a Bass Enhancer, with more features planned.
Due to the fact that different mobile companies make different quality speakers, this app with sound very different depending on the phone it's being used on. For example, it sounds pretty bad on the Nexus One because the Nexus has a terrible speaker. It might sound better on other phones, i dunno.
The regular Disclaimer applies (see app discription, or disclaimer in the app).
Enjoy
I'll give this a run with the Droid X on GB and let you know the results.
it says all phones but does it work with lg p500 ?
How About a NC?
Anyone know / tried this on a Nook Color running CM7?
It should work on all phones which are running Gingerbread (2.3)
Does it need Root-Access?
I'll have to test this out. Thanks
Sounds great
Is there any risk of outwearing ones' speaker using this kind of apps?
Maybe there is no instant sign of it, but in time it might just get noticeable..
Does anyone have experience with this?
give it a try later..
Amazing on Inspire 4G!
using this on nscolab with voodoo sound and it works great !!! so much louder however anything above +3 comes out distorted like hell but even +3 is well loud !
HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

I was hoping this would increase the volume of movies played with Rockplayer through headphones for when I am on the tube, alas it does not, any chance of this being sorted? Nexus s i9023 2.3.4 with latest version of Rockplayer.
How much can you really do with the same hardware?
The best speakers I have had is the Motorola e398.
Stereo speakers and simulated sub.
Truly awesome with VooDoo... love all the little tweaks and effects, really imporoves the sound
Oh yes!
It works for Motorola Defy whit CyanogenMod 7 Beta 6 (Android 2.3.4)
My ear's are bleeding

Indeed. Since the Inspire normally has subpar volume, this app fixes the problem and offers more juice than what I needed. Perfect for those important alarms I need to respond too.
Doesn't work on Droid X GB. Would've been nice but oh well.
I'll try it later ^^

thanks i read tons of reviews and still cant decide because one has better freq and the other has this remote+mic and i dont know how is it important that the klipsch has freq upto 19k...
For me, buying without hearing, is nonsense Advice: go to store with your phone and try to lesson various hp. Remember - 19k this is maximum freq., most people doesn't hear up to 16k, especially older people. 19k, 108 db - these are only numbers.
There are Android specific s4a coming soon if you can hold out. http://www.klipsch.com/image-S4A-headphones
Edit: I had some s4 and lost them. I'm going to get these to replace when they finally release. I recommend these to go with them: http://www.complyfoam.com/products/Tx-100/

I agree with this. Highly suggest that you wait for these earbuds to come out as they support volume control unlike any other ones.

No they don't. Volume buttons don't work at all, and the remote is iffy, sometimes double click will register and skip to the next song, sometimes not, sometimes it will pause it. Skipping back to previous obviously doesn't work at all. If you want a remote, wait or look elsewhere, these are great sounding headphones, but remote is useless on Android.

THANKS!!
close this post plz...
I use the sennheiser, too and they were totally awesome.
The Klipsch S4A are out in the retail channel. Picked up a pair the other day. All is now right with the world again. Using them with comply foam tips. Having more control with the remote is nice. I've used volume a couple times already. Obviously they sound just as great as the others in the S4 line. recommend.
as another member was mention that high freq the one goes up to you wont hear probably( and if you did probably wouldnt sound good either) look and see which one has the lowest freq since that will be the pair with better bass

Hi - have you now had the opportunity to spend more time with the S4A headphones?
Is the remote control fully functional? Klipsch has a disclaimer on their product page that it doesn't work properly with many Samsung Galaxy line phones such as the S2 and the Captivate.
They do not mention the Nexus S though.
I plan on getting a pair with the remote control being a big draw..
Thanks.
Tomorrow I'm going to a concert and I would like to record with my Samsung Captivate.
I heard that the microphone is horrible when recording loud sounds.
I'm on KH3 and I don't know if the bug is still present. I got the application "Voodoo Control Plus" and there's a Microphone presets.
What should I go with, these are the options available.
--Original
--Balanced (new default) With DRC
--High Sensivity with DRC
--Loud Environment with DRC
I suppose Loud environment right? If not, what? Balanced?
Thanks,
NightShack
If you want to have a good sound...please use something else. I know this from experience.
Just saying.

Well I don't have anything else so I'll just have to use it even with the crappy mic.
I will be using the "Loud" setting, I just tested it recording next to a speaker and the "Original" sounds like **** and the Balanced and Loud are the best ones, but the Loud is better.
You recording a concert is Illegal. Its called stealing. If you get caught it will cost you a great deal of money. Best case scenario they kick you out and you miss the concert you paid to see. Besides, sound fields at concerts all sound like crap anyway. Just shell out the 13 bucks for the cd or steal it off the internet.

Yeah buts it's alot easier to get away with stealing music off the internet than it is to stand in the middle of a concert with your phone shoved in the air like a moron.
P.S. I fixed your post.

Stealing? Are you crazy?...Then why almost all people record it, or at least take pictures They don't even check for cameras at the entrance, unless it's a professional one....
Anyways..here's a video I recorded with Voodoo Sound (Loud Environment setting)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb6GyuwFHT4&feature=channel_video_title
It turned out decent and sound is ok.. The video quality sucks because I had somewhat bad seats.
A lot of bands allow recording and sharing of their concerts. Check out Live Music Archive for bands that allow sharing of their concerts. It's not an illegal site. All the bands on the site give their permission before concerts can be posted. There are more bands that allow recording but don't allow sharing over the internet. The Dave Mattew's Band is one of the better known bands that allow recording but not internet sharing.
